Banana cream pie - bananas were overripe Pumpkin crunch pie - had a thin, soggy crust. Pumpkin filling was curdled like scrambled egg texture, under-sweet, and under-spiced. Not worth the $5 per slice. Very disappointing. 2-stars from me means that the food was edible, but definitely not recommendable. Not a quick glance; she kept looking over at us the entire time we were waiting to be seated. It was already uncomfortable. When I ordered breakfast, I specifically asked for no sausages. My family is Muslim, and we follow halal dietary guidelines, which means we only eat meat that has been prepared in accordance with Islamic law. Pork is not permitted at all. I made this very clear when I placed my order. When the food came out, not only were there sausages on my plate, they were burnt pork sausages. I was shocked. I politely raised it with the server, and the woman behind the counter told me they were "the best sausages available" and that I "should try them for once." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. This wasn't a matter of preference...it is a fundamental part of my faith. The fact that my simple request was ignored and then dismissed so casually was deeply hurtful. We left without finishing our meal. My kids were confused and I was upset. It was a very uncomfortable experience from start to finish.
