This was after a day in St John. After we got off the ferry, my lady and I were super hungry. We were walking and saw the ambiance of this place and were like...oh yeah this is the spot for dinner before we head back to Amalie. Let me tell you - the food was exquisite!!! We had every course. The jerk shrimp tostadas were good. The bread was also great absurd a nice complement to wait for our main courses. I had the lamb chops and my lady had a nice seafood. I have nothing but 10/10 for every course. We had crème brûlée and affogato for dessert. I love affogato. Spectacular experience, and well worth it for the amount of food we got for $200. In DC, that would be a drink and a main course. We both had multiple drinks and plates. This is a food experience that will stay ingrained in my head.

Beautiful personality, very welcoming, attentive, helpful and made some great recommendations The location: Parking is a challenge in the area. We drove and I spent almost 25 minutes circling the area for avail parking. The surprise: 4% convenience fee which is not explained or stated. The gratuity of 20% added to a party of 4 (although for service received this time-no complaints) other than wanting to inform others The Easterly was good and glad we tried it. Even thought it took forever to find parking. The restaurant has an immediate good vibe with music playing, the view out to the bay with boats in the background, and modern flair. You are immediately attended to by staff and your waitress. De'Janae was a sweetheart - Such a warm, friendly, and helpful waitress. Now, let's talk food. For a small plate the tuna crudo was delicious. The spreads and breads with the beet hummus and feta spread was a well balanced appetizer of bread and spread before the meal with a drink in hand. I found myself dipping into the beet hummus more than the feta. The only thing i did not like was the Vessup alcoholic drink. It lacked flavor and any taste of the tequila I had upgraded. My wife loved her seafood risotto (i didn't like the truffle oil), the kids loved the shrimp tostadas and the added on lobster tail. The snapper on special was good; however, way too many bones. Having to be really careful and pick the bones out takes the joy out of eating such a good fish (too much work). Would choose something else All in all, good and would come again to try different things on the menu. It's a little pricey though. For a family of four it was $$$$ which translates to about 400 for us.
I hosted my 40th birthday at The Easterly while a group of us was visiting St. Thomas. The service was so good. The waiter did an amazing job catering to our group of 12. The seafood was so fresh and delicious. The tomahawk was seasoned and cooked to perfection! I even got to do a birthday shot with the bartender as it was his birthday too!
We had our last dinner in St Thomas at Easterly and it was the perfect last dinner. The food, the ambiance and the service everything was 10/10. Our host Kiki was so sweet and professional. My fiancée is vegetarian and the only vegetarian dish wasn't available, Kiki suggested an alternative that wasn't on the menu "Cauliflower steak" and the dish was delicious even the non vegetarian tried it and loved it. Highly recommended to try the steak, the portion is big enough for 2 at least. At the end, we were offered home made coconut macaroons for to go, we tried them later and they are very well made. Can't wait to be back!
Service was amazing. Heather went above and beyond to make our evening fantastic. She was knowledgeable of the dishes and always able and capable of delivering great service. The ambiance is lovely. There are a lot of fans. It gets annoying sometimes and a little windy. It sounds silly but it was very noticeable. It didn't distract from the dining but we did take note. The dishes and cups are some type of pottery. They were awkward and heavy. They are cool to look at but not very functional. They belong in a museum. The food is good and of very high quality. The apps really stole the show. The avocado flatbread is bursting with flavor and the spreads were incredible with the homemade focaccia. Ridiculously good. The entrees however even with their incredible high quality wahoo and chicken lacked pop and flavor. They both seemed bland and missing that punch of flavor I would expect at a high end establishment. Maybe they dialed it down to accentuate the flavor of the meat but they fell a little flat. Desert was fine, chocolate cake with some vanilla ice cream. But the coffee. The coffee is served again in an awkward pottery cup. It's also sold by the cup. It's good local coffee, but a per cup price seemed extreme. They also served it with full cream which curdled in the coffee and was just a bit unpleasant. Not unexpected, but for high end coffee at that price and per cup it was just ok. Overall we really enjoyed our meal and experience
The ambiance at The Easterly is absolutely beautiful--tropical, breezy, and thoughtfully designed with island vibes that instantly set the mood for a relaxing evening. We stopped by specifically for their oyster happy hour and were really pleased with the dozen Rockefeller--fresh, flavorful, and a great value during the special. The complimentary bread they brought out was unexpectedly amazing--warm, soft, and addictively good. Drinks were decent, nothing over-the-top, but they paired well with the setting. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and I'd definitely consider coming back for dinner next time to explore more of the menu.
Not bad! Just overpriced for the quality of the food. The mussels were good, and the tuna ceviche was amazing. Service was very kind and attentive, and the outdoor seating with a breeze off the water was lovely!
This was probably our favorite meal of the trip; however, for the price point, there were some hiccups that should not have happened. When checking online for availability, it looked like they were completely booked and we were happy we were able to snag a reservation; yet, when we got there, there was noone there but us. We were greeted by a friendly host who recommended we did not sit close to the outside as there was nothing they could do about the mosquitos. Our server was equally friendly and eager to answer any of our questions. We quickly decided on what to eat and then the wait began. Some fight broke out outside and all the staff ran out - they were all gone for about 10 minutes and I was (impatiently) waiting for my drink and the brussel sprouts we had ordered as an app. By the time they were back, our food came out. At that point, we had zero interest in the drink or the brussel sprouts - of which we advised our server. He said the drink would be comped so I agreed to try it. Unfortunately, the drink tasted quite watered down and wasn't impressive. But then he brought out the brussel sprouts anyway and we were charged for them. The brussel sprouts were okay, but I've had better. Onto our entrees now. My friend got the roasted chicken and it was quite tasty. I got the wahoo cooked as recommended by the server and it was a bit undercooked for my taste. I ate the outside of the fish which was good and smokey, but left most of the middle on the plate. We decided not to even bother with dessert. Overall, not the worst experience I've had, but somewhat upsetting at that price point. Note that they charge an automatic 20% tip.
I was so excited to come here but was let down over and over again. We made reservations and came a little early. The hostess took forever to seat us and once she finally did the waiter took forever to take our order. We ended up getting two glasses of Prosecco and ceviche to start, but that was the end of it. They literally took one hour to get the ceviche out to us and never once came back to ask if we would like another drink. So once the ceviche came we were like wth is this? It looked like seafood salad and wasn't good at all. So after that debacle we decided to make plans to eat dinner somewhere else. After we ate I paid the waiter and he never brought my change back and I had to walk up there after about 15 minutes and say, "Where is my change?" He was like, "Oh, sorry I forgot." SMH! This place has a great vibe but the service is terrible. I highly doubt that we will come back here the next time we are on the island. I am only giving it two stars because of the location and atmosphere, everything else sucked! I do not recommend!
The food at the Easterly was excellent. My husband had the Seafood Risotto and I had the Pork Chop w Hoisin sauce. Both were delicious. Our Server's name is Kiki and she was so nice and knowledgeable about the menu. She truly made our experience there memorable. The ambiance we very romantic, we were seated close to the water so that added to the atmosphere.
Such attentive service, the best flavor combinations in their food (the chicken with avocado, plantain, corn ribs, and glaze was AMAZING), and such an elevated, sexy, beachy vibe as well. Definitely a good spot for foodies and lovers of aesthetic spots alike!

We had a 5 pm dinner reservation on a Sunday night in late April. When we got there, we were the only patrons for maybe 30 minutes. There's a two story parking deck nearby that appears like it's mostly used for the ferry. That's where we parked and walked to The Easterly. Restaurant is completely open. I didn't have a hair tie with me and wish I had one since there was breeze rustling my long hair constantly. Everyone in our party got nibbled on a little bit by bugs so I'd be prepared with insect repellant too. Not a big deal - just noteworthy. Interior is beautiful and expansive. I typically contact restaurants before we dine to see if they can accommodate my daughter's food allergies. The Easterly was the only one with a working email and Kristen reassured me that they could make a safe dish for my daughter. I'm glad I contacted them beforehand because the chicken that was mentioned in the email wasn't on the menu so I was initially worried when we got there. They were able to make exactly what Kristen said they could so that was a relief. Anjali was our server. She was attentive, warm, easy to talk to, and patient with our children. She seemed to know the menu well and was able to make suggestions that we enjoyed. We were served drinks by a gentleman whose name we didn't catch and it appeared that a manager or two checked up on us as well. When my six year old was served his lemonade, he made a comment that it was sour so the gentleman offered to sweeten it up. We've never experienced that so I thought that was a thoughtful gesture. We ordered the ceviche, 6 oysters, wagyu steak, 2 pound lobster, potato dauphinoise, risotto, and broccolini. We also ordered several cocktails and someone confirmed that the Shirley temple would be safe for my daughter. Ceviche had a light, refreshing flavor to it. If I'm being picky, usually when oysters are served we're informed where they're from. I can't remember who served us the oysters and it's really not a big deal at the end of the day. I was a little surprised to see that the wagyu and lobster (referred to as a surf and turf) came with mashed potatoes and more broccolini. Wagyu market price was $160 and lobster was $65 per pound for us. A gentleman came by quickly after our food was served, said it appeared that we ordered the sides with the intent that it'd be the sides for the surf and turf (we had), and told us he'd fix our bill to reflect that. I appreciate it was addressed so quickly and our bill did reflect the adjustment. The potato dauphinoise was Anjali's suggestion and we loved it. Wagyu was accurately cooked medium rare. My six year old inhaled most of it. Lobster was nice and juicy and came with a seasoned butter dip that I liked. Broccolini had a nice smokiness to it. I thought the risotto was boring but my husband liked it. My daughter ate her chicken dish without any issues. She also had a side dish of plantain chips. Someone came out to clarify that they don't have a dedicated gluten free fryer so there'd be cross contamination. She can tolerate a shared fryer as long as the food she's eating itself isn't breaded. I appreciate that they were mindful of her allergies throughout our entire dinner. Ended dinner with the trio of sorbets and crème brûlée. The kids enjoyed the sorbets a lot. Their favorite was the raspberry based one. Each sorbet had bits of fruit in it and the flavors deviated a little from standard offerings. Crème brûlée was standard. A little side eye at the 20% service charge slapped on even though that's our standard minimum tip. I will say the service we got was so good that it was an easy balm. My husband even opted to add extra tip because of how pleased he was with the service we received. There's also a convenience fee of 4% you can avoid by paying cash. Our total came out to just over $590 without the additional tip my husband gave. read more

Third day in St. Thomas and so far this has been our favorite place we've dined! Our server Ajani was attentive and made great recommendations for us from the menu. The fish dip with plantains was our favorite but all of our food was delicious! The ambiance was relaxing and just so nice overall! We definitely plan to come back! read more

The first thing we noticed when we walked in was the cheery lighting and the sea-shelled walls. Then past that, the view of the sail boats bobbing on the water. We'd come to celebrate our anniversary and OH WOW! Each one of us ordered something different: from lobster to red snapper to risotto with crab and shrimp and scallops and more. At the end, they brought out delicious desserts - flan, and chocolate cake. Sparklers fizzed on each dessert and our boys captured my husband and I as we "blew" them out! It was pretty, it was delicious, and so special. Our sons had found it and made the reservation for all of us. GO! It's wonderful. read more

This is a partial review because we departed the restaurant before ordering our entrees. After a long day on the water, we were looking forward to a tranquil dining experience will great food. Unfortunately, we were seated at the front of the restaurant adjacent to the street and the noisy evening traffic was anything but tranquil. We ordered on of their virgin speciality drinks which entered up tasking like liquidated campfire smoke with a hint of pineapple. A sip each was all we could stomach. We were very hungry and eagerly looked a the menu for delicious options. They had shared with us that the menu was brand new so we were disappointed to find ourselves struggling to find any seafood items that were both flavorful and reasonably priced. At this point in time, my wife began to feel ill (it was very warm and the boat trip had left her a bit nauseous) so we asked for our check and excused ourselves without ordering entrees. Graciously, they comped us the near-full speciality drink. I'm going with 3 stars instead of 1 star because a full evening there could have altered our dining experience. We left before ordering entrees so 3 stars communicates our disappointment with the menu options while simultaneously recognizing the restaurant didn't have the opportunity to change our opinions with the actual food. That said, we don't plan to return to the restaurant at any point in the future. read more

Best service on island. Noah, Brandon, Jon, Ajani, Samantha. Just all great. Clearly it's a team effort and it shows! They all go out of their way to make sure your experience is the best. My favorite dish is the polenta. Ugh the sauce is incredible. Jon makes some delicious cocktails and is a joy to talk to. His banter with Brandon is so playful and inviting. Noah, our server, combined with Ajani and Samantha were so lovely. Best restaurant on island. Hands down. Food and drink. Food could use less salt. But honestly, who cares. Ambience is amazing, food amazing, staff is even better. read more

This place is gorgeous and in a wonderful location. It's one of the chicest restaurants in red hook. It's a must visit for me when I come to St. Thomas. Anything you order on the menu will be delightful but I highly recommend the ribs (if you eat pork), Brussels, the dips, lobster and all the cocktails are crafted with passion. The oyster happy hour is a great before dinner for something light. The dressed oysters were tasty and the regular were fresh. The bartenders were so friendly and hold great conversation. They made my birthday feel so special. My only call out is the staff that greets you at check in doesn't come across as very friendly. This coming from a New Yorker. They come across a bit cold. I understand it's a popular restaurant but that doesn't seem necessary. I hope management coaches to that. But also don't let that turn you off. Get in get settled and have a great time! The easterly is a gem. read more

Bloodline and local beer: 5 stars We got small plates: Spreads (flat bread coated with garlic oil), hamachi tiradito, grilled octopus, pork belly, and yuca fries. Ambience is chic and casual, prices are on the higher end but worth the price, reservations are highly recommended and we were seated within 5 mins. Service was friendly and was at a comfortable pace. Swings ar the resto are gone due to covid policing. Masks are strictly enforced. Per our server, Police in the island do random sweeps to make sure people are adhering to the rules to keep covid numbers down, and if customers are caught not following the resto can be shut down. Hence the strict mask wearing at establishments, they don't want to get fined and close up shop. read more

Reservations are definitely required for this hip restaurant. They have a great vibe with music and tons of fans going which were definitely needed because it was a little warm in the open air dining room. Got off to a rocky start with the menu - they were our of serval things but thankfully our server warned us of that right away. After being offered an extended wine list, we came to learn that they didn't have any of the whites or half of the roses listed, and we finally settled on a "similar" rose that wasn't on the menu. It was good, but annoying that the wine list was so wrong. After ordering our main courses, the server warned us that they take a long time (40min) which ended up being spot on. Had she not warned us, we wouldn't even annoyed at how long it took. The food was good. I had the pork rib chop with sweet potatoes, Brussel sprouts, and a spiced mango pineapple chutney - deliciously flavorful! My husband got the catch of the day which ended up being swordfish severed over a bed of rice and vegetables with a cilantro aioli; he cleared his plate as well. While the food was good, the overall dining experience for a more expensive night out somewhat missed the mark. read more

This place was recommended to us multiple time, and I am so happy that we got a reservation. We looooved our experience - from the food to the service. We had the Black Magic Oysters, Grilled Octopus and the Pork Rib Chop. The Pork Rib Chop was the best thing we had. It was DELICIOUS! And the oysters were amazing. Thanks to Moy who recommended them. He was so pleasant and attentive and guided us through our whole experience. This is a place worth coming back to for another visit. read more

Right on the water & delicious dinner with stunning cocktails. Every bite is divine ... the seafood risotto, tuna crudo, charred lettuce wedge salad are delicious and satisfying. Zack at the bar will make all your favorites but try the Fire thing ... roasted pineapple is ... and really appreciate the Luxardo cherry and homemade Aperol. Headed home happy ! read more
One of the most hyped up (and pricey) restaurants in St. Thomas. Located in Red Hook, this has a trendy waterside view with modern beach decor. The menu has a good variety and the portions are huge! The customer service was wonderful and the food was great, but each dish had a few quirks. Their cocktails were pretty tasty and unique! Though they were a bit watered down. She Draggin' and Bloodline were my favorite. + Octopus: Delicious and perfect amount for three people. Tender and succulent; a bit charred as well. The creamy sauce was a good touch. + Ahi Crudo: Our waitress recommend this one! Very fresh tuna sashimi. Doesn't taste fishy at all. The avocado was very firm and not too ripe. Those chili peppers add a great kick. + Tiradito: The daily catch was wahoo! They were big slices of fresh sashimi. The passion fruit sauce was so good! The watermelon radish was very unique. The portion was a bit smaller than the ahi crudo. + Papaya Salad: This is not your typical shredded Thai papaya salad that you may be used to. They use papaya more like a mango in this salad. It was pretty bland to be honest. + Lobster: Cooked very well done. Overcooked even. The flavors were really good and a bit salty. + Pork Rib Chop: The fatty pieces were tender and flavorful! But once I got more into it, it became more dry. The inside of the pork chop was really overcooked. Could barely finish it. + Rib Eye: OH MY GOD, IT'S HUGE. It was flavorful and cooked well, but it was pretty chewy. Not sure if it was due to the cut of meat? Or the way it was cooked? But the flavor was definitely there. Went well with the potatoes. This is definitely a dish worth sharing because it was massive. read more

First of all let me start by saying that living in Las Vegas you get to experience various cuisines & customer service. When you charge higher prices for dishes, you expect the price to be equivalen to excellent ingredients, plate presentation, & excellent service. I came to this eatery with a higher expectation, because of the reviews & prices I read on their menu. The service by the staff was excellent, & they cannot be blamed for the "back of the house" mistakes. The entree I ordered were 3 tiny peeled prawns at a whopping price of $21! That was the beginning of my evening & a great disappointment to say the least. Second, it came with my entree. At $48 for a red snapper, I expected great "platting" & excellent sides to accompany the dish. It was a fish with NO flavor (except for the natural sea salt), the kitchen staff did not clean the fish & it was full of scales which I ended up spitting the entire evening. Second, it was served with a watery tasteless rice when the menu described it as a "risotto." No green vegetables on this dish, whatsoever. I cannot understand why people are excited by this menu, perhaps because there's nothing else close to standard on the island? Very disappointed with this experience, especially towards the end when the flying cockroaches made their grand entrance jumping off their white pebbled wall. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, so I expected greater detail to go into their dishes. It's clear that profit is more important than balancing the prices with their dishes. Very sad to see this mentality in the food industry. Hopefully management will take a look at quality control in the kitchen & improve some things at the back of the house. This was a beautiful restaurant and the food was amazing! The staff was extremely friendly. Overall a 5 star experience! I recommend getting a bunch of small plates and an entree to try as much as possible. read more

Everything was excellent including the service. The smoked fish dip was a highlight as were the baked oysters and cocktails read more
While vacationing, we found this place on yelp and decided to check it out because of the decor and the open-air concept of the restaurant. We came in on a Friday night for dinner during Labor day weekend. We didn't have reservations so there was a bit of confusion with the hostess but we eventually sat at the bar which was totally fine with me. Absolutely loved the open-air concept in the front dining area. It gave me a Miami vibe. Trendy and tropical. Most of the patrons were dressed very casually chic. Not fancy but also not jeans and flip flops. We ordered a couple drinks which were very strong. Kudos to that! The bartenders were great! Very friendly and attentive. We ordered the pork belly (decent), the pork ribs (good), Hoppin John (ok) and Pomme Gratin (tasty). Great staff, great service and the ambience was awesome! read more
