    Bistro Theater

What a fun place! I just moved to the area recently and going to the movies used to be one of my favorite things before the pandemic. I thought the only theatre in the area with recliners was in O'Fallon. I was pleasantly surprised to find this gem! I love the bistro theatre! I can't wait to bring all my friends to explore everything else! I took one star off because I ordered food in the theatre and my burger did not come with any condiments (mayo, mustard). It's also way too dark in the theatre for me too eat so next time I will eat at the restaurant.

Been in S. IL for awhile, have often seen this place in passing on the freeway. Man have we been missing out!! This place doesn't look like much from outside (more like an old roller rink or bowling alley) but you go inside and WOW! They have so much going on movie theaters, race cars, bumper cars, bar, restaurant and video games. We all had such a great time!! Unfortunately they have a height and age limit on the cars, even though my grandson surpassed the height limit he was unable to ride (even with a paying adult) because he didn't meet age reqs, no-one in our group got to utilize the car part. As for the gaming area, we played almost $200bks if not more but didn't notice since we had such fun and all the games were working!! *Quick Note*... we've been going to DogWoods and it's always a disappointment because their game selection sucks and mostly because the very few games they have are broke down! The Edge IS our new got to place The food was Not Disappointing. We got burgers which were all so yummy as were the fries and a appetizer of chili fries for the table, omg those chili fries didn't look the best BUT darn were those babies so freakn' good!!! In fact we all went back just for those chili fries! Service was very nice, they mixed up our, forgot bacon on both bacon burgers, brought a burger plate we didn't order and another burger was the wrong burger but it got fixed when we mentioned it....I was a little disappointed they didn't offer a discount on the meal when they mess up orders but the good food seemed to have made us forget about the mix up. Ps they do have a small room with casino machines for the grown up near the bar.

I'm not sure where to start but I guess I will start with the good stuff. This is a huge entertainment center for both kids and adults. They have a movie theater, arcade, VR, bumper cars, go carts, bowling, laser tag, and a restaurant/bar. The employees that were working the VR, and go carts were awesome! Staff in general here were friendly but the manager needs some training. Example would be serving customers in the order they were in line but he helped people randomly. There are a few areas with arcade games. We didn't know there was one upstairs with bowling. If we would have known we would have the kids wonder up there to play games too. But the games are expensive!! They're 1$ per game and some of these games can be played as fast as 2 seconds. VR ranges from 4-8$ and that's a bit pricy for a game that's a few mins long. My sister in law ended up spending about 100$ in VR for her kids. They also kinda cheat you when you're loading your card so watch your card history. For example, you buy 20$ you get 22$ of credit so 2$ for free. But once you swipe for that first game. They will take it back. When we swiped for a 4$ game, they took 4$ plus 2$. We should have paid attention a little closer. Overall, this is a good place for a little entertaining but be prepared to drop some $$$$.

We recently gone and they renovated the front room looks much cleaner for sure. But feels way more empty, the games kinda suck still, restaurant staff are ehhh ok kinda rude but more like they don't wanna be there food is good except kids menu, my son got a hotdog that was shriveled up and bun was hard as if they left the bag open over night or something, asked for a new one they brought back something similar

I try to visit the drive in at least once every year. I will go more depending on my schedule and…read morethe movies showing. 5his was the perfect night to go . There was a beautiful sunset. The parking lot was sparsely filled with vehicles. Children playing on the swings. Once it got dark the movies begin. Brings back memories of my childhood. They even had a cartoon playing before the movies. I was able to bring my own food and drinks.

They have a playground for kids to play on before the movie starts which is great so the kids before the movie can let out some energy before the movie starts. There was plenty of room for my car to park and they had a separate screen that showed another movie all together. The concession stand had good choices (typical ballpark food) that are teams only proved which is great since I feel like movie theatres charge an arm and a leg for concessions. It's an older facility but it also feels like you're stepping back in time to appreciate a newly released movie at a drive in just like it used to be back in the 70-80s. Needless to say we had a really fun and great time and loved the fact that it was family friendly. There were some teenagers hanging in the back of the parking lot but nothing too disturbing or obnoxious at all while we were there. We definitely plan on going back!

The seats were comfortable and roomy, and the movie was really great, but we wish it was longer. The only issue was getting back down in the the accessible elevator. It was full of people with strollers and no one would make room to get my Dad in his scooter on, so we stood there for 20 minutes while elevators opened and closed in front of us until there was one empty enough to get inside. People should be more mindful... if there are eight people in an elevator and only one is pushing a stroller, the other seven people really should get off the elevator and take the stairs if they are physically able to make room for someone in a scooter or wheelchair. It was ridiculous. It was a hot day and the science center was jampacked. It was like the hunger games. LOL!

Due to this the seats didn't lean back, so they were not as comfortable as the ones further down. Also we could feel all the vibrations of the sound, which honestly I enjoyed!!! Some of the images during the movies were a little curved and distorted due to the size of the screen. But overall it was a cool experience. I would love to go back again and see one of the movies that are specifically made for the omnimax screen!
