The Lincoln Theatre is great! We travel from St. Louis to visit for Laugh's at the Lincon. Situated on Main St, near other local businesses, the Lincoln Theatre is an old school theatre that has been redone. It is nostalgic and cool but still has all the needed technology. For Laughs at the Lincoln uses the main floor theatre. Side bar with a friendly waitress, concession stand with great bites and adult slushy in different flavors! Love love the Lincoln theatre! Located downtown Belleville near the public square. It's one of the few haunted places on East main st. Most of the building has original chairs and I has 3 theaters rooms. They have the main floor where it's more open and sometimes you'd get to enjoy an organ player before the show. Their prices are still cheaper than the franchises around the areas. They have Abe's gourmet popcorn linked Nextdoor. They also sell it at the concessions. The chairs are so old they creek when you sit down. We love how they kept most of this building as original as possible. I've never felt anything bad here. A few days ago I was at the Chili cookoff with my family. I was waiting in line when I noticed a woman dropped her chili and it spilt onto the ground. Next thing I saw one of the workers with glasses came out and helped her clean it up. I've been to the theatre before and I love it but this just goes to show how polite and dedicated the employees are. The chili wasn't even by the Lincoln, it was in the street, yet one of the employees still came to help. I will forever be a returning customer to the theatre not just for the quality of the movies, but also for the quality of the service. read more

The staff were amazing and enjoyed having our children, nephews and niece there with me. We enjoyed Sonic 3 there. Prices are great and loved the small town charm! I also enjoyed how it was part of the Christmas celebration downtown. We were able to ride the holiday trolley that came through right outside of the theater for free. read more

Came in from out of town for a concert and that staff from the time of purchase till I arrived for the show were amazing. Every seat is a great seat. Lots of offerings for snacks and they even have a bar. Ample street & lot parking. In a great area offering entertainment and food for before or after the show. read more

I love the Lincoln, but I'll only see a movie if it's playing in the main theater. The two theaters upstairs are very small and not sound proof. The main theater on the other hand is perfect. I love the seating. I love the aesthetics. I love when the organ player is here. I feel like I'm seeing a movie in an old playhouse. In my opinion, the Lincoln also has the best popcorn I. Sure, the theater is old. Yes, the seats are small with not much legroom. But prices are better and crowds are smaller than at the bigger, corporate theaters. And in the end, seeing a movie at the Lincoln in Belleville is a fun experience. My wife and I brought 5 kids to see the Friday night 7PM showing of MI:Fallout this past weekend and for the 7 of us it only set us back $44. Not too bad for what turned out to be a pretty good movie. The kids had never been to the Lincoln before and weren't sure what to think when we had to go up a narrow, winding staircase to get to the theaters on the second floor. This is without a doubt the best deal in family entertainment! They offer current run movies at a discount versus what the chain theater charges ($20 for 4 tickets). The place is a 30's to 40's building, with tons of character. On Saturdays they have folks playing an old fashioned pipe organ before the movies. Upon completion of the music, the organ is lowered below stage. That alone is worth the price of admission. The workers are friendly and interactive! Not the sullen emo kids that work at chain theaters. They make fresh made popcorn on site, you can get real butter for $1 more, (well worth the price). My wife and I can see a first run movie matinee with sodas and a large popcorn for $17. The Lincoln Movie Theatre opened in 1921 and is still going strong today. It first opened as a silent movie house (an organ was added in 1927) and live venue where several famous acts (including Bettie Davis and The Marx Brothers) would one day perform. Now, its one of my favorite historical movie theatres, complete with three large screens for modern movies. The Lincoln Theatre does cater to its audience, playing mostly family friendly pictures, but will play the occasional summer blockbuster. There are not to many places like this any more. It may not meet all the modern technology that the new theaters have, but a lot of time the way it used to be is great. I grew up going to this old world movie house, back when we didn't have a real rating system for movies. There would be a matinee and then you had to leave before a movie that had more sensitive material came on. The management the night I was visiting smelled awful. The workers were eating with the management and sometimes when I came downstairs to order food, there wasn't anyone in the lobby. The theaters were dirty and there was popcorn everywhere. When I complained to the manager that night they cursed at me and told me if they didn't like what they did then I could leave. I will never come back and I will tell everyone to do the same. read more

Prices that you can't beat with a historic building to enjoy. Watched a movie with 4 family members for under $40 including concessions.

They with in the last year updated everything in the theaters. We has experienced the problems before the update and since then have had no problems. If you do see a problem, the Lincoln will give you free tickets if you wish not to stay. Recently the air conditioning broke (fixed now) and it still wasn't bad in there, but they gave everyone free drinks!! :-D can't complain there. But over all service is awesome, staff is great, and prices are amazing!! I would give this place a shot if I were you! read more

This place is awesome. $4.50 for matinees and $7 for evening shows. They also have a special on their large cup of soda. As long as you bring it back with the lid, it's only $1 for refills...that includes refills that day or a year from now. However, unless you're in the main theater, the acoustics aren't the best and the seats are very steep and close together. But you can't beat it for the price. read more

I had bought tickets ahead of time and on the day of the movie could not make it because of the weather. When i called up to the box office to see if i could get a refund, they assured me they would give me tickets for a future show. I took my nephew to see Rogue One last night and they did give us replacements tickets with no fuss. I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely be going back to this theater. I know none of the bigger theaters would have been so accommodating. read more
