I had an amazing time, and Henry was absolutely sweet. He was very reassuring of his ability to do a tattoo and also to do a couple ear piercings. The prices were absolutely reasonable, and I enjoyed having a conversation with him. It was very relaxing and I enjoyed how peaceful the atmosphere was. I will for sure be coming back for another ear piercing and definitely for future tattoos. It was very calming. He used gloves and a clean needle to do my ears (same for the tattoo). I know some people warn you on sanitation, but Henry 100% covered that. I hardly felt pain getting my ears done and after. Same for my tattoo. My tattoo came out beautifully and I was able to take a break when the pain was too much. It's so simple and he explained to me exactly how it was going to go. I asked him for his opinion on the size, and he made sure to make it the way I pictured while keeping it looking good. I will thank Henry for everything he's done when I get my next piercing. It means a lot knowing I can trust someone like him to do tattoo art and piercings.

At first I came here because I wanted to get a last minute matching tat so I messaged my friend on IG if he knew where I could get one. He said his friend worked here and could fit me in last minute so I looked up his IG, thought his tattoo designs were cool. So I sent him a message about his availability and so we came. I was surprised how funny Jesse was. Super cool guy, knows what he's doing and very quick with the drawing. He made we sure liked the drawing throughout the day and even gave it to us for a super good price! Thank you sooooooo much! I appreciate people like you because there's not a lot of tattoo artists who'll do that and know their art and time is worth much more. We gave him pieces of what we wanted and he put it together that's why. Then I wanted the orchid and Beethoven did it for me. It's my first shoulder piece in the green tank. Of course it hurt and the longest part was the placement. Their team is super small but they're all so funny that time flies. Although it was one of his first pieces to tat, it came out so great! Henry does all the piercings which is done at a certain chair in the back and Jesse and Beethoven does the tattoos. Henry does tattoos as well! I recently went for my bigger sunflower piece and I fell in love with the design. It hurtttt so bad but you know what, beauty is pain and I'm down for it! If you want to support local businesses, Henry's company has been there for idk how long but I remember seeing it for a long time and even though it's Covid season, they follow all protocols and wrap/sanitize everything. This tattoo shop is really easy going. No negative vibes. So if you'd like to get something done, I say call them, send them your ideas and get something done cause they're all really good artists! They also have IG so maybe follow them too and see what they can do for you. They also accept walk ins but if you want something done nicely, it'll be worth the wait! I'm definitely going to go back for more!

I was in the mood for some self mutilation (body modification lol) and in the area. When it comes to piercings I'm pretty planned, yet spontaneous. I know for months what and where I want to pierce, I just have no idea exactly when until the mood strikes. Well, when that day hit, I just yelped it and called. I should have known better and made an appointment but I just took a chance and asked if I could drop in like NOW. He said OK and I was there in like 5m. One thing that might be difficult is parking. They're located in a strip building and the lot and stalls are tiny. He did have a stall right in front with a cone, so I called and that was mine! Henry was very professional and clean. The shop itself looks well maintained and pretty much your average tattoo spot. I told him exactly what I wanted, asked for his opinion and within minutes he was setting up. I let him know that I have had previous piercing rejections and keloids so he suggested to keep the industrial piercing separated until fully healed to give more flexibility. Pretty excited to change those into a cute, crazy pink and blingy barbell! The tragus, known for migraine relief, was the other ear piercing I requested. Throughout my lifetime I've probably had about a dozen piercings, but only the two on my ear from when I was a baby. Body piercings are definitely an interesting way to express your style and to finally incorporate more on my ears, where its most visible, is super fun for me. But, with that being said, I had no idea what to expect for a first time cartilage piercing. He did warn me that there might be a pop? Which I wouldn't describe it as that honestly. Maybe a crunch or crack lol! The overall experience was great. Like talking story with locals while getting a professional service. I'm definitely coming back for more, but again... That'll be another random spontaneous visit. I'll just have to hope the time works in my favor!

I got a septum piercing and it was pierced too low and not angled right. The piercer didn't countdown, didn't measure, and didn't feel for the sweet spot. I had another piercer take a look at it and they confirmed that it wasn't done right. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because the piercer was nice. My sister had other piercings done here that turned out fine, so I'm not sure why my septum was messed up.

So the first time I went here I just got a small black heart done on my face and I'm dark skinned so I was very impress by how my girl hooked it up than the next day I came back and had Henry so my nipple piercings and chest tattoo. Both the tattoo artist are fast as hell! My face one took like 5-10 mins and my chest was like 20 mins. Piercings were about 5. Now mins you my pain tolerance is high so I was flinching and stuff but honestly just relax the people here are fast as hell and check up on you during all of it.

Can I give 10 stars?!? I walked in on Sunday 12/15 around 2ish and had to wait a little bit cuz my tattoo artist, Henry, (please I hope I think I'm right but forgive me because I'm awful with names) was finishing a tattoo for someone else. I got my first tatt. It's simple but it looks SO GOOD. I was going in to maybe get a piercing but I felt so safe and comfortable that I decided to go for it. I wrote patience in my own handwriting and drew a heart and my artist () was able to get it on my wrist in my own handwriting. It cost $60... but PSA peeps, tip your artist. I am so happy. I will definitely be back Go here. Seriously. Hella worth it. Safe, clean, and comfortable. And to anyone that hasn't gotten a tatt, it doesn't hurt that bad just be relaxed and communicate with your artist. Mahalo

After thinking over a million times of deciding who was going to do my boyfriends FIRST tattoo, we came to a decision of just going to the nearest shop near us which ended up being 'The Edge', right down the road from where we live in waipahu. At first, my boyfriend was nervous but we walked right in and Henry, the owner, assisted us so fast! We began to show him what we wanted and he showed us examples following with a sketch design. The ending result came out how my boyfriend wanted and none the less, he was satisfied! (Pictured) I also came here for a nose piercing earlier in the year and it was also a great experience. Always wanted to get my septum pierced but was always too scared but last night I made an impulse decision to get it done!! Henry has done my nostril nose piercing so it's not my first time seeing him. Called the shop at about 6:50pm & asked if I can walk-in to get the piercing & they said I could come in as long as before 7:30!! Got there around 7ish and everything went smoothly, Henry was informative about how the piercing will be done along with aftercare instructions. He was quick with getting the needle through and that was the only time I felt any pain. No pain when he was putting tue actually septum ring on, which was a f'ing breeze!!! I love it so much! read more

Henry has the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! As an emergency my Tragus earring came out and I could not get it back in! It was horrific and painful as f**k!!! There was no way I could do this myself! As I called The Edge and asked if someone could help me place the earrings back in, he was very welcoming and said sure come by and I'll help you! He helped me in a second! He took the time out to put them back in shoe quickly! I don't know how he did it but he did! He must have magic fingers lol! I'd definitely refer him to anyone who wants to do ear piercings! His shop is clean and he provided me excellent customer service! read more

Love it! Called around 6 hoping to get in and was told he was thinking about leaving but he'll wait just for me. Tried to rush just so I don't keep him waiting too long. Got there in 15 mins from waianae and was in and out within 5! Henry explained everything, made chats and let me pick what size diamonds I wanted. Even helped me put my earring in that I bought. I got my nose pierced here back at the end of July (it was my first time doing anything like this besides my ears) lol, but my friend reccommended this shop since that's where she got hers. We just walked in and within 5-10 minutes of filling out forms and waiting I was able to do it. The guy who did it (forgive me, didn't get a name) was super quick, very knowledgable, and informative upon taking care of the piercing as well as where I should get it since he mentioned girls normally get the nose stud on the left side to help with headaches/PMS'ng etc. I didn't realize how much it would hurt even though I prepared myself but pain went away within 30 minutes which was most of our drive home. I would highly reccommend coming here especially for any first timers who are nervous like I was. The only con in my opinion was the parking lot being a bit tight as well as being able to find the shop; it was difficult using google maps so definitely keep your eyes peeled. A pro of mine was the cost/pricing as it was reasonable and what seemed to be cheaper than a lot of other places. Thank you guys so much for a great experience! read more

Had a great experience here! I got my nipples pierced here yesterday. Staff was friendly and the guy that did my piercing made me feel comfortable! He did a great job, it all went smoothly and it turned out nice! Gave me aftercare tips which I appreciate. The price was fair as well, $70 total for both nipples. I would go here again! read more

My daughter decided that she wanted to get her an industrial piercing for her birthday. Called ahead to see if we needed to schedule an appointment was told I could bring her in anytime today before 8. Well we ended up showing up at the shop a little after 2 to find the shop closed with the close sign saying we'll be back at 3:15 p.m. Okay so we figured let's hangout until they open. While we waited we decided to checkout a boba shop close by. Come 3:15 p.m. we're still waiting no one shows. Okay figured let me call again and ask why did they say I could bring my daughter in ANYTIME before 8 to come to find the shop closed. You figured they could've called me back and tell me they were going to close earlier than expected since the 1st time I called no one answered but to get a call back from the shop because it showed my number as a miss call so therefore they had my number to at least call to make sure I didn't come to the shop since they were closing. Anyhow, we took our business elsewhere and found another place that did her piercings. I wouldn't waste my time going here. read more

Went there yesterday to have a nose piercing done for my daughter and niece The guy was nice and took us right away, he did have a guy waiting to get a tattoo done. So I would call before just to make sure they are available and not busy doing a tattoo as only had the one guy yesterday. Pricing was pretty reasonable, he only had studs no ring piercing. read more

I went and I got my first tattoo by Henry. I also got my belly pierced here! Henry was so nice and I am afraid of needles but my first tattoo felt really good and I plan on going again today to get more!!! He was really nice and helped me create a beautiful yet simple design and I am so going to him for any tattoos I get in the future because I feel safe, respected, and I know that he will do an amazing job! There also was no wait, he took me in right away and helped me out. I highly recommend coming here and having Henry help you out! I came here a couple months ago with two of my friends when we decided to get piercings randomly one day. It wasn't busy at all and he was really quick to get all of us set up with signing the waivers and such (even told my friend that they couldn't take his debit card but was cool to direct him to an ATM at the gas station behind the shop). He pierced us one at a time but he let us stay in the room to watch each other, lol. Starter jewelry was included and I think my friend and I each paid $25 or $30 for our rook and helix piercing and my other friend paid $50 for both of his lobes, which is pretty affordable if you ask me. They play good music in here too. Hoping to return for more piercings. read more

Walked in today to get a nose piercing, Henry introduced himself and asked me what I would like to do today. I told him I wanted to get my nose pierced. He made me sign a waiver form and got the room ready. Didn't wait long till he called me in, room & shop is very clean, and Henry is very informative, in how he's going to do the piercing procedure. About a month ago I came here to get a little memorial tattoo done. I was told that the shop minimum was $60 no matter the size, which is a pretty decent price. The guy who did my tattoo was very good.They accepet walk ins or if you prefer you can call to make an appointment. The only con about this place is the parking. Its on a busy street and I believe its only street parking. read more

All of their jewelry was stored in plastic containers where the employees were just digging through, without gloves (SO unsanitary), to find the jewelry that the customers wanted. I wanted titanium flat backs because I'm allergic to sterling silver and I don't heal well if it is pierced with steel. The girl who pierced me looked through all the containers before finding 3 gold colored titanium flat backs with silver colored titanium ball toppers. The piercing process started out okay, she cleaned off the area, although not very thoroughly, and marked where she was going to pierce and let me see before she started the process. I don't think they sterilized the jewelry before they pierced me either, even though different, ungloved, employees were digging around in the jewelry boxes just before. She opened a new needle and started on my lobes, these were pretty smooth. The biggest issue came when she started on my mid helix. Told me take a deep breath and she pushed the needle through, then went to guide the jewelry in, but could only get it HALFWAY. I heard her whisper "oh shoot" under her breath before proceeding to try multiple times to push the jewelry all the way through. She asked the other guy, Jay, for help and they both stood there pushing my ear around for a solid 3 minutes before the jewelry was fully through. It was a while before the piercing was done, I could feel the blood on my ear slipping around while he essentially tried to repierce it with the jewelry. Neither of them used a clamp, or even a tube to catch the needle as it went through to the other side, just used their hands which I could feel were slipping off my ear. To top it all off, my mom told me after that they used the same needle for all three of my piercings, super unsanitary! I've gotten thick cartilage piercings done before this (rook, nostril, helix) and I have NEVER had an experience like this. I will not be coming back here, not even for my jewelry changes. The only good thing I would say about this experience was that the lady at the front was polite and friendly, and the girl who pierced me was also nice, I just wish the process of the actual piercing was a bit cleaner and smoother. I hope nobody else has an experience like this, and I hope my piercings don't get infected.

You can tell they're experienced. Location is inside the building across of Waipahu Festival Market ( the green building ). Many parking stalls, don't have to worry about that AND they are located on the right side going up the stairs.

Seemed like I was a nuisance even thought there was no line behind me. Went back a day later because the size was wrong. I knew it was all sales final but I went asking nicely if she minded exchanging for the right size. I"No, YOU sized it". Long story short I told you "you got some attitude" if she had responded differently I would've been okay with it.

I apologized and she "no worries, that's what we do" and when I explained to her my only concern was really to get the exact replica of the hibiscus on there, she can design it the way wants and what looks good to her, leaving it all to her. It took only 1.5 hours to do mine, she was fast, very efficient and sweet! She did an amazing job for my first what I consider a "big" piece on me. . Definitely going back and can't wait! I jumped on yelp and put my feelers out and yelp actually sent messages to several shops for me. Aloha Tattoo responded within just a couple minutes. I walked in and Josh knew who I was because the owner called him and prepped him for what I wanted. Josh quickly got to work on my design. We discussed some color and we were off to the races. Josh was quick, efficient, and his line work is great. If you're visiting the island, Aloha Tattoo isn't in the tourist area but if you're military or live near Schofield then they are in your back yard. I'll be back! Mahalo!!

My girlfriend had a bad experience with Ariel. @hellafreshhawaii My girlfriend had an appointment with her, she shows up at the shop and Ariel didn't even show up or did not acknowledge that she will not make it until a hour after. We were okay with that and didn't mind to reschedule. So the day of reschedule day my girlfriend was unsure if she will make it on time, she messaged Ariel to let her know she will be an hour late. Ariel responded yes that's fine. Now my girlfriend is rushing to leave her job, go home and get ready she realizes after getting ready she can show up close to the original time scheduled. But because they agreed that she will be an hour late, my girlfriend showed up to the shop early but left to eat and come back. Meanwhile Ariel is messaging her but my girlfriend did not respond right away so I guess that made Ariel assume that my girlfriend will not show up at all and was thinking she wants to reschedule entirely. So Ariel practically tells her I was confuse on your appointment so let's reschedule this will be the second time she will not show up to an appointment. So unfortunately my girlfriend just rather go to someone else. Once she told her you know what just cancel the appointment. Ariel just doesn't care and doesn't respond. So now our $325 deposit is gone, what a waste of time and money. I had never had an experience with an any tattoo artist , it's very unprofessional and I hope they don't do it to another because losing a deposit will be unfortunate. Ariel made my girlfriend feel like she didn't want to do the tattoo. As a tattoo artist wouldn't you want your client to feel welcomed and acknowledge. Wouldn't you want to satisfy your client after not showing up the first time? Looks like you don't care. Now we are going to take our money and take it to someone that really cares about there customers cause this place makes you feel like they want your deposit and that's it.
