I took away a star because the balls kept losing air and needed to be refilled after games. The guys said they get new balls annually, so some of them were showing age I guess. It was a wonderful slice of nature, which looked and felt a lot more remote than It was (there was a bit of highway noise on the lower half of the river). The equipment was in great shape, and the staff helpful and friendly. We went close to high tide, and were able to make it about a mile and a half before the river became too shallow. The staff member said one could do that in about 45 minutes, but with kids, an hour was more reasonable. The two and a half hour rental was a perfect amount of time, as that allowed us to proceed leisurely, explore some of the little nooks on the edge of the river, and take time for the all important snack break. All in all this was a wonderful experience, and we all can't wait to do it again.

I have been on the Milford Pedal Cruise before and both are just a super fun way to get together with a group of 22 of your friends and have a great time on the water. Here are some things you'll need to know: The Pier Pressure II is Stamford's only pedal powered party boat operated on Stamford Harbor and goes out into the Long Island Sound. It's a 90 minute excursion that is perfect for corporate outings and team building, as well as office, bachelorette, family, friends and birthday celebrations. It fits 26 guests at 12 pedaling stations & benches, a bar table, coolers, has a bluetooth stereo and also a bathroom. Private Cruises begin at $749 and Public Cruises are sold by the ticket, starting at $55, and seat up to 22 passengers. Guests do tip the Captain & First Mate since they rely on it to pay their bills. Suggested tip for Private Cruises: $200-300 and $10-15 per person for Group Cruises. BYOB! Drinks - beer, wine, hard seltzers, ciders, canned cocktails and the like are suggested. Please avoid bringing glass on board. Where Darien Beachgoing Gets Practical…read more Pear Tree Point is the more, shall we say, functional, of the two Darien public beaches. Weed Beach, located across a bay from Stamford, has something of a mystical quality to it. It is where high schoolers go in the summertime to smoke out (yes, the name is a coincidence), where the passionate but slightly off-tune sounds of local bands fill humid night air. Weed Beach has woodlands to wander through, a hidden playground through a clearing of trees, paddle tennis courts that I think only ghosts use, and lots and lots of weeds, making every step into the water squishy and unsure. But Pear Tree Point is the beach where you get things done. It's got boat docks attached, so it's the starting point for many a "booze cruise", a favorite pasttime of the Darienite. Families love Pear Tree Point, probably because it's shaped in such a way that it's easy for the kids to stay in view; there's nowhere to disappear to. So children go about producing their childlike things: sandcastles, trenches for the water to flow through, holes to bury themselves in. Pear Tree Point has a gazebo at its center, perched on top of rocks. It's perfect for eating a hamburger and fries from the concession stand during the day, and for making out at night. Pear Tree Point is situated along Long Neck Point, location of some of the fanciest houses in this very, very fancy part of the world. If you're the kind of person who likes to gawk at luxurious homes a la Newport, Rhode Island, then it's worth a slow drive down Long Neck Point road until you get to the end, which is a former girls' school now converted, I think, into residences. The atmosphere is rarefied, elegant, and oh-so-preppy. Pear Tree Point, like all the beaches in southern Fairfield County, has a kind of rough sand, and the water's generally cold. Tahiti it is not. The sun, like so many phenomena in the New York area, is either too dim or too scorching. It takes a certain toughness to enjoy beachgoing in the northeastern part of the United States. But after a day being there, you feel as if you have accompilshed something, and accomplishment, after all, is the highest personal value among most Darienites who bring the never-stop-achieving ethos of New York City back to their town.

While it's a nice enough spot and the setting is scenic, the pictures floating around don't quite tell the full story. Yes, it's spring-fed and chemical-free, which gives it more of a forest pond feel than a traditional pool. That might be a plus for some people, but there are downsides. The water feels heavier than a normal pool, and there's no true shallow end--so treading water for long stretches can get tiring. If you go, I'd honestly recommend bringing a float to hang out more comfortably in the water. The facilities are basic. There are very few pool chairs--mostly just park benches scattered around a small paved deck. Seating is limited, and it was hard to find a place to set up. I'd recommend bringing your own beach chair if you have one. There are plenty of picnic tables farther back from the pool, which I assume is their way of keeping food out of the swim area. We arrived around 3 PM and that timing was probably my biggest gripe. The parking lot was full, so we had to find a random lot down the road and then walk back and hunt for the entrance. Not the easiest arrival. The $20 day pass would be fine if the setup matched the price, but for what it is, it felt a little steep. Also worth noting--cell service is spotty, and while they say there's Wi-Fi, it didn't work well for us. Overall, it's not a bad experience, but it didn't quite live up to the online buzz. If you go in with the right expectations (and a float, a chair, and some patience), you'll probably enjoy it more than we did.

I am writing to formally raise concern regarding a Nightmare Cirque performance I attended with my…read morefamily. The show contained explicit sexual content and adult-themed material that was inappropriate for the audience present and not consistent with what was advertised. During the performance, a scene involving a Beetlejuice character included sexually explicit behavior on stage. This included a male performer introducing a prop male dildo/penis during the act. Audience members were also directly engaged in portions of the performance, with male audience members being specifically targeted for participation. This created an environment that I and others experienced as uncomfortable and inappropriate, with personal boundaries being crossed. This was more about sexual orientation agenda pushing homosexuality. Asking male audience who has a big penis. Humping another man from behind bending him over. Sexual harassment at an all time high. Extremely disturbing and disgusting. There was no clear warning in the advertising or event policies indicating that explicit sexual content or sexualized audience interaction would be part of the show. Families were present, including children(which should not have had entry access), which made the content especially unsuitable for the setting. As a result, my family and I felt misled and left the performance early. We also requested a refund but were not able to reach the appropriate decision maker at the time. Overall, the experience involved content and conduct that we considered inappropriate for a public performance and resulted in emotional distress.Mental nightmare. I am requesting a formal review of this matter and clearer content warnings for future performance. Rated R sex store production is what customers unwilling paid for. ATL GA
