We came here for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. It wasn't busy, but it wasn't dead. Every staff person we saw was smiling and friendly. The ambiance is relaxed and cheery. Both of us really enjoyed our meals and wished we had found this place earlier on our trip - we'd certainly come back!

My favorite place for breakfast! The staff is always so friendly and the food is delicious! My go-to is the meat lovers skillet with egg whites and a side of pancakes. Super yummy and their pancakes are delicious!! Cannot forget a side of their freshly made orange juice to top it off. Definitely recommend!!

We had an amazing experience from start to finish. Even though Eggbreak was packed when we arrived around 11 a.m. on a Saturday, we were still greeted immediately and seated at a booth. Our waitress had the drinks we ordered at our table in a jiffy, and our food came out quite quickly. The Classic Benedict with hashbrowns and the California Skillet were both filling and perfectly cooked, from the poached/over easy eggs, to the hollandaise, to the hashbrowns and the veggies. We were in brunch Heaven!!! The next time you're in the area and going out for breakfast or lunch, head to The Eggbreak Cafe!!!

So I found this place on Yelp! Thanks fellow Yelpers! We woke up hungry for breakfast and decided to venture out in 20 degree weather. It was worth the effort. Simple dinner off a busy road. Parking lot was packed. Got in and sat within 10 min tops. Service was fast and friendly and efficient. Good came out hot and exactly as ordered. Homemade jam for my toast. Just a really good meal and we were delighted. Will come back for sure. Husband started eating too fast so eggs Benedict's not pictured but he said it was good.

I took my dad here for breakfast. We arrived at 7 am on a Saturday. When we left at 7:45 it wasn't very busy with about 6 other tables being occupied. I know it get pretty busy after that time. The service was attentive and prompt. I had the spinach mushroom cheddar omelet with hash browns and toast. It was very good. My dad enjoyed his omelet and crispy hash browns. Good coffee. I also had the fresh squeezed orange juice. The machine is right in the dining room. Clean modern interior. The bathroom is also bright, clean, and modern. Pay at the counter. Apple Pay accepted. They take your order with an iPad, with is efficient and accurate. As a side note, the pies looks pretty tasty!

    This guy liked it here!

Quick stop on way to Minneapolis from Milwaukee. Food was well prepared and tasty. The waitress was extremely friendly. Best part was the quickness of the service. It allowed us to get right back on the road. Definitely recommend!

Then the portion sizes were fantastic everything always taste good. If you wanted value this was a place for you and your family....Now portion sizes much smaller and the prices have gone up past what it is worth. Tonight when we ordered...our salads came out first as always, we had just dressed our salads and the main entree was already at the table. When My family goes out to eat we would like to eat our salads then have the main come not at the same time. My husband had Beef and Gravy one of his favorites and the beef looked to uniform close to what a steakum looks like. Not much gravy and if he asked for some extra he would have been charged. I had the chicken strips and fries...the fries had a fishy taste like the oil was not changed. When we paid the bill I did complain to the owner/manager about what was wrong. I was told with all the people here you are the only one to complain. This restaurant in the the beginning there was always a waiting list, on a Friday and Saturday night. Tonight this restaurant was not even half full.

It's a nice spot, with a large windowed storefront and inviting signage. Inside is a large open area with the order counter toward the rear. An old brick wall, metal lighting fixtures, and a tin ceiling give it a vintage vibe. There are café tables with metal chairs for small groups. The noise level is reasonable, and it's easy to have a conversation. They have an extensive coffee menu, including tea lattes. But the one thing that really stood out was the bakery selection. They have items called Cornetto, which look like croissants. I was told they're similar and used in similar ways (fillings, glazes, etc.). We ended up getting a coffee, a London Fog Tea Latte (little lavender, little vanilla, extra foam), a Custard Danish, and an Apple Almond Scone. It didn't take long to get our order, and everything was amazingly good. The London Fog was made with loose-leaf tea and steeped well. The pastries were fresh, large, and very yummy. Everything was also very reasonably priced (you spend way more than this in most places -- and that's not something I usually fixate on). Excellent experience. Friendly service, excellent food and drinks, great value, and a warm atmosphere. If I could make one suggestion, it would be the metal chairs -- I just didn't find them very comfortable. Definitely on the "come back to" list!

We hopped in the car and headed out. I wasn't sure what to expect from The Nostalgic Bean since I was going into this trip without much of a plan besides a few odds and ends. But what a surprise this place is. It's in a cute little building with some sweet snail art on the side. Inside is quaint and cozy. The staff was super friendly while we did some do-si-do with other patrons of the bakery. Inside is small and due to the layout, it can get a bit crowded if they are busy at all. Normally this is a hassle but something about this place makes it fun. I got my usual americano and a corn jalapeno quiche. With how busy it was, the food and coffee didn't take much time to come out and the staff, again, was super friendly and helpful. I wanted a specific t-shirt and while they didn't have it on their merch shelf, the young lady took the time to locate one in their back stock area. Keep your eye peeled for me wearing it in future reviews :). The americano was pretty good, just a bit below the bitter level I like but it made drinking it a breeze. The quiche was really good, too. I don't think I've ever had one before this and I ended up getting it the next day when we came back with Matt. The second time we came back, we had the same level of friendliness and same awesome deliciousness. All their baked goods looked amazing and both Tim and Matt were in love with the place, too. Tim dabbled in their baked goods but I don't remember all that he got. Matt got a coffee and a small thing to eat as well. The Nostalgic Bean has become a staple for us when we visit Eau Claire. I feel like we will hit it up every time we visit Tim because we all just fell in love with the place. Just look at their baked goods online and you'll understand just how sweet this place is.
