Cute new place! Bobbie Sur's Roadhouse has a fun vibe, friendly staff and decent food. Headed out to Lowell because I had a free evening and met my friend to try this diner. Immediately noticed and enjoyed the life size cut out of Hulk Hogan and knew this would be a good fit. We were greeted by a waitress and someone else shadowing her. They brought some fun spicy popcorn designed to make you want a beer. I ordered a Harmony Brewing Company Draft beer and was brought the wrong one, oops! They quickly fixed it. Their pint glasses are so cool, because when you reach the end it has a funny picture at the bottom. Please see picture for reference. We chose the deviled eggs for an appetizer. They were good, but cold. I'm sorry, but no one's deviled egg recipe compares to Low Country Carolina Restaurant in my opinion. Plus at $5 for their happy hour special as opposed to $12 at this establishment... it kinda felt pricey and lacking. Originally, we ordered the brisket sandwich to split. There was another big table of people the waitress was also serving. Turns out 20 minutes or so later she went to put in our order and they were out of brisket! She was apologetic and offered to buy us dinner. We split the chicken sandwich instead and got some onion rings with it. The chicken sandwich was really good; juicy, crispy, no complaints. I was full after eating half and splitting the onion rings with my friend. Onion rings were okay, but didn't appear to be homemade. We appreciated the ranch to dip it in. Before leaving we took our photo next to the cute garden wall with a shiny neon sign that read "Making Pour Decisions!" So punny!! I don't live around the corner, so I probably won't be back anytime soon, but the food is good. We appreciate the servers remedied any of the errors graciously and felt like we were treated with respect. This place is a great diner themed bar with a relaxed vibe. The atmosphere here is warm and casualwith elements of Rustic and fun. The orange-ish walls give it a slight Southwestern feel. I ordered their Deviled Eggs ($14) as an appetizer. This is a Sweet and spicy stuffed egg, candied cajun thick cut bacon, charred poblano pepper garnish. These are good, but the taste aren't fully complimentary. The bacon was a little tough, however they are overall enjoyable. I was going to have their Bbq Bolognese for my entree, however they changed their menu sometime in the past, but didn't update their websites dinner menu! I got their Smoked Meat Trio ($32) instead. This has Ribs, Brisket, and Turkey. Along with Mac n Cheese and a veggie plus some Cornbread. This was a massively disappointing meal. The ribs were not tender at all, thankfully they were tough, just not tender. They tasted okay, very average at best. The brisket on the other hand was tough and not very tasty at all, definitely below average. The turkey was my favorite and the only thing I fully ate, however their was something not right. Is it frozen turkey or another thing, not sure. The bbq sauce on the meats was also okay, but nothing I would order. The mac n cheese was good. It actually tasted unique and is something I would order again. The cornbread was my favorite thing, not even colse to the best I've had, but very good. The service now was fantastic. Very friendly and everyone seems happy. Overall a 3 star review. Would I return? No, the fact they had Deviled eggs brought me in. However nothing I had makes 30 minutes travel time worth it. I would definitely skip the smoked meats! The popcorn you get when you're sat is highly enjoyable though. read more

This came up when I searched for breakfast spots on our way home from Grand Rapids. It's a small restaurant that looks mostly like a bar, but the breakfast was good. They have a limited selection for breakfast but they are unique and I like that. The waitress was friendly and helpful and kept an eye on us. My friend got the biscuits and gravy and it came with eggs. I got the avocado toast and it had diced tomatoes, onions and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese It came with diced potatoes that were a bit soggy but actually really good. read more

If you have not been to Bobbie Sue's Roadhouse yet, you are missing out. Went there tonight for the 4th time to celebrate a birthday intending in having the ribs but when our waitress told us the Friday special was the brisket that just came out of the smoker, baked potatoes, green beans and Chile slaw.... We were all in.... The best best brisket EVER.. coleslaw was excellent, green beans of course the bomb. We do not regret not getting the ribs.... So I'm Fridays head to BSR and have an excellent brisket dinner, you will not be disappointed. Oh and try the Lava Cake.... read more

We did a pick up order but the short time I was in the restaurant the staff was very kind and the building looked newly renovated and clean. We loved the fries and the chips! The Mac and cheese balls were pretty good, you could tell they were homemade but they were definitely different from what we were expecting. I ordered the chicken sandwich and thought it had great flavors but the breading seemed a little Burt or maybe old oil? My boyfriend got the turkey club and he said it was okay but definitely not something to run home about. What a surprising little gem in Lowell Michigan. We stopped for brunch and were impressed today the least. Great Bloody Mary, seasonal specials, and homemade food. They use high quality ingredients, don't rely on premade food, and had great flavor combinations. read more

I've been to Bobbie Sue's twice now. The first time the food and service were good. The server even gave us a sample of the chip dip. This time the food was good. I liked my smoked chicken salad sandwich and the side salad had plenty of vegetables and the blue cheese dressing was very good. However, I will think twice about going back because our server was not very friendly, did not come back to check to see how our food was, although she did bring me a refill of my pop. In addition, we sat quite a while when we were finished, and I finally went and stood near her as she was talking to a friend and had to wait a bit till she looked at me so I could ask for a box and our checks. I like to go to a place where my patronage is appreciated and we did not feel that was the case today. Hopefully, our server was just having a tough day. read more

Food was dry and hard to eat. I usually always finish my food, even if its not the greatest. This was borderline not edible. It tasted like the food was made earlier in the day and they microwaved it to serve it to me. The Turkey was beyond dry and the ribs were like rubber. I could barely bite them off the bone. Took me awhile to really enter this review but needs to be said. Goes back to visit from January 11 2025. Only 2 of us for an early dinner around 4:30 pm. Place was not busy but was active. First dish. BSR fried chicken coating was way over cooked, chicken extremely dry. Second meal was a beef tip end dish which I no longer see on the menu which is a good thing. Other issue is with owner, although wait staff is pleasant found it odd that the owner presumably does not greet his guest but instead spends his time behind thale bar or at the bar chatting with buddies he knows instead of greeting and talking with other diners. All in all will not be back. My first review of this place is also posted and was quite glowing but second visit changed my mind completely. This was our first time and what a find! They opened in October 2024 and it's smooth sailing. Great food, great service, great atmosphere! Everything is done on site, from the smoked meats to the Eggs Benedict with BBQ pulled pork and it's awesome. My wife's brisket burger was cooked the way she ordered it! Can you imagine getting a burger THE WAY YOU ORDERED IT! If you're anywhere near Lowell MI you need to stop in and let Tiffany & Tony take care of you. Well done! read more

The food here is great, the service is great. The vibe is unexpectedly very welcoming. The outside of the building isn't really an indication of how nice the inside really is. I recommend if you are looking for a place with quality simple food and tasty drinks. read more

The vibe here is great. We have been here twice, Elizabeth was our server both times. She is amazing! So personable, attentive, and kind. She also helped us come up with a Fanta/Jameson drink, which my boyfriend loves. Definitely makes the experience stand out. Bobby Sues husband, is also so kind and attentive. Their popcorn seasoning is amazing, they need to start selling it! We would buy it weekly lol. I got the brisket dip sandwich, which was delicious!! My boyfriend got the pork chop, it was tender and the sauce was great!! We have loved coming here, and will be back!! read more

I typically only leave negative reviews for places i have a bad experience in, but that is not the case this time. My wife, our two older sons, one of their girlfriends, and I tried BSR for the first time tonight. We had a blast! The servers were an absolute delight. Our drinks were perfect. Every dish we tried was fantastic. And the music was the cherry on top. Looks like we found our new favorite place. read more
