Large Iced Maple Latte w/ Oat Milk
    Talulah S.

*Note: they advertise that if you leave them a review you can receive 15% off which made me decide to write this, but all opinions are honest and my own (& my purchase today was not discounted) :) Found this place when searching for a maple latte! I got the large iced maple latte w/ oat milk. They don't carry soy milk, but have almond and oat as well as regular milks. The latte was a little sweet for me but still yummy, espresso was smooth & rich. Overall it scratched my maple itch :) I paid $8.51 + $1 tip. A bit expensive, but on par with similar coffee shops in the area. The oat milk was an up charge (also common), so you could probably cut costs there w/ regular milk. To their credit, their cup sizes for both hot and iced were larger than their competitors. They also have a selection of pastries. I noticed a couple of them (bear & raspberry financiers, muffins, and maybe a couple of the croissants too), were the same that Plantshed offers, so they must share suppliers. The barista was very warm and friendly. The space was small, but inviting. I had a little dog with me, and they didn't seem to mind. Though we didn't stay, so maybe it would've been different in that case. (Shop is right next to Wash Sq. Park - convenient for a nice stroll if you don't plan on staying!)

I enjoyed Saltwater! Right off the West 4th stop on Waverly. One barista at 12pm on a Thursday. Was meeting a friend here for some conversation. My $5.44 hot latte was great! Haven't had one in a while and it was divine. Missed tasting espresso. It was quiet and had some seating which we were looking for. I'd say this cafe is more for doing quick work or a quick meeting. But they have wifi and some outlets. Only thing is...no restroom so a star is taken off.

Literally so obsessed with them! Coffee here has a spirit I haven't felt in quite a while! The small cold brew 12 oz is $4. Unfortunately, oat milk is extra $0.75. Their ice is minimal which I also like. Barista was nice! Students and teachers get 15% off so mega sweet. Would definitely come back and make them a regular place for me to go.

I asked for light ice and the girl proceeded to fill up my whole cup with ice...I think she forgot..anyways a cafe super close to washing square park in newyork, it was aesthetic and cute but I personally wouldn't come back. Everything was super mediocre. My friend got another vanilla latte in soho an hour later and it much better than the one from this place. P.S you can really taste the coffee in the vanilla latte , it's strong I got a turmeric ginger matcha and...I don't think it should be a combo...just gives a weird spicy aftertaste ....

We were looking for some coffee in the Washington park area and happened to stumble across this cute coffee shop. Apparently they opened pretty recently and the staff are super friendly! Definitely try the chagaccino if you get the chance!! (Mushroom and coffee -- sounds weird but trust me, it's tasty!) This was the first cafe I've seen that caries it here in NYC. They also have some pastries inside and other interesting selection of drinks including golden matcha (turmeric) and blue matcha (spirulina)!

    Matcha Latte

Very good matcha, very vibrant atmosphere and the barista is nice. Service was top notch.

Usually like this place but a small matcha is listed as $5.50 in the store but is actually $6.75 and charged $1.25 for a dollop of honey which is crazy.

The barista working this morning was super friendly and made me a pour over because their drip coffee was still brewing. My pour over was great, not too strong but still super smooth and flavorful. As a coffee snob who appreciates interior design, I'd say Saltwater is approved! As a vegan I love that they have non-dairy milk - oat milk is my favorite in coffee! I'll definitely be coming back to try the fancy lattes and maybe even a chagaccino! They also have canned iced Saltwater coffee so I look forward to trying their cold brew when it warms up.

    Iced vanilla Latte

Okay coffee. I think I would go somewhere else if I could choose again. Barista was a little rude when I asked her about the sign on the register that says "write a review and get 15% off" ... we found out that she doesn't think they do that anymore.

This coffee is pretty good. Nothing memorable but good. They have a bit of indoor seating, but they are close to the park, which I like.

Good coffee and nice baristas, not that much seating though and a bit small inside. Go here if you're in the area!!

On many lists, it was number one, so I had to give it a try. I went out of my way to walk over to grab a cookie. You can tell that many others had probably read the same list as me as there was a decent line going out the door, but it moved quickly and wasn't a deterrent. My honest review, not my favorite cookie! It leaned a little too dry and crisp and didn't have enough of that soft gooey-ness for me. Just not my preferred style! They weren't bad, but no where near my favorite. It is fun that they have a few different flavors though including the Korn cookie!

The Jeju Green Tangerine Matcha honestly just tastes like a tangerine selter drink but in the best way, because I don't typically enjoy seltzer or carbonated beverages. I really enjoy the flavor and the carbonation isn't too strong, probably because I brought it home to drink. I don't really taste the matcha but I would definitely still order this again. 2. Matcha Einspanner. This is my first time having an Einspanner so I have no idea what I was expecting but this is DELICIOUS. It's so silky and smooth and the TASTE is just right up my alley. The matcha is light but you can still taste it. Absolutely, would drink this all the time if I could. 3. Purple Sweet Potato Latte. This. This. Omg, why haven't I tried this sooner?! The first sip and initial taste, I almost tasted nothing, just milk. And then all of a sudden, there's an explosion of flavor in your mouth. As a sweet potato lover, I was in heaven. I have absolutely no words for this drink, just try it. 100/10 recommend. This is probably my favorite one out of the 3 that I bought. I went around ... 2:45PM on a Friday and most of the seats were taken, if I remember correctly. There were a decent amount of seats and the space was decent. I liked the minimal aesthetic they had for the design of the interior. Not to forget, the staff at the register was absolutely wonderful, she answered all my questions, she's so sweet. I think I'm disappointed that I haven't tried this place sooner. Y'all get out of your comfort zone and try the Purple Sweet Potato Latte !! Or if not, just try this place out. I will definitely be recommending the Purple Sweet Potato Latte to all my family and friends.

While it was a fun and unique drink, I probably should have opted for something else. The topping was literally like actual tiramisu rather than just tiramisu flavoring, and it felt like there was more ice and tiramisu than latte. Personally, I would have preferred more of the tiramisu flavor without the full tiramisu texture mixed into the drink. That said, it was an interesting concept and I'm glad I tried it. I'd definitely be open to coming back and trying another latte on a future visit.

I probably never leave reviews in general, especially negative ones, but this experience was so…read moreegregious that I honestly felt like I had to say something. I've worked in restaurants and bars long enough to understand that staff drinking happens, but this was on another level entirely. I came in with a group of friends and one of the bartenders, Will, was so visibly drunk that it made the entire experience uncomfortable. Slurred speech, wobbling behind the bar, taking orders while chewing food with his mouth open -- it was honestly embarrassing to watch. He looked like he absolutely did not want to be there. At one point, my group had been trying to get his attention for another round for quite a while while he stood around talking with coworkers. We then watched staff take a shot together, and when he finally came over he burped mid-conversation and literally had whatever he had just been drinking dribbling down his neckbeard. That was the moment where the whole thing went from unprofessional to just gross. What made it worse was that it didn't seem isolated to one employee. Throughout the night we watched staff openly taking shots and drinking behind the bar like it was a house party instead of a business. There's a difference between bar culture and complete lack of professionalism, and this crossed that line hard. One of the friends I was with actually frequents the DUMBO location and said that the last time she was there, the same bartender also seemed intoxicated, which makes this feel less like a bad night and more like an ongoing issue. The DUMBO location itself is in an amazing spot, which makes it even more disappointing. But ownership seriously needs to get control of what's going on there before someone gets hurt or the place develops a reputation for having drunk staff on the clock. Unfortunately, the experience was uncomfortable enough that my girlfriends and I won't be coming back. I genuinely hope the employee mentioned gets help if this is a regular thing, because nobody should be working service in that condition.
