    Breakfast Burrito

a really good breakfast burrito but best damn breakfast burrito is still my favorite. Also took kind of a while to make and there's no seating

There was a cute chocolate thc popup going on which made it so crowded but the matcha latte tasted only like milk, but we enjoyed the seasonal cinnamon honey latte.

What a cute, cozy West village coffee shop. It is not just a coffee shop but a store too. They sell a bunch of cute and yummy types of chocolate and other items like apparel. I came here to try out the viral Cloud iced cappuccino. Which looked sooo good. I was excited to try it. The price of it was a bit on the higher end. When I tried it I was a little disappointed that it was nothing special. I did like the whipped foam on top that they put along with cocoa powder. But the actual coffee itself was nothing special. I was glad to come check it out for myself but not sure I would get it a second time if I am in the area again. The staff who worked here are very nice and it was fun to see what cool things they had here.

Five stars for the breakfast burrito! So delicious and flavorful and awesome coffee with housemade syrups. It can get super crowded here in the mornings on the weekend and there's not much space to sit but there is little space to stand and sit outside. Great coffee shop with lots of fun novelty items you can purchase in the store as well!

    Iced Cloud Cap

The Iced Cloud Cap tasted great as a dessert, but for all the posts I've seen about this, I think my expectations were set too high. The drink was perfectly beautiful though, and while showing my tourist friend around, the drink felt perfectly right in my hand as we walked around in the summer heat. The service was quick, and the staff was friendly. This was a cute spot that sold a lot of interesting goods.

The coffee here was decent but not great. I loved the store and the selection of goods. Service was friendly and it has a nice ambiance. There's no seating so it's grab and go with a bit of standing room.

    Lavender matcha latte

Small coffee shop tucked in west village. It's got a lot of natural wood interior inside, with small goodies you can also buy other than coffee. The baristas were very sweet. I ordered a lavender matcha latte and for me the sweetness was good and matcha tasted high quality.

The Elk is a little coffee shop tucked off the beaten path of the main streets of the West Village or if you're walking/driving along the west side highway. The interior is up a small flight of stairs (not handicap accessible) and there is a counter to order drinks and food, as well a small store of pre-packaged goods. There is also a covered dining shed outside. There were many people working behind the counter so the line moved quickly and drinks did not take long to be ready. I got the lavender matcha latte, which included a $1 up charge for non-dairy milk bringing the total to $8.50 for a small sized matcha. The color was pretty, but it was extremely sweetened and there was not a strong lavender nor matcha flavoring, which was disappointing.

The cloud latte is a must try! Smooth, sweet, and just how I like it. I added a shot of vanilla for that extra sweetness and it was perfect. Just a heads up--there's no real seating, aside from a few tiny (uncomfortable) stools outside.

A very small and cute aesthetic café nestled in West Village. The cozy ambiance and charming decor make it a pleasant spot to relax. We took our food and drinks down to the river for a nice picnic. However, I found the breakfast burrito and iced latte to be just alright. The burrito lacked meat and cheese, and it was overloaded with peppers, which overshadowed the other flavors. The iced latte was decent but nothing special.

    Strawberry Matcha Latte

The Elk is a super small, cute little coffee shop just off the main streets of the West Village. While there's no indoor seating, they have a great ambiance. It's a coffee shop and tiny little store all wrapped into one. We got two Strawberry Matcha Lattes with goat milk, which were expensive, but excellent. And two little chocolate energy balls, which weren't that flavorful, but felt healthy. The customer service was super friendly. I'd definitely go back for the drinks and to buy little gift items (gourmet jarred food, candles, etc.)

Was not expecting this amazing selection of products!

Heads up! Kitchen closes at 4pm so you can't get smoothies after that time. The lady was super friendly about it though, and in general I really love this coffee shop as they curate lots of fun merchandise as well and have a nice outdoor patio.

I saw this place on an influencers IG story as she mentioned The Elk has the best breakfast burrito in NYC. As a breakfast burrito lover, I had to come over and see if this was true. Made it over on a late Friday morning and saw there was outside seating as the place does not have room to eat inside. Was a nice day, so it worked for me. Its in the West Village so the feel was everyone comes here after a yoga class or they just love wearing yoga pants to come here lol. They have a nice breakfast menu as well as all the popular coffee drinks, but the mission was breakfast burrito. The burrito was a nice size, not too big and not too small. Comes with egg, chorizo, pico di gallo, avocado, cheese and sour cream. While it was decent, this is not the best BB in NYC...pretty decent though. Staff is very nice here and loves their customers. They have a lot of different things you can buy like seasoning, cooking oils and many household items. If I lived in West Village, I would probably stop here often.

The cookie I was most excited for was the corn cookie and the chocolate chip also looked really good. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed by the black & white cookie because for some reason I thought it was a chocolate cookie with white chocolate chips, but it was actually just a regular cookie with black and white chips lol. The cookies themselves were really solid though. Nice light crisp around the edges with a chewy center without being overly gooey or underbaked. Definitely on the thicker side too, which I liked. Next time I'll have to try one of their espresso drinks!

The Jeju Green Tangerine Matcha honestly just tastes like a tangerine selter drink but in the best way, because I don't typically enjoy seltzer or carbonated beverages. I really enjoy the flavor and the carbonation isn't too strong, probably because I brought it home to drink. I don't really taste the matcha but I would definitely still order this again. 2. Matcha Einspanner. This is my first time having an Einspanner so I have no idea what I was expecting but this is DELICIOUS. It's so silky and smooth and the TASTE is just right up my alley. The matcha is light but you can still taste it. Absolutely, would drink this all the time if I could. 3. Purple Sweet Potato Latte. This. This. Omg, why haven't I tried this sooner?! The first sip and initial taste, I almost tasted nothing, just milk. And then all of a sudden, there's an explosion of flavor in your mouth. As a sweet potato lover, I was in heaven. I have absolutely no words for this drink, just try it. 100/10 recommend. This is probably my favorite one out of the 3 that I bought. I went around ... 2:45PM on a Friday and most of the seats were taken, if I remember correctly. There were a decent amount of seats and the space was decent. I liked the minimal aesthetic they had for the design of the interior. Not to forget, the staff at the register was absolutely wonderful, she answered all my questions, she's so sweet. I think I'm disappointed that I haven't tried this place sooner. Y'all get out of your comfort zone and try the Purple Sweet Potato Latte !! Or if not, just try this place out. I will definitely be recommending the Purple Sweet Potato Latte to all my family and friends.

I ordered an iced matcha einspanner ($6.95) with oat milk ($0.75) and loved that it already comes with a shot of espresso, so it was essentially a dirty matcha einspanner. I tried each layer on its own before mixing everything together and it was all really good. The matcha cream is the right amount of sweet and creamy and you can taste the matcha with just a hint of coffee. Since I'm a coffee fiend I added a bit more espresso when I got back to the hotel and it tasted even better while still keeping the matcha as the dominant flavor. Next time I would ask for less ice since it was freezing that morning, but on a warmer day the ice level would be perfect. Would love to come back to try their other drinks or order the einspanner again as a hot drink.

It happened to be 787 Coffee which I have visited plenty of times on the island and enjoy. With excitement and in Spanish I tell the cashier that I was happy to come across this place as I have tried them out in PR. How is it that this "jibara" apparently from Maricao, spoke to me in broken English while I am talking to her in our native language, total fail. Anyhow, I ordered the coquito hot latte with an extra shot of rum and oat milk, fine, I paid $11 for a very small coffee. Now what I can't believe is that the quesito pastry was $8. I really wanted it but it was not until I paid that I then noticed the price. I sat to eat it while I waited for my name to be called as mentioned by the cashier. I walked around looking at everything, the music very loud and hard for people sitting to have conversations, the place is very colorful and with many PR sayings, however the place also feels very Americanized with the music and layout. I still awaited my name to be called minutes later, but nothing. I approached the cashier, who was just standing there, to ask about my coffee and she wasn't able to tell me so she asked the barista steps away from her. He pointed to a cofre sitting on their counter, it had my name, and when I pointed out that I was waiting for my name to be called, she shrugged her shoulders and smiled like she didn't care. The coffee by now was not all that hot, I never tasted any rum or coquito flavor and felt I wasted my time at this place. What's more upsetting is that I left a nice tip for a service that was not provided. They couldn't even bring the coffee ti my table once they realized it was sitting there and they forgot to call my name. You can find better service elsewhere.
