This shop has a fast turn around for your embroidery needs. I had a rush order for two backpacks I gifted to my niece and nephew and within 25 minutes, the lady handed me the custom order I put in. Reasonable price for what you need and so much more options to embroider gifts displayed inside the store. I was told it would take 1 week to get a blanket embroidered. I went back TWO weeks later and it was not completed. They offered to work on it right away after realized it was an oversight. Brought some items in to be embroidered, and was given a receipt saying it would take a week to complete. One week later (05/28), I show up as soon as they open, and the lady tells me that my order isn't ready yet, and that it would be ready "around lunch or something". Huge inconvenience because I had a full day of running errands in town planned ahead of me, plus I drove from Kaneohe early enough to give myself ample time to get to my scheduled obligations that day. I come back at lunch, and the girl was trying to help 3 different customers at once, rather than having a strategic, organized way to help each of us--maybe one at a time, that way you can focus on each of our needs???? She kept coming back and forth cuz she'd forget what each of us were there for. If you're going to promise to have work done by a certain date, that means the customer can come ANY TIME that day to pick it up. If not, then give us a completion time from when we drop off our items. I would've planned my day differently had I known that it wasn't going to be ready. They didn't offer any consolation for the inconvenience either. Also, their shop is still just as messy/tight as when they were at Stadium Mall. read more

I brought a canvas bucket bag here to have my daughter's name embroidered. I was happy to find out that they could in fact do the job since 2 other places told me they couldn't do it since it was rounded in shape and thicker than what they could accommodate. One of these places quoted me $9.50 before looking at the task at hand. So when I brought it to Embroidery Giftshop, I thought they were a little overpriced at the $16 they quoted/charged me; but I thought it was worth it since the other places couldn't do it. I'm not sure if I could've found another place that was cheaper and could do the job as well. It's okay, the workers here were friendly; and the workmanship came out nicely! I attached a photo. We were looking for a local company that could embroider our work shirts and make us look more professional when talking to customers. We had used mainland embroidery companies in the past and the shirts just wouldn't fit right and wore out quickly. Getting the best shirts locally, making sure they fit right on us then having them professionally embroidered was the right choice. I needed a logo item embroidered on an apron. I looked online and with shipping, set up fee, and for the item it was $120. After months of not getting this task checked off of my to do list, I yelped embroidery shop and found this little gem! I stopped in to inquire and ordered my item with ease. My experience here was so so. I took a stocking in to have a name put on it... A simple 5 letter name. The older lady that works there helped me and was very sweet and helpful. She said it would be done in one week. I go back 8 days later and there are three people working. The guy is on the phone and doesn't looks up, The younger girl looks at me but doesn't even speak....instead she tells the older lady to help me after I stand there for a few minutes. They look and look for my item as the older last rolls her eyes at the young girl. There doesn't appear to be a lot if organization there. Finally, she told me that it was never started yet but to give the girl a few minutes and she would have it done. So, 15 minutes later I have ny sticking...and the young girl was like- oh sorry you had to wait cause she knew I was completely irritated. read more

I was in a jam on a Saturday morning. Had bought a beautiful robe from GAP for my niece. I wanted to have her name embroidered in silver to add that extra special feel, but needed to send it out before her birthday. I called about 3 places in Honolulu, but none answered. When I finally called here the woman on the phone was so friendly & said to bring the robe down and they could have it done same day! I was a little nervous as other reviews said this location was unorganized and does not complete orders on time. This was not the case for me! The robe was done within 3 hours and looked beautiful! I just had to do an update on this place. I absolutely love this place. So I finally got my dashboard cover and went to get it installed. Didn't realize my embroidery was not straight. I was a bit sad and was thinking oh my gosh, I'm going to have a hard time making them fix it. I returned it straight back to this embroidery place and had them take a look at it. She apologized and said they can fix it. Yay! Super happy. She said it would take a little longer to remove it then to embroider it again, but it should be done by Thursday(which was 2 days away). Great! I explained to her that it was wet because I was having it installed and when it was installed I realized it was straight. She said it was fine they could let it sit out and dry off and they can fix it. With numerous places not wanting to do the work, I really under estimated this place. I thought I would come back to grouchy workers. As I arrived, they told me hi and remembered my order. Awesome! The one that came out to my car and helped me, even came out and gave me the same welcoming smile and wave, like the previous time I came. I love great customer service. I love people that actually do things out of love and not just for business. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! I wish I had gotten their names. Thank you again "The embroidery gift shop". They messed up on my item (wrong color thread) and still had the audacity to charge me MORE for slightly bigger font with the correct color font. Since they had to take out the wrong colored thread -- it left the Christmas Stocking with holes in it. I wouldn't be so upset if it was just a regular Christmas stocking that I could pick up from a store. This was a vintage Disney Store Christmas stocking that is no longer in production :( Not even an apology or acknowledgement that they did wrong. I understand that in a small business every sale counts -- which is why I didn't ask for a refund or discount. I was sincerely hoping tho that they would see for themselves that they basically destroyed the stocking and take it upon themselves to correct the wrong. But nope. They saw the mistake AND the holes and let me walk out of there without so much as even an apology :( read more

It was done on time and it looked great. I had a custom logo embroidered on one side and a name embroidered on the other side. This place has zero organization. My first "mock" order (1 hat and a jacket) was promised to be done in 7 days... After several disappointed visits to go pick it up and it not being done yet, they finally finished it 24 days later. I was a little aggravated but I didn't really need it by a certain time so I kind of brushed it off and gave them more business. Well this time I told them I needed it in exactly 8 days and they said no problem. I even called on the 7th day to make sure they were done and they said come by tomorrow after 4pm and it'll be done. Well, today is tomorrow and I went by at 430 and they were closed even though their hours are from 9-5. I needed my stuff by tomorrow morning and now I won't have it. Brutal customer service and unbelievably bad work ethic. After I pick up my items (who the hell knows when that will be) I'll never give them business again! read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! I pre-paid for two (2) towels to be embroidered. The lady who helped us said that the towels will be ready by 2:00p on Friday, and if it's done earlier, they will call. Well towels weren't done at 4:30p on Friday, and I was told that one machine broke down. NO CALL to say that it wouldn't be ready, I got off the freeway out of traffic to find this out. To make it obvious that it's so unorganized, the girl at first couldn't find the towels, them she came back saying that it wasn't done, and that I could come back in half am hour to pick it up. Two names, eight letters total, and they couldn't get it done in a week. Guess I should've known that it would be bad service when they made me pay in full for my order. I've used this place before with good service but this time my service was unacceptable. I went in to get some towels done and the older lady there was very pleasant and helpful writing down the name and color for each towel. Upon my pick up day I go to the shop and stand there for awhile waiting for someone to help me. Finally someone helps me but can't find my order. I find it and point it out to them. I look at the work and find that the names are not centered on the towels-it's off to the left. Not pleased I show them the problem and want it corrected. They say they can't correct it because if they do the material will show the original mistake. They tell me if I buy new towels they can redo and get it to me later and they will pay for the original towels. I needed it within the timeline they gave for the redo and they wanted me to get the new towels. I told them I needed it by a certain day and they couldn't guarantee me the day. They said "sorry"; and "it looks okay". They did give me a discount for the error. Frustrated I took it. WHO DOESN'T CENTER A NAME ON AN ITEM!!! read more
