She was always quick to address any issues and was very welcoming. Pure gold, as was the rest of the staff. The building was always in good shape, and if something needed fixing, someone was called in right away and made sure the problem was resolved. Street is over populated with buildings that consume the driving space, Enclave is a 70s built building which requires continuous maintenance . Three managers in less than one year is a sign there is a struggle, upon applying they won't give you an option of what's available - rather dictate what you may have. Rates are higher than expectations . No central air - No refrigerator - No dishwasher - No on site security - No access for Amazon packages - Mediocre building . December 2023 there was no hot water for a week, gross neglect . They will increase your rent after one year and add extra charge if you do not sign a lease. Ungrateful read more

We are writing this review in regards to not being clearly communicated by management on our holding deposit and as senior citizens feeling pressured to sign the holding agreement with deposit for that. They are trying to charge us for each day that we can not afford. We gave them letter today to wave fee and are waiting for response from corporate office. read more

You DO NOT want to live here. Trust me, there are plenty of other great apartment buildings with better management on Bluffside. If I could give Enclave Apartments 0 stars, I would in a heartbeat. My next door neighbor was consistently loud every night, starting around 9pm and going until 4am. Sylva and her manager, Joe, told me to "call the police" as a first suggestion for the issue, rather than politely talking to the noisy tenant themselves. Sylva and Joe ended up somehow NEVER speaking to the tenant, and when I asked to be released from my lease (only *2* months into a 1-year lease), Joe was happy to break the lease... just to avoid properly handling the noise complaints. I missed multiple nights of sleep (and days of work) over this lousy neighbor, and when I moved out, Sylva nor Joe ever apologized for how the situation was handled... or for the fact that I had to pack up and move within 2 months, just because of their inadequate managing skills. Do yourself a favor and avoid this apartment... or any Carlo Inc. property for that matter. read more

I finally got my security deposit back from The Enclave, and they charged me $160 for the cleaning of my apartment. In the letter they sent me, they included pictures of my "dirty" apartment. The pictures they attached are of dents in my carpet from where my furniture was and the chip in my sink that they never fixed. When you move furniture, there are going to be dents in the carpet, so don't take pictures of it as if I am a dirty tenant. Don't be fooled by their pretty pictures, this company is very money hungry and does not care about their tenants at all. What bothers me is not that I didn't get my full security deposit back, rather Carlo Inc and The Enclave's lack of remorse of my concerns. Never in my 3 years as a tenant did anyone ever apologize to me. I am very glad to not be associated with this apartment complex or with Carlo Inc Management anymore. read more

My boyfriend and I lived in this complex for three years. Sylva was the best manager during that time. She's always been very responsive to our concerns and took pains to ensure we were having a positive experience living in the complex. Really, I've never encountered a more kind and resident-oriented manager at any previous place of living. Over the time we were there, we loved how quiet the complex was, and how nice our neighbors have been. I locked my keys in the laundry room once and went to a neighbor to ask her to let me back into the laundry room. She was nice enough to take the time to do that. The building security has improved over time. All perimeter pedestrian doors now close on their own, there are security cameras around, a night security guard, and Sylva personally goes around closing any open tandem gates that she finds open. Lastly, there are lots of good restaurants a walk or short drive away, and Ralph's is just around the corner. The convenience is tremendous. read more

Finding an apartment in LA is a daunting task. Finding a nice, affordable apartment in a good neighborhood with a caring staff? Doing that can feel discouraging, if not impossible. That's why my wife and I are so incredibly grateful to have found The Enclave, and its wonderful, caring manager Sylva. We'd been living in LA for a little over a year when a new company bought our previous building and immediately raised our (already somewhat overpriced) rent. That new company was so bad that if you called with an emergency after hours (like your toilet overflowing, for instance), their voicemail (since they never answered) told you to call 911. Seriously. Our experience with The Enclave -- and Sylva in particular -- is the absolute opposite of that. We'd been exploring some of Carlo Inc.'s other properties in Studio City (Carlo owns The Enclave), but from the moment we met Sylva, we knew Enclave was our new home. Every step of the way, she has gone above and beyond: giving us every possible discount, assigning us a more convenient parking space, welcoming my service animal onto their property, and even getting the company to lower the rent a bit for us. LA can be such a hard place, filled with people looking to take advantage of you. It feels wonderful to have someone like Sylva (who hugged us after the first time we met her, and told us how much she hoped we got the in-demand unit we eventually moved into) and her company in our corner. The Enclave itself is fantastic, too: a quiet, tasteful building in a nice and extremely walkable neighborhood. We like our new Enclave apartment much more than our previous Sherman Oaks building (even before the horrible new company took over), it cuts my commute to Hollywood in half, and we're saving over $700/month in rent for similar square footage and a much homier floor plan. I know this might sound too good to be true. That's what I would have thought before. But trust me: The Enclave and Sylva are the real deal, and my wife and I feel so lucky to call the property our home, and Sylva our manager and friend. read more

I moved in about a week ago, and couldn't be happier. The apartment is newly renovated and feels so cozy. The complex itself is quiet, safe, and the neighbors I've come across seem so friendly. You can't find a more ideal location; the enclave is walking distance/a short drive from all my favorite bars and restaurants on Ventura Blvd. When I found out the universal/studio city metro station is a 7-min walk, I couldn't believe it. It's absolutely perfect for professionals who work downtown but want to avoid the painful rush hour drive there. I also feel incredibly fortunate that my property manager is Sylva. I'm not going to lie, moving to LA from SD has been a real pain for me and my roommate. For about 2 months, we've encountered fake apartment managers that baited us with empty hopes and false promises. We were almost about to give up when we were referred to the Enclave Apartments. Since day one, Sylva has been amazing. She seems to be the most genuine person we've come across while being in LA. Her friendly attitude makes her very approachable. She has been accommodating and helpful and made the moving process extremely easy. We absolutely love her. As for the complex itself, I personally love it. It's nothing super fancy but it's safe (a key is required to go almost anywhere), relatively quiet, and it feels like home. Ralph's and Rite Aid is right behind the complex and it's right off the 101, 134, and 170 freeways. Also, Universal Studios and the Red line is a few blocks away. Overall, this place is great. In September, we drove from North Carolina back to Studio City as my son returns to finish his college degree in downtown Hollywood, and we had plans of an Airbnb only as a start. Once we arrived, we were on a mission to find an apartment that is in walking distance to the Universal Metro Station: After one week's searching, the Enclave Apartments happened to have a unit opening up so that we could move in by our goal of October 1st. Sylva, the resident manager, got us an appointment to view the apartment immediately, and she was incredibly warm and welcoming. Lucky for us, we were the first ones to make an offer! This is an experienced professional manager and realtor as she smoothly handled the entire process for us, and not only that, she was able to get our new apartment completely ready for us within 6 days of the tenant's leaving. We met our goal of October 1st and that is absolutely 100% due to Sylva's managing the process, and it also speaks volumes regarding the relationship that she must have with the many people involved regarding the overall maintenance of this very quiet and lovely apartment building. We moved in one week ago today, and I cannot tell you how happy we are here. My son easily commutes to college (a brief and very safe walk to the Metro station and takes a 4-minute subway ride to Hollywood/Highland to school), and I have a beautiful, quiet residence from which I do my online consulting work. There's a wonderful Ralph's shopping plaza right behind, us, too! Much is within walking distance or you can use the Metro--there's also a bus stop at the end of the street. If you're lucky enough to find an opportunity to move to The Enclave, you'll find the current residents are very happy here, too. There are tenants who've lived here for MANY MANY years! We're so very grateful that we have this wonderful space and love having Sylva here. We greatly appreciate her genuine caring demeanor, her experience, and her professionalism. We've been living in the Enclave for about 6 years and we loved Andrea the old manager as we do Sylva the new one. She is friendly, helpful and attentive to our needs and requests whenever we have them. She is warm to everyone that comes in and is always around whenever you need to ask or request anything. Lived there for ten years, moved out last month for work, so that's a positive review in itself. Overall a nice clean and comfortable building in a mostly safe and quiet neighborhood. Maintenance is good and the on site staff are all very friendly and helpful. Had two on site managers, the old one was great and was replaced a few years ago with Sylva, also a wonderful manager who was always quick to respond to any requests, maintenance issues or any other problems. Had a few issues with Carlo, the leasing agency, but they do a very good job of finding high quality onsite management, both Sylva and the former manager were the two best that I've had in 24 years of apartment living in Los Angeles. Location is excellent, all the food, services and entertainment you could ever need within easy walking distance. Universal Subway station is a five minute walk, you can be on Hollywood Boulevard in 10 minutes or Downtown in 20. Why not five stars: Building is well maintained and clean but old and showing it's age, just a bit dingy around the edges, not the Luxury apartments advertised on the sign out front. The leasing company will hit you with every fee for which they can find an excuse. Doesn't matter how long you live there, you're never anything but a checkbook to Carlo. Quiet at night, but only at night. The entire block is all big box apartment buildings with 10 foot wide alleyways between and a full size alley behind with a strip mall behind that. All those close walls make for an all day long cacophony of truck back-up alarms, mowers, blowers, cars and screaming crack heads The crack heads. The neighborhood is lousy with them. They're harmless but you have to lock up your stuff and don't leave anything in your car at night, it'll be gone in the morning. Overall a great neighborhood and building with some minor drawbacks. Very easy area to live in with lots to do and close to everything. Good apartments at a good price, everyone seems to be very happy living there. read more

The manager Sylva made this move in process super easy. I'm very happy with my apartment and the price was great for the location and for the amount of security in the building. This was my first apartment in the "real world" and Sylva really made myself and my family feel comfortable. I'd recommend this complex to anyone looking for a great, safe, well maintained apartment complex! This is by far the worst experience I have had and I should have known to walk away the moment I walked in to that office that smelled like a cigar lounge. We were greeted by Sylva which acted professional for the first 5 minutes even though I strongly suggest they should have a dress code implied specially when you carry the title of a manager that demands great respect and that attitude. By the time we signed the lease she had already forgotten the price and the break down on paper work thankfully we had it written down. The best way to describe this manager is for every solution she has a problem, very unprofessional and with a very nasty ugly attitude and she will worn you " its better for you to be in good relations with your manager" before slamming the door in my face in front of my family simply because I complained that she is never there and she felt accused . I'm sorry if truth hurts . By the way we just moved in less then 3 weeks a go . First week we had a battery attack in front of my balcony second week my husband almost got attacked by a druggy from a near by building while walking with my 3 year old in front of the building I went to approach her regarding the situation and her response was " sorry that's not my problem " but you can file a incident report. The parking in the building its supper tight I asked if I can have the spaces switched where she had us for the first 3 weeks and she got furious started screaming at me and told me that if I don't like it to park on the street that she dose not have time for my issues and to call the emergency nr if I have a problem and literally slammed the door in our faces me my husband and my children. She also was suppose to put my name on the mail box that took her 2 weeks she was suppose to take pictures of the existing scratches on the bath tub and kitchen sink but she never did but I did :) very disappointed can't wait to get a hold of the land lord and try to get out of this joke... No Sylva I'm not scared of you and I shouldn't have to be ! This is an update on my review the actual managers reached out to me shortly after and came to an agreement and if you can pass over Sylvia everyone else seems to be professional. read more

I only lived here for about 1.5 yrs but I thoroughly enjoyed living here. The neighbors were all nice and friendly. It's definitely one of the quieter buildings around the neighborhood. The view towards the hills were gorgeous at night. The location is super convenient! It is walking distance from the Red Line, Universal Studios, CityWalk, Ralphs, and Starbucks. It is a short drive or Uber/Lyft to the bars/restaurants further west. Parking can get crowded if you have company over. As part of apartment living, I feel you will run into a few odd situations, but at no point did I not feel safe. Sylva was great and took care of any issues I had! I'm only leaving because I lost to the gf on who's apartment we move into. I would have loved to continue to stay here! read more

Their full time crew is always maintaining the upkeep of the building and grounds and quick to do repairs whenever needed. Location, value, and security were my motivations for moving in and I haven't been disappointed. I've lived here for three years and there isn't much to complain about. The location is superb and we have two parking spaces. The rent is high but competitive for the area. The building is always clean and the manager is quick to take action on maintenance needs. The neighbors generally keep to themselves and only rarely are they loud or inconsiderate. I want to write the followup. I am kind of surprised to see good reviews; but my experience is pretty bad with apartment facilities and in particular with the manager Sylva. First of all She is grumpy for most of the time, and She is the kind of person who you do not want to meet unless you have no choice. I visit her office multiple times for various queries, she never "greet me" and more over she never ask me to take seat, and she make you to stand in front of her as "troubled kid" in "Elementry School Prinicipal's Office". I also learned from other tenants that she accuses them for creating noise if their kids are just out in the common area for like 5 mins. Her famous line as per them "I just got two calls about noise" even though the Kids are out for 5 mins. This could be the best apartment if you are Single or Elderly person and you dont care how you are treated by Property Manager, but definately not good for Families with Kids. First of all I am not sure why Enclave is hiring such "Bad Managers" who has no knowledge of "Customer Service" and do not know in dealing tenants. I have to move out of the apartment and I do not recommend this apartment for ANYBODY - as I mentioned before there are nice apartments in neighbourhood with cheaper rent and with "BEST Customer Service" To Enclave Management : Pls train your Aparment Manager in soft skills, Customer Service before placing them in your properties. read more

I lived at the Enclave for 2 years and it was such a great experience all around. The grounds were always kept clean, I felt safe, and my neighbors were very respectful. The best part of living at the Enclave is still Sylva, the apartment manager. She has the biggest heart and genuinely cares about her residents. She will take the time to sit down with you, as busy as she is, to ask how you're doing and make sure you're happy. I moved out a few weeks ago (due to outside circumstances) and she made the moving out process so easy. She even helped me sell my refrigerator when I moved out! I'm so thankful for her help - it makes such a difference when you have someone reliable and caring like her. We moved into Enclave, with hopes to move out a year later however, we enjoyed living here so much that we ended up staying another year. This place is GREAT! Firstly, the cleanliness, in the two years we lived at Enclave I did not see any bugs in our apartment or in the common areas. This is a well maintained and super clean complex. Secondly, the apartment manager, Sylva is just brilliant! She is super friendly, helpful and extremely professional. She made our move in and move out transition very smooth and efficient. She is very knowledgeable and very good at handling any situation. She makes an extra effort with everyone living at Enclave and knows them all on a first name basis. She works hard to build a good community environment at Enclave hosting tenant breakfasts/ dinners/ raffles. It's rare to find someone who is as smart and present as Sylva. Thirdly, Enclave's location, it's right next to Ventura Blvd, here you have convenient access to an endless number of shops, restaurants and amenities. It's also walking distance to Universal City Metro Station (this is a big plus if you commute by train) and Universal Studios/City Walk. Fourthly, safety, Enclave is very secure. Our apartment was right next to the main door and our front window was right there. At first I was worried about our security, however as time passed I realized with the residents that were living at Enclave and the street I had nothing to worry about. This place is in a safe and vibrant street. Fifthly, Maintenance/ repairs, any request we submitted was dealt with promptly, literally within a few hours. They also have a great emergency service line which you can call and someone will come out instantly and solve any issues. Sixthly, rent price is very decent, especially for studio city, which is centrally located in LA and very sought after. This place is truly amazing! I've lived here for 1 yr now and I've really enjoyed it. It's a quiet and clean apartment complex. You don't have to worry about loud neighbors and junk everywhere. It's location is awesome, with the supermarket and plenty of healthy food choices in walking distance. Also the subway is in walking distance too (universal city stop). The management is good too. Excellent! The Enclave Apartments was my top choice after visiting multiple options around the studio city area. It is extremely quiet and clean because there are no pets allowed for tenants. I love it here and think it is a very competitive price compared to other housing options. The move in process is super easy and Sylva the manager is very professional and quick to respond. She treats you like a VIP and is extremely friendly. There were no problems while moving in and it was a very smooth process. Sylva delivered on all the promised renovations before my move in and the unit was immaculate when I checked in with new carpets, counters, and everything. This was by far the best experience I have ever had with a landlord and apartment company, and I have lived all over the country. The Enclave is a fine choice because there is ample street parking for guests and you get a garage space to park your car which. Laundry facilities are clean and well maintained and the manager lives in the building so you always have someone to contact in case of emergencies unlike a large corporation. read more

Lived here for three years during my time through Nursing school and couldn't be more pleased or happy with my experience. I decided to move on to a new area for my new job which is really the only reason I left the Enclave. Such a peaceful atmosphere where I was able to study for my nursing classes inside as well as outside in a nice courtyard with plenty of seating and tables to study. The manager Sylva was amazing throughout my three years here as well. Maintenance was rarely needed but when it was Sylva always arranged it and would go the extra mile to make sure it was done. Also great location to access Hollywood or the valley being located near 134,101, and 5. So easy freeway access and quick access to the metro line less than a block away. Also, universal studios is within a 15 minute walk, there's a very upscale grocery store within 5 minute walk, and If you like to walk places, Ventura is less than a block away too.
