We stopped by for lunch at Americus after an event at LaBelle winery. It wasn't too crowded and we got seated quickly. The burger was delicious and cooked to perfection. We had to make room for dessert and the creme brûlée didn't disappoint. I loved the fruit they added to it to help cut the sweetness. The apple blossom was good, it was similar to an apple crisp. Great service & food! Olivia aka "chef" made amazing recommendations and we had the special for the night, Prime Rib with the loaded baked potato and the raspberry basil sorbet! We had a wonderful evening visiting LaBelle lights and Americus restaurant. The restaurant was very busy including the bar area. We walked the lights and had a reservation after the lights. The food was very good and I especially liked the braised octopus and roasted fennel salad. I would recommend to be seated farther away from the door because in the winter the opening and closing of the door makes the seats near the door more cold. read more

Went for Mother's Day brunch. It was just ok. I should probably go back not on a holiday (I always find holiday restaurant food worse and restricted menu). It was so expensive for what I got --salad, chicken and a desert. The two highlights were the lemon bread they gave beforehand and the chicken was cooked well with decent mashed potatoes. We purchased $100 tickets for their "Carribean Night" which was a speical pre-fixed Carribean island menu which came with 2-3 wine pairings. The meal consisted of traditional appitizer, salad, entee and dessert. Tickets were for 6:00PM and the meal was not served until nearly 8:30, and it was very underwelming. Also,everyone was seated at 12' round tables so we were sitting with strangers. Which was a nice way to get to know others in the community. However the tables were too small and we were very tightly smooched in and also barly enough room for glasses and tableware. There was also a live reggae band which was cool. Had some patio drinks and food with some girls after visiting the winery next door. I am in love with this whole space. Wine, food, golf AND mini golf! What a hidden gem that I cannot wait to come back to. Had no reservations but got seated right away at the gorgeous patio. Our server was James and he was such a peach. Sadly our experience was not good. We were going to a show at the adjacent venue so it made sense to eat at Americus. Everyone else had the same idea but the restaurant was ill prepared for that many people. The service was great. I cannot really comment on the food because everything arrived late and cold. A very disappointing evening. I've come to the restaurant previously but this night we were a party of four celebrating my daughter's birthday and ate inside. The ambiance in the restaurant is great and our booth location was exactly what I hoped for (I had requested a private and quiet area of the restaurant and it was perfect!). After that it went downhill. Our server was also servicing a large party at the same time which took precedence to our table so there were delays in following up with us throughout the evening as well as delivery of drinks, food, and refilling water. I understand pricing everywhere has increased but overall portions for the price from appetizer to dessert were disappointing. I've had the butternut squash & pumpkin hummus plate several times and even with a party of 2 there aren't enough items provided to dip in the hummus. There are plenty of other restaurants that offer fresh baked bread and don't charge for it. I love the artisan bread at Americus but think it should be offered complementary. Out of 4 dinners only my daughter was happy with her meal - which was a vegetarian bean burger. My swordfish was overcooked, my sons ribeye was not a good cut (for $66 it should be perfection!), my dads pork tenderloin was overcooked and his mashed potatoes were served cold. I had asked if I could substitute the fingerling potatoes for mashed and didn't notice on the bill till the next day that I was charged separately for fingerling potatoes that I didn't have as a side dish. Drinks were good for several of us but not all - my son ordered his favorite - an espresso martini - that he commented was awful. We aren't the type of people to send food back or cause a scene. It was a special occasion that we wanted to enjoy. I definitely walked away feeling like the value just wasn't there for the price. Came here twice for dinner and mini golf! Great place for a date night or a nice family dinner. The food here is delicious and well portioned for the price imo. My favorite was the bolognese and the pork belly appetizers (still thinking about them now). There is both outdoor and indoor seating and lots of tables. Our waiter was friendly, but the overall service was a little slow. I think when I come back for dinner in the future, I need to anticipate spending at least 2hrs here. read more

Pretty spacious restaurant, the acoustics can be a problem, but let's talk about the food. I from NYC so I was pleased to see Roasted Octopus on a bed of greens and edamame and a Mediterranean dressing. The fall salad was gorgeous and paired well with the octopus. We had cocktails. I Had a Bombay Saffire martini, it was a perfect my hats off to the bartender. The waitstaff were great with us. Some were newbies which is fine. It's a family restaurant early in the evening and more adult later. I highly recommend this place, oh and the buffalo cauliflower appetizer was spot on. My daughter and her husband took me to Americus at LaBelle Winery for dinner recently. We had a delightful dining experience. Our server, AJ, was very friendly, professional and helpful. We started with cocktails --I had a delicious Margarita which I enjoyed. Then, we shared the Mussels which I liked because there was just a hint of spiciness. I chose a Baked Cod dinner for my entree. It was very good. My daughter had the Sausage Mac & Cheese which looked amazing. My SIL had a pork dish that he enjoyed. Of course, we each had a glass of wine with our dinner. The dining room is nicely decorated on the fancier side. But, my daughter has come here with her young children and said that many other families do as well. There is also an outdoor seating area for warmer weather. There is a wide variety of choices on the menu from dinners to pizza to burgers to pasta-you get the idea, with many tempting appetizers and desserts. They also feature seasonal menus at Americus. I recommend making reservations, although it was pretty quiet on the snowy Sunday evening that we were there. I look forward to returning to Americus for another wonderful dining experience. read more

I got the heirloom tomato salad which was way over dressed and included an incredibly mushy tomato. Other meals were fairly greasy and again over sauced. Americius has a lot of potential. Aesthetically, I'm all about this place. It's a fairly new establishment and they did a really nice job on the finishes. The menu is promising and has some unique items, however the service and execution are a bit lackluster. We started with the cheese fondue platter (pictured). This was the best part. Who would have thought to roast grapes and pair them with cheese?!? Not me, but it was tasty. I would give the fondue a 9/10. I wasn't too hungry after this so my husband and I split the Cajun style pizza. It was really just average. Ours didn't have tomato sauce (not sure if it was supposed to?) and the toppings were a bit heavy and didn't have much in the way of seasoning/flavor. The crust was thin (in a good way) and baked well. The service was not good. We didn't ask for much, and we were there nearly two hours. Perhaps they were short handed that day, but we might have been one of ten tables, tops. My husband and I were basically thirsty the whole time we were there because she never filled our water cups. Not sure I'll be going out of my way to come here anytime soon. read more

We got the pork belly lettuce wraps for an app. They tasted great but were assembled as one large wrap which made it more different for sharing. Would prefer they are separated out into multiple lettuce wraps! For entrees we got the steak sandwich and the rigatoni bolognese which were both excellent. The bolognese comes with a sauce that is more like a vodka sauce in taste rather than a red sauce but it was delicious! Sandwich was huge and the flavors were great. I made plans with friends and a reservation with La Belle because of a photo linked to it on Facebook. The photo was of a pasta dish that looked so yummy! Yes, I looked on the menu of both locations for dish that it could be but found none. We still kept the reservation and when we were ordering, I showed a picture of the dish to the waitress. The restaurant is definitely on the nicer side, but they do have a kids menu and there were several parties with kids as well as we were there on the earlier side. It was the first time dining at Americus (last time it was fully booked) and literally if this was my last meal, I wouldn't complain. We have now been to Americus at LaBelle Winery in Derry twice. The first visit was for a date night dinner, and unfortunately, we left totally unimpressed by the dinner menu in the dining room. Decided to give it another try and stuck to the bar area. Huge improvement! The gentleman behind the bar was busy, yet very attentive and friendly. Our drinks were nice, not amazing, but a decent cocktail and a sold glass of Malbec. We ordered the mushroom pizza and I was impressed. It was a perfect size to share and very tasty. Reasonably priced too. If you're looking for a nice date night location, we recommend the bar at Americus at LaBelle Winery. Don't be fooled by the dining room hype and glitz, it's not worth the wait or the price, but the bar is comfortable and a nice spot to relax. read more

First visit, we usually visit the Amherst location. Arrived at 7 pm on a Saturday, seated immediately after a friendly greeting . Warm & comfortable decor. Only negative was the noise. Pretty busy but high ceiling seemed to amplify the noise. Ceiling soundproofing could help. Menu is extensive & interesting. We ordered two pizzas-mushroom & Fenway. Delivered to table in 15 minutes by our fabulous waitperson Miranda. She is first rate. Best thin crust pizza we've had in a long time. Three different staff asked us if food etc. ok. Appreciate that. This will replace Amherst as our go-to LaBelle restaurant. It's actually a little closer. read more
