I was already in Honolulu and scrambling to find a hotel last minute due to my cruise ship being a day delay (due to Hurricane Lala August 16 2026). I was staying at a different hotel days before but due to my cruise delay, I ended up scrambling and the hotel I was previously staying had no rooms available. I found The Equus available on Expedia and immediately booked it. I showed up to later find out how run down the hotel was but I had no choice. I showed up and spoke to a staff there and was told that they couldn't find my booking. Looks like Expedia allowed people to book the hotel because the hotel showed rooms available when there was no rooms available. Many people showed up under the same situation as I. I immediately called Expedia and told them the story and they were so confused why their hotel showed available when they have no rooms available. They spoke to the staff at The Equus and I was able to get my money back. The Equus looked very run down. It was crowded full of people. Worse of all there is no elevators from their main floor to the ground floor. I am glad I got my money back. I don't think I would even wanted to stay there. read more

FYI, the rooms were really loud since this hotel is basically perpendicular to Ala Moana blvd. and you get all the car noises from the knuckleheads who got a flowmaster attached to their lifted 4runners. Easily the most disgusting, horrible " hotel" I've ever been to . How this place is still in business is beyond me. The room smelled like a barnyard to start, the air conditioner wasn't working and we asked nicely to have someone come fix it. The maintenance man was very sweet but couldn't fix it. It was sweltering in our room.... The front desk " help" named Will was so condescending. I have a video of him being so mean to my friend that just battled breast cancer ... he laughed at her when she simply Explained that a hot room is very uncomfortable. We ended up leaving in the middle of the night with zero help from this nightmare of a glorified hostel. Thank goodness I took a video of all interactions. Oh and I didn't get a refund for the first night . I had another POS argue with me over the cost even though we never slept there at all. Such a homey humble stay, here in Waikiki, HI. The staff were very welcoming. It seemed like a family owned place and even if it isn't, it's a good thing still. They made it feel like a home stay. You get some nice views of the sun going down behind the harbor docks and can also enjoy a partial street, city views or other hotel, home buildings and shops. I do have a slight dislike of their elevator, it's quite cricketyyy.. kinda scary. lol. It will slight open before it stops on your floor and it does have, like any other elevator, a weight and capacity limit, but I feel like it should be less than it says seeing how fragile it sounds. Otherwise, this stay isn't so bad. Rooms were roomy, had a balcony, shower, closet, fridge, AC, tv..etc The hotel has a deep pool, a bar right upstairs the entrance before the homey check in area. Upon checking in, I specifically asked the front desk clerk whether there were any hotel fees, resort fees, or incidental charges associated with my stay. I was clearly informed that there would only be a temporary $1 authorization hold placed on my credit card and that I would not incur any additional fees. Approximately two days into my stay, I discovered that my credit card had been charged an additional $159.25. This charge directly contradicted the information provided to me at check-in. I immediately contacted the hotel to dispute the charge. The employee I initially spoke with reviewed my account and stated that he could see what had occurred but advised that only management could address the matter. When I later spoke with a manager, I was informed that I had signed documentation authorizing the fee, which I dispute entirely. I do not recall signing or agreeing to any such charge, and the terms were never properly disclosed to me. The manager refused to provide any refund or resolution and stated that I could "do whatever I needed to do" because the charge would not be reversed. I found this response dismissive, unprofessional, and unacceptable from a customer service standpoint. Additionally, after researching online reviews and consumer complaints, I discovered multiple reports from other guests alleging similar experiences involving undisclosed or disputed charges at this property. So this was my humble abode while I was in Hawaii. The hotel has limited parking and I was thankful I got the last spot. The elevator could use some work as well. My room was quite impressive, the only downside was the stray hairs in the bathroom the cleaning crew missed. This is my third stay at The Equus in an Executive King over the past 20 years. The room looks the same except for added night lights near the ceiling. I've seen this type of lighting a lot in Japan. The only major changes I've seen to the property in twenty years: bar improvement and the room phones are gone. This is the first hotel I've ever been to in the United States with no room phone. Kinda weird. I would think that's a safety issue. Overall, the stay was okay. The bed wasn't that comfortable. You had to find a happy medium with the air conditioning because there isn't really good bedding. I had to use the shawl on the chair to keep my feet warm. It is a really convenient hotel to stay at if you want to be near to the Convention Center, Ala Moana Shopping Center and Ala Moana Beach Park - all within a ten minute walk. Nearby are some spots I like to go to when I'm in the area: Tropics Island Grill & Ale House, Suzie Wong's, Namaste Indian & Nepalese (Formerly Bombay Palace), Waikiki Gangnam Style, Island Country Markets (ABC mini-grocery store), Aloha Kitchen and Sunny's Local Grinds. Pros: Price Convenience Friendly front desk staff Cons: Room was not clean by my standards. Lacks wall sockets by the desk. Pillow beds? If they are, mine was flat. I have stayed here three times in the last couple of years for events in Waikiki area that required my staying overnight. I absolutely love this little gem of a hotel. It is clean, kitchy, and the staff are amazing. The elevator is slightly sketchy, and it has that vintage retro wiggle and shake of a 1940s hula dancer. It could even make you find religion... Praying that you will get to the ninth floor safely. My most recent day there was on a day that we had a tsunami and the hotel staff went above and beyond to make sure guests had lanterns and instructions about what was going on. The bar in the lobby is fantastic! The bartender even more so. On tsunami night, she stayed open as long as possible, feeding guests when so many other places in Waikiki had closed for the emergency evacuation. Props to her! I would stay there again anytime I needed something in that general area. read more

I am torn right down the middle when it comes to my thoughts and opinions of this motel. I say motel despite it saying hotel on the wall because all of the rooms are accessed from the outdoors. This was my second stay here and I think that my memories of the place were actually nicer than the place itself. As with most motels, the photos that you see on their website are professionally taken and manipulated to make things seem way nicer than they actually are. Case in point, the website shows the exact same room in the photos for the deluxe and the classic king rooms. In the photos, the motel looks plush and inviting. The rooms seem clean and well maintained and overall, you feel like you're getting good value for your money. The first time I stayed here, the room was booked for me as I was on a work trip. I only stayed here from around 10pm until check out the next morning and so my experience was very limited. Because I had been here before, when I decided to bring my wife and her mom on vacation, I looked them up. That is where my memory must have been a bit foggy because I remembered it being pretty nice and the prices that I was looking at were great compared to other nearby places. What the motel staff didn't know was that I would be able to enter into two of their rooms and this is where I felt lied to. I booked a deluxe king suite for my wife and I and to save mom some money, I booked her the classic king. Ours was on the 9th floor and mom's was on the 7th. They were EXACTLY the same and when I questioned the front desk about it, they said that the only difference is that our room has older antique furniture. So, if you never knew the difference, you are literally paying more for the same room. It seems that each floor of this motel has mostly the same room just with different furniture inside and that wouldn't be a bad thing if the rooms were quiet. We heard and smelled most of our neighbors as well as noise from the street below and it would also help if the rooms were cleaned well. Our shower had someone else's long black hairs on the wall, there was soap scum and grit and grime in every crevice. The room overall feels worn out and you cannot enjoy the balconies because the mini splits are mounted to the ceiling and cause the whole balcony to be crazy hot and uncomfortable. Add to that the fact that even though you have air conditioning controls in your room, they seem to have no effect on the machine's settings whatsoever. You either have it on or off at whatever temperature they've preset it for. My suggestion for this motel is that since the water pressure is terrible. Install some handheld shower heads that can be taken from the holder and used to rinse. My wife had to get back into the shower three times to get the soap off of her. I know this is running long but conscious travelers ought to know the details. They have an elevator, but it only runs from the 3rd floor to the top so be prepared to lug your baggage up a two-story flight of stairs before you get to the lobby where the elevator is. They have a very small swimming pool that we didn't use because by the time we came back from our day trips, it was already closed, and the saving grace of the establishment is the onsite Paniolo bar and cafe. All of the bar tenders were super friendly and welcoming. This little outdoor oasis serves craft coffee in the mornings and is mostly a full bar for the entire day. Everything they serve from the beer to the sandwiches is all locally sourced and the prices are competitive. Ben and Julia were awesome! As for the motel. If you're like me and basically need a bed to crash in. They are surprisingly comfortable. We spent most of each day away from the motel so paying a premium wouldn't have made much sense. This place is within walking distance to the Ala Moana Center shopping mall, a convenient ABC store and Waikiki beach and the Ala Moana beach park. The don't oversell their parking spaces so if you land one, you won't need to worry about having a spot, but the lot is a nightmare, and they charge $30 per night. Add that to the surprise transient fees on top of the regular resort fees and when you're done, you'll still save a little bit of money. All three in our party agreed that we would definitely stay here again. We would even recommend the Equus to others who are traveling to Honolulu but then again. We are frugal and forgiving when it comes to certain standards that others may have stronger convictions about. read more

I surprised my wife with a Christmas staycation. Looking for a combination stay and dinner for Christmas Eve was frustrating. When I was looking for accommodations the staff at Equus were so helpful. I booked our room and when we arrived on Christmas Eve, our room was ready for us. Equis offers a complimentary cocktail for those checking in. After putting our luggage in our room we went down to the hotel bar. We were warmly greeted by Matt and he served us up our drinks. The open air atmosphere was fantastic and warm hearted conversation is great. This not your over the top big chain accommodations. My friend booked the room for a 1 night staycation but if it was my money I would never stay here. It was $200/night and they don't have enough parking spaces for the amount of rooms. Like 8 stalls or so for 100 rooms. If you're coming from the airport along Ala Moana Boulevard it's very inconvenient having to do a U-turn to get to this very narrow hotel only to find out there's no parking. Then you might be able to leave your luggage to drive to Ala Moana Beach Park, do another U-turn and park in Ilikai Hotel for $28/day. I heard later you can park at the marina for $1/hr. At least I'm an able-bodied person to do all that walking back to the hotel. But it would suck with elderly, kids, disabled, or in the rain! Not to mention Waikiki is crime ridden so I was nervous. There are about 20 steps up a narrow staircase to even enter the lobby. Good thing we didnt have luggage to haul up those stairs!. Idk if there is another entrance for wheelchairs. It took a long time to check in because there is only 1 person sitting at an antique desk. Thatched wallpaper (peeling at times) everywhere.our room had no balcony. The decor reminds me of Gilligan's Island with a heavy emphasis on equestrian/polo/horses because they have a connection with Mokuleia Polo Grounds. Furniture seems bought second hand and refinished to appear antique shabby chic. Beds were tiny like full size or smaller? Decently comfortable though. Popcorn ceilings, dated tile and granite. Like the minimum to make it function. Surprised to have key cards about the most modern thing. At night they lock you out with a gate u ring a bell to get in. Although concrete building, the walls and floor are thin u can hear all sorts of noises -  coughing neighbors stomping, flushing. Very dated dirty, shower, mildewed tile grout, weird workmanship. No complimentary water or mini bar but there is fridge and keurig. There are some redeeming qualities, although few. 1) free welcome drink from the cute tiki bar. This bar is small but many local residents are regulars. An eclectic group one even brought a dog. There is live music Saturday nights. We had our free vodka punch drink and chatted with everyone, very friendly bartender. 2) there is a small bar sink in the room. 3) Walking distance to Ala Moana mall (if you're brave enough to cross the Ala Wai bridge at night). 4) walking distance to Red Lobster, ABC store, a few other bars. 5) good a/c. We were disappointed the weren't serving breakfast or coffee because the chef was sick. So we walked to/from Liliha Bakery for breakfast. We did drink the keurig coffee in the room. If it was my money, I'd rather "pony up" and spend $100 more for a cleaner, modern room with parking. Their website photos are misleading, it is nowhere near as nice as they depict. read more

We booked a room at the Equus through Southwest Hotels, and we're so glad we found this place. It's a small boutique "hotel" that's a step up from a motel, but not as fancy as a more well-established hotel. Rene the front desk receptionist is super nice! She was very kind to hold our bags for us until it was time to check in. This is such a prime location, with a short walk to Ala Moana Mall, and a 10-15 walk to Waikiki Beach. The Equus kind of has a beachfront motel-ish kind of vibe. The elevator was kind of janky, and the shower is kind of cramped and dark, but our room was otherwise convenient and comfortable. A safe was available to store small valuables. They also provide plenty of complimentary beach towels you can take on your beach adventures as well. Thanks Equus for the wonderful stay! read more

I set up a trip for my Mn buddies and my adult daughter 1/30-2/4. My daughter wanted to support local businesses so we stayed here. Great idea!! Two of my other MN friends stayed here too. My daughter and I loved it and would stay every time on future trips, Very reasonable cost, older hotel and nothing fancy but it was clean and had everything we needed. If you are looking for a fancy Westin or Hilton experience, I would recommend you go there. This place suited our needs . The little bar in the lobby was a fun spot to meet with our other friends when going out or to just do a bagel for breakfast or happy hour. The bartenders were so friendly and made sitting at the bar even by myself a fun experience. It was convenient to where we were going. We could walk anywhere along the beach or get a cheap Uber to go to the opposite end of the beach if needed. I ubered to Dukes a couple times for about $5-6 each way. The Aloha Cafe was nearby and had incredible breakfast food. Chart House had incredible happy hr food and very close by too! I plan a yearly trip and this will be where I stay for sure!! unfortunately we had a horrible experience here! upon our arrival we were greeted by extremely rude staff, when we got to our room we were given keys that didn't work so we had to go back down and get keys that worked . once in the room we were met with filth , dirty sheets, dirty shower and toilet and mold on celing . we notified front desk and they set us up in a new room that was a little better minus the balcony that had a ac splitter in it and made it extremely hot and unbearable ! By night 2 I woke up to a charge on my card for $415 dollars when asking the staff why they gave me the run around of when a manager would be in ! Still a week later have not been refunded and have never heard from manager after daily attempts since we left ! We left and went and spent another large amount of money to stay somewhere else! I'm so glad that we had our day here. We had to leave our other hotel for one night and I found this on a website. It had decent reviews and was decently priced. Now, we got there and were greeted by a wonderful woman. She was really sweet with everyone and clearly loved being there. She took care of us and gave us the keys to our room. I had some leftover lunch and she let me know that they could heat it for me which was great because we didn't have a microwave in our room. This place has one elevator and it doesn't go to the ground floor, so if you have bags, be prepared to carry them. The rooms have a key that you have to put into a slot that will electrify the room (let the tv work, turn on the lights, etc.) They have a Keurig and some coffees. They have a fridge. The bathroom has a shower, a toilet and there was a sink with some cute toiletries. Now, why one star? Well, the room was tiny, compared to the place we'd just left and a week in that room with my husband, as much as I love him, would have been brutal. He loved this place and thought it had a ton of character, which it does. But it looked different than I expected when I saw the pictures in the ads for it. The family that owns it is associated with the Parker Ranch, something my husband had heard of, but I hadn't. There are pictures from the ranch and lots of pictures of horses on the walls, which is a nice touch. Also, it's quite dark at night and going down the dark hall way to the elevator area also dark, which has a poorly lit staircase on the other side resulted in my being thirsty all night long. But otherwise, it was all good. Although, not a first choice, I'd stay here again if there was a reason for me to go here, I'd be fine. read more

There's no lighting on the balcony which sucks if you want to go out there after dark. I liked that the fridge had a freezer to keep ice for my drinks. The Equus was disappointing to be honest. The biggest highlights were Lincoln at the front desk, and Yulia at the bar. They were both so warm and friendly. They were happy to give great recommendations and were helpful in any way we needed them to be. Sadly the novelty ended there. The rooms were very dated and very dirty and dusty. We really struggled with housekeeping. We had to complain multiple times about the trash not being removed, no clean towels and not taking out the dirty dishes. After the second complaint. I gathered up all of the trash for the cleaning person, piled up the towels on the bathroom floor, and put all of the dirty dishes in the bathroom sink thinking that she couldn't miss that!!! I was wrong. The only thing that was done was that the bed was made and the trash cans were emptied. I had to go down and complain for a 3rd time. Then Jackie, one of the managers had to escort the housekeeping person to the room to ensure she attended to the room properly. She finally got all of the trash and dirty dishes out of the room, it was just sad that it took 3 times, and a personal escort from the manager to get very basic cleaning. The rooms have no phones or any way to reach the front desk. Nor are there any outlets conveniently located in the room. The elevator makes a screeching sound that can be heard from our room, day and night. The pool was nice and well kept but honestly, the rest of it needs a really good overhaul. It could really not have been better located though(only a block away from the beach)which really was the only redeeming quality about the the hotel itself. Like I said, Lincoln at the front desk and Yulia really saved it for us, though we will stay elsewhere next time. read more

Cute little boutique hotel. They are an open air hotel so there is no AC in the lobby or the bar. The lobby area is small and was crowded at check in time on a Saturday afternoon. The process was super easy and pretty fast. They charge $29 a day for parking and they have a valet. You can expect a free welcome drink after check in, but don't expect it to very strong. The bar area also doubles as a cafe and quick breakfast spot in the morning. There is no complementary breakfast but the prices are reasonable. Just remember, you get what you pay for. Next to the bar is seating and the pool. The pool is a decent size and was clean. It makes this repetitive gurgling noise that I found to be exceptionally irritating so I didn't spend any time there. The elevator takes forever to arrive on your floor and there is only one. When I arrived my room was clean and THEY HAD THE AIR ON! This was a nice touch for me since it was in the 90s that day. I don't know how they fragrance the room, but it smelled amazing the whole stay. The room is small and dated and has more furniture than is necessary, so don't expect a lot of room to stretch out and unpack. They provide free coffee and tea pods, a mini fridge, and a patio with outside seating. The location made this a great choice for me. The hotel is walking distance to 2 great beaches, several restaurants and bars. I would say skip Waikiki beach and go to Ala Moana park instead. read more

Super far from the airport. Cost $$$ just to get to the hotel. No elevator from the bottom, had to take stairs with 50 pound bags. My husband lost a day of sight seeing because he hurt his back lifting the bags up the stairs. Pretty run down room. Tape holding together the main lamp in the room. A football game from 10 years ago was turned on and playing in the room. Odd. No soap in the bathroom. Very dated and old. Big mixup that neither the hotel staff or Priceline is taking responsibility for. I paid $20 more per night for a room with two beds- 1 king and 1 double. After we checked in and went to the room there was only two double beds. I called down to the desk and I was told by Chad that they don't have any rooms with that combination of beds. He advised me to call priceline to complain because he said that it was their false advertising. Maybe he thought that I wouldn't call, but I did. Priceline called the hotel and they were told that they DO have those rooms. So I paid for something I didn't get. Who is lying?! I think this hotel is scamming people into thinking that they are paying more for larger beds and hoping that they won't notice when they check in. $20 a night adds up. At night this place was a hot spot for loud drunks yelling F-bombs. Not family friendly at all. I was embarrassed to bring my father here. Never again. read more

If I had to describe my stay at the EQUUS hotel in one word it would be DISAPPOINTING. Never has a hotel disappointed me this much in its amenities, service, hospitality, and accommodation. There were 3 particular instances that guaranteed I will never stay in this hotel again. The first was the elevator. The elevator broke down on us between the 4th and 3rd floor. We were stuck there for 30-40 minutes. When we called the front desk, they seemed not to have any urgency to get us out, they said they contacted the elevator company and to wait until they brought someone out. We had to call 9-1-1 ourselves as they did not have any rush to get us out. Thankfully firefighters were on the scene in about 5 minutes. We received no apology and no accommodation from the staff. Instead they berated us about having more than 4 people when the sign is for COVID not capacity. Elevator capacity was 2000lbs which we did not pass. The elevator also does not have a visible permit which is incredibly sketchy. The second instance was the parking. The parking is already tight and narrow. We had gone walking one morning when we received a call from the hotel to come back and move the car because they were cutting coconut trees. We had to drop what we were doing to move the car after receiving no prior notice that this trim would happen. There was no prior notice, no sign, no communication. The third instance is check out. We packed our bags and brought them down to load onto the car. We never checked out, returned our keys or gave any indication that we were leaving. We walked to a nearby starbucks and when we were back in our room, it was checked out and wiped clean. Our stuff had been thrown out, our food, snacks, and remaining personal items. This was the cherry on top of a horrible hotel experience. When talking to the front desk, they assumed we had checked out because we took our luggage. Who does that?! I strongly recommend to look for another hotel as this place was horribly disappointing. Will never stay here again. read more

I come here once a week from Maui and I'd rather stay here than any ritzy hotel. It's got a very local welcoming feel and it's so homey. It's like staying with family. They are family run and you can feel it. I also love that they give you a free drink at the bar when you check in. The Paniolo is my home away from home. 5 stars alllll the way! P.S. Wonderful stay, great staff! Housekeeping is super nice and helpful! They offer beach towels and chairs for free and a free drink at the bar when you arrive. Comfortable air conditioned rooms and a lani to relax after the day is over. I would stay here again, loved the stay. PSA: is not accessible property by no stretch of the imagination. I was told by my valet at checkin there is no elevator to the lobby check in area. That means you must walk about 13 steps to check in the lobby level to take the elevator to your room This place is a mixed bag. The Room was clean and cute.The bathroom was functional and the coffee machine worked well. Bed and Beding was functional and comfortable. The AC is provided by a Split Unit which works well but made a fair amount of noise once I figured out the AC unit was making the noise it was easier for me to go to sleep by shutting it off. Friday night street noise was also loud the first night. The resort fee of fifty bucks for my two night stay seemed like bad joke there is a pool that I did not use would not likely use it. The location is is a 10 minute bus ride to Waikiki beaches and about ten minute walk to Aloma Mall. Look if this a business trip or you just need to be in Waikiki then this hotel is a decent choice, but if this your dream Trip to Hawaii then you bettershop around. read more

Overall staff, value and small business appeal are what sets this property apart. I've stayed here a couple of times while waiting to fly out of HNL and it's been a pleasure every time. Rooms are comfortable with mini fridge, coffee maker and decent size. They have a welcome drink for when you arrive and proximity to sites is great. Parking is a little tight, as is most in Waikiki. I've just decided to ride-share to the property and good to go. I don't know if it's the owners but Keo and Rene were very welcoming and showed lots of Aloha! I've stayed at much more expensive properties on Oahu and been severely disappointed. This place is comfortable and welcoming which I appreciate. read more

My wife and I spent 3 nights at this lovely hotel, and loved every minute. The first day at check in the gentlemen at the front desk allowed us to store our luggage prior to check in. Upon arriving to our room it was very clean and the a/c was on waiting for us so we could get out of the heat and relax. The second morning we ate at the cafe downstairs and their blueberry muffins were to die for. In the evening we took advantage of our aloha drinks and sat by the pool. The people in this hotel has gone above and beyond in my care. I had a kidney infection while staying here and they helped me get to the hospital and supported me while I was in the hospital. I was really looking forward to my trip to Waikiki and to the Equus in May 2020. It was my birthday trip! Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic hit and we had stay at place orders here in California and Hawaii also had strict quarantine orders. We had to cancel our trip. Unfortunately, I placed the reservation through a third party website (I will not name them, but they are horrendous to deal with) and the refused to refund me. Fine, I figured I would deal directly through the hotel. I called and was greeted by Rene. I explained to him my situation and requested to see if I could get a voucher to use my stay at a later date. He said he could definitely work with me and told him he would call me back. He called me back and did some research - Apparently, Equus didn't charge the website, and they never got any money from the transaction. He gave me his name and told me to call the company to request for a refund. If they had any questions about it, he would talk to them on my behalf. What fantastic customer service! I really appreciate Rene for being so upfront and helpful with me. I will definitely stay with them when I do rebook a trip to Waikiki. Unfortunately, I was not able to get my money back with the third party website, but I was able to get a credit on the account. I will try to use the credit with them or I will go directly through the hotel to book next time. read more

I had the fortunate opportunity to spend a week at this boutique hotel. I plan on returning for a longer stay. I would highly recommend it for anyone that is looking for a unique place to stay that has a wonderful staff - everyone from Lincoln checking you in, housekeeping, and the crew at the cafe/bar (Matt, Ben and Yulia). I have to say Ben and Yulia are my favorites! Ben is wonderful (always friendly, smiling and helpful. Ben made my stay a wonderful experience - everything from bringing my bags up the stairs from sidewalk, my first Panilio punch, great recommendations for local food establishments, great conversation daily and my first lox and bagel breakfast. Yulia is really friendly, funny and great with everyone. The hotel has a pretty patio and pool area, with an open air bar/cafe. The pool water is cold but felt great after a long day shopping. The open air bar is a great place to meet other guests and locals. The room was a little crowded with furnishings and a little dated. However, it had everything I needed and then some... fridge, coffee maker, quality toiletries, very clean and the king size bed was amazing. I did ask for a blanket (I need to sleep with weight), I didn't get that but they did provide two extra sheets . It all worked out! My room had a balcony on the 5th floor, a view of the trees which had beautiful birds singing every day. There is a ABC store close by and a Food Pantry grocery store. The ABC is good for essentials but the food pantry is a actual grocery store and is just a couple blocks away. The Alana Moana open air shopping center is about a block away and has everything from a target store to Nordstrom and EVERYTHING in between including a large food court. I spent most of my time at the Magic Island Beach/park which is just across from the shopping center. Nice beaches with lifeguards, great for snorkeling, swimming and chilling. The park has some beautiful trees, lots of benches, plenty of bathrooms and outdoor showers, very safe and clean. To sum it up, the Equus Boutique Hotel is my new go to thanks to the Equus team, the convenient location, the value and overall experience! read more
