Okay I really liked this place?? Felt so tucked away, I've lived a mile or so from here for a year and had no idea! They have good vibes, seating both inside and outside, dogs could hang, drinks were 10/10. I noticed they had an espresso martini tree / flight situation so I will definitely be back !!!! My drink was like a bees knees with Irish moonshine and it tasted like a sip of spring. Bartenders were friendly, bonus points for cool accents! They have food options as well - we all know we should have a snack whilst drinking. You can pop in with a quick walk from 36th St light rail station. There is street parking if that's your thing. It's in Noda, though felt a little quieter than the main strip! So glad we stopped by, just wish we had sooner!

The service was EXCELLENT! I went during my visit in Charlotte NC and they were so kind to me. The drinks are DELICIOUS, the ambiance is casual. It's perfect for those who live nearby and want a night cap or nice hang out

Great Wagon Road has a large selection of cocktails to select from. I had the salted caramel Irish coffee. I enjoyed it . My husband tried the deconstructed lemon sorbet martini. It was unique , tasty and and presented in a unique way. And my son had a hot toddy. The drinks were all very good. They offer a variety food offerings and the pizza seemed to be the popular choice. There was live music which was very good. A comfortable environment to enjoy music and cocktails.

Just stopped in since Salud Cerviceria served their beer for a Boilermaker. They don't do tour but happily offered a taste. They have great daily specials. The bartenders Shawn and Delphine were very friendly. Will definitely return.

This was a very nice spot to grab pizza and drinks from. My friend and I both enjoyed their pretzel, salad and meat lovers pizza! I highly recommend this place for a quick bite to eat or pregame in noda. Our bartender was very friendly and the inside is pretty spacious! I enjoyed my time here. Will return on a Sunday for their specials!

Omg! If you ever need to host a private event, this is the place to do it. Affordable, allows catering, amazing drinks provided (Bartender Collin), accommodating and helpful host (Ashley). Throwing my mother's surprise 65th birthday here was a dream! 10/10 would recommend.

Went on a Sunday afternoon. Not too crowded. Sat outside where they had music playing and sports events on the TV's. Nice relaxed atmosphere with many people bringing their dogs for afternoon cocktails. We didn't do a tour or a tasting . Tried their Quinn's Old Fashion which was delicious but a little pricey for a local distillery in my opinion. My wife had their Manhatten which she absolutely loved. They have a good menu of apps, salads and pizza. Nice cocktail list along with flights. Bottles are available for purchases. Would love to do a tour and a tasting next time in the area.

Great venue. Live music Televisions for March Madness! Service by Adam was above five star. Adam offered to take pictures of our family. truly appreciated! The pizza is amazing! The dough is awesome! As a New Yorker, this is sLome good ass pizza. There was a live band playing great music of a varof genres. The beer, I had, Juicy Jay, was enjoyable, a great IPA! GOOD VIBES ALL AROUND!

I can't say enough fantastic things about Great Wagon Road Distilling. I was initially looking at the venue to rent out the back-barrel room for a company cocktail meet-up. Ashely was so quick to respond, friendly, and accommodating. Our team wanted to expand the idea into a cocktail-making class, and the Great Wagon team made it incredible! They set up the barrel room to be cozy and comfortable. They took our group and created small groups for tasting, educating, and drink-making. The food was delicious and so accommodating to dietary restrictions. Thank you guys so much!!

Love this distillery. Great beverages that also has a kitchen! Very nice setup with inside outside seating and TVs. Live music at times

The Great Wagon Distilling Company is a local distillery known mostly for their malt whiskey blends although they also dabble in other spirits including gin and vodka. You can find their products around the city, but if you care to go to the source then you can their main location in the NoDa area, a little ways past NoDa proper and not too far from the Sugar Creek Station. It is definitely worth the trip, because if you feel like hanging out, they have live music during the summer along with delicious pizzas and a fantastic cocktail menu. I have been several times and think their cocktails are some of the best in the city, and the pizza hits the spot! I also really enjoy their signature whiskey Rua and have gifted it to several family friends and family members so that they could enjoy a taste of Charlotte. Even if you only have time to pop in to grab a bottle of spirits, I highly recommend making the trip!

Huge thanks to Great Wagon Road Distillery for helping make my husband's birthday a wonderful and memorable night! From the events planner, Ashely, to the bartenders and staff; everyone was friendly, helpful, and attentive to ensure we were happy. The Barrel Room is divine! It feels like you have been transported to the prohibition era; hidden, big yet intimate, charming, masculine, just perfect! There are tvs, music playing to your liking, pool table, and ample seating. The drinks were also superb! My husband enjoyed every whiskey drink he tried. The margarita and mules were also delicious! Whether hosting an event, or stopping in just to hang out I highly recommend Great Wagon Road. It's like no place in Charlotte!

Deconstructed raspberry sorbet martini

I recently seen this place on fb and it caught my eye. So hubby and I stopped in for a drink and was really impressed. The bartender was super friendly and helpful and very quick at making drinks. I could not resist trying the deconstructed raspberry sorbet martini and it was so fun and refreshing! Hubby enjoyed his old fashion as well. On sundays if you buy 2 signature cocktails you get a free pizza! We did not know this and already ate before we came. But next time!!

Vegan cheese was great!

Could not leave fast enough. The overall decor and vibe was great, just our assigned person was lackluster in every regard. EDIT (5/27/28): When we entered and sat down, to the bartenders credit, he swiftly asked us what we wanted. As we were describing the general vibe of the drinks we wanted, the attitude of the bartender manifested as very condescending and lacking in general back-and-forth discourse. Despite the dismissive attitude, but after the drinks were made, we attempted to thank the bartender, but his only response was a derisive chortle before walking off. For the remainder of our stay, he was flirting with some female patrons at the other end of the bar. Sharing pictures, conversation, and general good service while we were ignored until we asked for the check to pay and leave as quickly as possible.

There's outdoor seating, and initially we wanted to sit outside but we didn't have reservations. Luckily, they seated us at a small corner section near the back of the bar. It's very cozy and intimate inside. Just my type of vibe. The service was top tier. They were unable to validate our parking because of some sort of discrepancy with the signage outside and lack of having the proper equipment for validation. To make up for it, they offered us complimentary champagne to start. We were not expecting that, and pleasantly surprised! Their menu has an eclectic selection of cocktails, both full and mini. We opted to order from the mini cocktail menu, and we each ordered two drinks. I had the Creepy cucumber cocktail and it was refreshingly sweet and probably my favorite drink of the night. I also ordered the Don't Shy Away which was a sour and spicy rum concoction with carrot in it. It was definitely spicy and had a puréed texture. I really enjoyed it. And, then don't get me started on the music!!! The dj was masterful. He played all the types of music I love and he mixed them in such a refreshing way. I ended up asking him for his contact information before leaving, and whether he does weddings because my fiancé and I are currently looking for a DJ. He was just that good. This would definitely be my spot if I lived here in Charlotte. It was the perfect way for us to end the night.

It's a small intimate setting and I do love the dark aesthetic they did. Gives it a swanky vibe and makes a great date spot. But they were burning incense in the tiny space and it was overwhelming. The other bar guests sitting next to us agreed. *They did finally pick up on it and the staff moved it toward the kitchen door* Staff was friendly as well, though, it was busy and looked as if they had a trainee in tow, so attention was lacking just a bit. So why we came: The drinks were average to me. One was weird (Pineapple Fried Rice) and I just couldn't get it sit well on my palate - and I tried - sip after sip. But the mixologist saw my struggle and swapped it out for a different one. I did like the Don't Shy Away - it was an interesting take on a margarita with a strong carrot base. The Whispering Dove was a take on a Paloma and I couldn't find the lemongrass infusion on my palate. So I found it pretty basic, but pricey. So overall, decent. And I might stop buy if I was stuck in the area again.

The menu this time is theme park theme... again, a fun concept but not well executed. Pretty overwhelming, especially with the bartenders explaining the menu to us twice with the same spiel there is too much to look at it makes it difficult to pay attention to the drinks. I really did not love my drink (starbreaker?) you could only taste the lychee The bartenders not a vibe, it was not that comfortable to sit at the bar. Now while she was vaguely aware of their "spirited kingdom" menu, I had NO CLUE. It was the best surprise! They have such a cool menu with a full theme park map containing 4 lands with 4 cocktails each. The cocktails all match the type of ride they are, it's honestly such a cool idea, and it was so well done. I loved the art. I will say, I was skeptical that all of their drinks would actually work and worried that they'd be too caught up in the theme to make results but . . . Oh my goodness I was so impressed by the drinks here. I think a lot of bars these days can get so caught up in trying to be unique that their drinks become nearly undrinkable. This place definitely doesn't suffer there. They brought us an aperitif when we came in, but unfortunately I have a blueberry allergy so we skipped that. We had 4 drinks between the 2 of us and they were all awesome. I ordered the star breaker and the green dragon (what can I say, I love gin and a good coaster), and they were both balanced and tasty. My friend got the diablo and the neon shift, and they were both fantastic as well! The neon shift was served with a black light too which was super cute. The one drink I have to call out specifically is the green dragon. There was something about this drink that was so unique, I have genuinely never had anything like it but I would order it a thousand times over. It's so good. It keeps me up at night. It haunts my every bar order. I will be writing home about it. What else can I say about this place - the service was great, the atmosphere was fun, and the DJ was amazing. I thought "wow this guy really likes sax covers" only to look over and see him PLAYING HIS SAXOPHONE LIVE?? Iconic. This place was perfect and I wouldn't change a thing about it. The spirited kingdom menu will only be around for 6 months according to the waitress, so definitely catch it while it's there! If I'd heard about it sooner, I would've maybe descended upon them with 200+ theme park engineers in town for the conference (maybe it's a good thing I didn't know they were there until after it was over), but instead I will just say DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND MAKE YOUR RESERVATION NOW

We were under the assumption that it goes towards the final bill the way the $10 weekday cover does, stated on the website. It did not. We paid the $20 in addition to our bill. This needs to be addressed on the FAQ page on their website, insane it isn't listed already. The drinks were the most meh drinks I've ever had. Their menu looks incredible, but the cocktails were so mediocre. Nothing special, I didn't even like my Pear Cosmo it just tasted like straight lime juice. Two of my friends got the Spicy Margarita and they tasted completely different. One was insanely spicy, the other wasn't spicy at all. Took 15 minutes for a server to come over and acknowledge and take drink orders. Seemed like lots of miscommunication on which servers had which table. As one would come over, the other would check in less than 30 seconds later. The vibe inside is cute but super strange that they didn't steam/iron the green curtains which are a big centerpiece for the room... you can see the crease marks on the curtains from where they were taken out of the package folded. Jazz band was awesome. However, for this being a lounge it was too loud. Couldn't hear the person sitting next to you talking because it was so loud. We did make reservations for a Monday night, though it wasn't busy at all, so you could probably swing by on a whim should you want to during the week. The place was a bit elusive to find, as you have to look for the '3 dot sign' with a staff member guarding the door, which I'm sure is the intent! Once you enter, you walk down a long, candlelit hall, which sets the speakeasy mood right away. Upon entering, the classic speakeasy vibe hits you! Dim lighting, leather chairs, a beautiful bar stocked to the brim with whiskey, bourbon, scotch, and all the other good things you would expect to find in a place that prides itself on great cocktails. It certainly set the mood and got us ready to have an experience. The mixologists were welcoming and informative. I enjoyed my first drink, which was suggested based on my personal preferences in taste. It was a spin off a classic, and I really enjoyed it. Sort of like a cross of a penicillin and a whiskey sour. [The Never Ending Story]. My friend had the clarified punch since we had similar things we've loved in the past. It was slightly sweet, smooth, and easy to sip. We decided to just get some classics since the cocktail menu felt more like just off shots of other classics we love. They were both excluded well! But the thing that really blew us away was the food! I was really pleased with this portion of our evening! We had the crispy Brussels sprouts, and they were the best BSs I've ever had! I thought we'd take some home, but that did not happen! My friend got the Mushroom Casarecce. It was creamy and delicious! The beef carpaccio was also really nice.
