His son took care of me yesterday (6/6/2023) and I do have to say that he is good and kind but I do prefer how his dad worked. My right eye is my biggest problem and he wouldn't change the focus enough for me to really see clear. I tried to explain that my right eye loses focus and no matter the adjustment range he was using it just did not clarify it. He then came to the conclusion that both eyes has the same vision. They have never had the same vision and even with closing one eye and the other I could tell my right eye was not clear. He said my right eye will never see what my left sees. Well no probably not unless there is something stronger for my right! I like his pleasantness but honestly it seemed to me that maybe his fascination with eyes and making sure they are at their optimum best is not as acute as his dad's was. My old one loved eyes so much that he even told me he wished I could get LASIK surgery. At that time it was over $5000 because it was a new procedure and he knew I did not have that kind of money. He always said my eyes were too pretty to hide behind glasses, even when I was little. Also now they have this thing where they give you trial contacts for $50. When my old dr was in he gave me my permanent script not trial contacts. I just was not 100% satisfied with how they or his son does compared to how he and his group operated years ago. To be fair though his son IS in the bigger field of eye care where as he was just an optometrist.

He listens to your problems and concerns and then examines you. He will then discuss with you what he thinks is wrong and what would be the best plan of care. I love that we are involved in our health decision making, something not often seen medicine today. He is very responsive and also uses telemedicine if desired. He has taken excellent care of my two adult children who have a rare disease. When most other doctors did not want to be bothered, he spent extra time figuring out the care they needed. He gave them back their health by listening, researching and making the best plan of care possible. He is a gem!

The dentist is not my favorite place to go due to some bad experiences as a kid in a dental chair but Dr. Griffith made me feel extremely relaxed and really made sure I was comfortable throughout my entire procedure. I had explained I am a full time student, part time worker and have a family to take care of, but I guess that did not matter. My concerned mother called their office about this and she was treated terribly. The people on the phone even raised their voice at her for using the word "honey". This is unacceptable especially in what's supposed to be a friendly close knit community. I already have terrible anxiety about the dentist to begin with and this has just made it worse, honestly. If they will treat me like that before making it to the office, makes me wonder how they will treat me in the chair. I can't comment on the actual dental care, it could be good or it could be bad but, what I can comment on is their customer service and it is bad. I can not recommend this for a person who has a life outside that dental office or someone that has anxiety about the dentist.

I found everything from some of my favorite books, to designer clothing. Oh and I can't forget the best find of all?? A couple years ago I really needed to find my dad a warm yet light weight coat. I had bought new one's and his last favorite was a dickies work coat and he wore it for 2 winters and it was shot. I searched for a new one then I tried used and still couldn't find the same one. I happened upon Outreach for Addiction Thrift Store and I found this amazing Eddie Bauer puffer light weight thinsulate zip up black coat. He was 85 at the time and didn't like a lot of weight on him, but needed the warmth. So for less than $5 I ended up with an amazing coat for my wonderful dad and many other favorites for me and the whole family. I also found a couple books I had not been able to find out on the thrift book sales or even the library book sales. I found 2 there I was pleased to have found.
