I love this place. The food is so fresh. The soup du jour was a chicken lime avacado soup and it was amazingly tasty. Great coffee, lemon water, and delicious salmon. Was here 2 years ago and have been wanting to return. Menu changes from breakfast to lunch at 11am. Would like to try the breakfast sometime too. The atmosphere is quaint like an old farmhouse. I had the avocado toast and a side of the farmer potatoes, while my husband had the egg scramble bowl with bacon and fresh-pressed juice. The ingredients were quite phenomenal. Flavorful and fresh. And gorgeously assembled. I adore that they offer a menu of eight kickass breakfast entrees to choose from with sides to add and GF baked treats. And those GF baked treats, let me tell you. The GF strawberry glazed donut was made by our waitress! How awesome is that?! The GF blueberry pecan cookie was the perfect blend of salty-sweet chewy crispiness. We were driving up I-94 on a roadtrip and found The Fabled Farmer on Yelp. It looked and sounded a little healthier than your run-of-the-mill diner, so we detoured to try it. We are very glad we did, as the food and coffee were delicious, with options for vegetarians/vegans, and the space was unpretentious. We were traveling with our 9-month old, and they had high chairs. Careless or poorly executed preparation of the 'Thai Bowl'. Steak was seared on too high a heat and then not given any time to rest. The lime wedge was cut from a lime that had clearly turned, the color of the skin and flesh indicate such. The vegetable medley was an odd assortment for a Thai dish, but I understand the intent of sourcing locally. That being said, simply slicing and sautéing vegetables is rather boring. Rice was not fresh and was over cooked. Finally the entire dish's flavor is overwhelmingly dominated by chili paste (sriracha). The execution of this dish is something I would expect from a 19 year old college student who's parents started giving them grocery money instead of a meal plan. read more

This place was packed when the 6 of us dropped in for lunch. It's a little tricky to locate since it's behind another building off Lincoln on the west side of downtown next to a new bank. They offer breakfast and lunch so hours are somewhat limited. The clientele appeared to be younger than other cafes in town with several students finishing their meals. The wait staff was very friendly and warned us that some items were already sold out. We thoroughly enjoyed an excellent meal including avocado toast, a tuscan bowl, burger with fruit bowl, and BLT and a grilled cheese sandwich. It was all good and we agreed that FF is probably the best place in town. They also offer baked goods and juices. They have outdoor dining available which is helpful since their interior space is limited. read more

What an awesome place - I stopped here for lunch with my mom while we were in town getting groceries. I've been trying to eat healthy recently and saw the menu and was sold. On top of that the salmon bowl I had was an incredible blend of flavor and perfectly portioned. Even the green tea was delicious! On my way out the door I also had one of the blueberry pecan cookies and was amazed. End to end fantastic experience, great service, clean restaurant and will absolutely be back! I tasted both and they were delicious; each had a welcomed little element of surprise. I watched some burgers and salads stroll by and will need to come back to try them too. Mary, the owner, was busy making juices to order and when I feel like being especially healthy, I'll need to order one. I was so excited to see a new restaurant in Fergus Falls and it did not disappoint. For lunch I got the salmon bowl - it was fantastic!
