Initially my girlfriend purchased $2500 worth of cold sculpting and Jeuveau injectables. My girlfriend purchased the injectables for me and her to do together, but when we went to the clinic we found that she could not transfer the credits to me, which seemed odd because they were already purchased. I elected to buy them myself to support my girlfriend and do something new together. $370 later with a $75 coupon I found myself pretty excited since they were projected to last 4 months or so. Long story short. I went back for another procedure because the initial application did not work and spots were missed. I looked like I had bad Botox . I came back a week or so later to get it fixed and was charged $75 more dollars, which I would have paid $1000 at this point to get myself from looking the way I did. I then took a third trip back because my wrinkles came back in 3 weeks. After talking with Dr Hensley he said 3 others had stated the same problem that were treated the same day (my girlfriend being one of them) and it could be a bad batch. Dr. Hensley and I talked while I explained that I would be a life long customer if we could find a product that worked. He stated he would give me a credit, and to check in a week or so. I called today and no credit was applied. Notes were put in my file regarding my issue but no credit. He straight up lied to my face, and his administrative clerk/ social media rep was the one who had to deal with it. I felt bad for her. My girlfriend on the other hand was told she never received a promotional deal and each treatment would be at full cost. This was done after all of her treatments were complete. Unfortunately we have the flyer and my girlfriend purchased the items with 2 other of her girlfriends, so we will see how this turns out. In the end I'm very disappointed in how me and my girlfriend were treated by the owner and some staff members. It felt like we became the enemy when we just wanted to buy and try some of the services available. I feel like they are struggling to pay the bills or something and they need every dollar they can get.

I booked an appointment with Dana. She was so sweet and listened to all of my concerns. It was honestly not painful at all! She did a dermal block for numbing and after that I didn't feel anything! We also added in some filler in my chin for facial balancing. We did not end up using all of the filler so we saved it and I scheduled a two week follow up appointment. At that next appointment we did add a tiny bit of filler but I didn't need much. The filler has made such a natural but noticeable improvement to my face shape. I went to Koniver Aesthetics for AviClear laser treatments. I had been suffering from acne for over a decade and I was told this would "cure it", or I would get my money back. I was also informed that it would take up to a year to see the results. After a year my skin was still terrible. At this time I was told by Koniver Aesthetics that it could NOW possibly take a year and a half. Obviously this was upsetting, but I waited. Around 18 months after the procedures my skin seemed to be worse than ever. I was livid. I reached out to their team and I was simply told there was nothing that could be done. I wanted to get on social media and write bad reviews for the establishment everywhere I could possibly find. Though, I was so depressed I didn't even have the motivation to do that. So why am I speaking out now? Well, I was wrong when I initially thought my skin was worse than ever. I spent thousands of dollars and waited 2 years to see results. I was told that the services that I selected were only available at their Downtown Charleston location so I made the two hour drive. When I arrived for my first scheduled appointment, I was turned away because no one had told me how I needed to prepare for the services. I did have a consultation appointment yet none of the pre-appointment information was provided or shared. Even the provider at the Charleston was surprised which didn't instill any confidence in this first-time customer. I made it known to their management that I wasn't happy to have wasted half of a day traveling back and forth to not have had anything done and they did apologize. A few weeks later, I arrived for a Botox appointment to the Hilton Head Island location. Not only was the provider 15 minutes late but I was told they could not access the product because no one had the keys to the refrigerator. The owner could not access the refrigerator! I was asked to leave and come back later. The follow-up response was a casual "sorry" text accompanied by a smiley face. After sending an email to both owners, I did receive an emailed response and a text message response asking me to call them. Umm, no. I am the customer and you have all of my contact information - you can call me to provide an appropriate apology. No one did. These are invasive, aesthetic services, and patients should be able to expect professionalism, communication and respect for their time. Instead, I experienced repeated disorganization, inadequate communication and a stunning lack of concern about the inconvenience they caused. If this is how Totality MediSpa treats someone chosen to represent one of its own promotions, I would have serious concerns about recommending this business to anyone.

I had already done my research and I knew that since I'm naturally dark-haired and fair-skinned, it makes me the perfect candidate for laser hair removal. Pasty whiteness for the win (sidenote: I'm really not THAT white)! The first appointment I was a little nervous because I've heard everything from it hurts like holy hell to it's not painful at all. I would rate the pain of my first appointment at a 5 on a scale of 1-10, with it being about the equivalent of waxing. I was given the warning that it feels like a rubberband being flicked against the skin, which I'd say is a pretty accurate description. I won't lie, it hurt but definitely nothing unbearable. And the good news is that the whole procedure only lasts a few minutes (well, for underarms. Something like getting your legs done would probably be 20+ minutes. I would suggest NOT to start out with a big area!). I just had my second (out of three) appointments today. From the time I walked in, I was in and out in under 10 minutes and this time, I'd only rate the pain at a 2. Appointments are spaced a month apart to allow for the new hair growth cycle and after that initial appointment, I've barely had to shave. It's been glorious! The best part is that once you buy your first Groupon, they offer Groupon prices for anything else you want to get done after that. And now I already have a mental tally of everything in order that I'm planning to laser. I'm not going to go the Kim Kardashian route and become completely hairless or anything like that but to not have to shave my legs or underarms ever again?! Girls, you know what I'm talking about!
