I tore a pretty big hole in my favorite motorcycle pants in a low-speed crash. The tear was right along the middle seam of the butt and I thought they were done for. I took them in to The Fairytailors, who determined that with enough fabric, they could create a patch to reinforce the entire area. I sourced some fabric online and brought it all in for the work to be done. 2-weeks later, I picked my pants-- ready to be ridden again! The fabric wasn't a perfect match for color, but it was the best I could find with the sturdiness to match the original fabric. The workmanship of The Fairytailors is top-notch. The patch is perfectly symmetrical and the stitching will surely put up with hard riding. The consultation was well explained and presented me with a few options. The patch fix was the option that would be both the strongest and would preserve the best fit and articulation when worn. She also reinforced the velcro that had begun separating at the pocket flaps and on the pant leg openings. Price was incredibly affordable! As an alternative, replacing these pants with a comparable new pair would have cost me at least 5x as much. 10/10 would recommend The Fairytailors! read more

Absolutely come here if you need your pants hemmed or a skirt taken in or redone. I specifically needed a skirt to have the elastic taken off & a zipper put in; Natasha delivered she took off the elastic, sewed on a top piece of matching fabric, put in a zipper & walla my skirt was wearable again. Thus far the quality looks top notch . She is a tad pricey, but i feel she was well worth the price given both items I left her came back looking superb. I'll be back. read more

Natalya is one of the best tailors in the industry. My background is clothing production and I have worked with many top notch clothing tech designers. She is one of the best! She understands the fit I want, fixes anything that is not quite right, and her work is professional and quality is well done. She has done simple and very complicated suit jacket alterations for my husband. With that being said, make sure to give her ample time to make your alterations. She can do quick turn arounds as well, but she is well sought after and usually has a packed schedule, so I try to plan ahead. Things to note: Cash only, doesn't open till 11am. I had written a 5 star review for FairyTailor in 2018. However, my recent experiences were so disappointing I've dropped to 2 stars and I won't go back to this business. I dropped off several items in early December 2023 that Natashya the owner said would be ready in two weeks (by Dec 14). These included a men's dinner jacket and vest, 2 pairs women's pants, exercise clothes, a patch and a sun hat. I left a vm message midweek to confirm the items would be ready. No return call. I showed up to retrieve the clothes during her regular hours, and the shop was closed. I called again (no answer) and had to leave another message to ask when she would be open. No return call. I showed up again to learn the shop was closed until January. What??? I wanted the dinner jacket for Christmas, so this was super annoying. My spouse went back in early January to get our clothes. I had texted with Natashya earlier in the week to ensure she would be open. When my spouse showed up, the clothes were not done! Natashya laughed and tried to joke. It wasn't funny - Why didn't she tell me when I texted her, so my spouse could avoid another wasted trip? Over the next several days, I tried to call a couple more times to see if the items were ready, but no answer. When I finally picked up the clothes, the quality of some repairs was poor. See photos. I usually only write reviews to praise a business, but the bad experience we had here has gone way past any expectation. The dress that my wife brought to Natasha was size 12 and my wife wears size 4. When my wife went to pick up her dress, it was too small! Instead of acknowledging her mistake and trying to see what can be done to fix it because we all make mistakes, Natasha chose to raise her voice and fat shame. The lady has no problem raising her voice at my mother in law who is older than her and telling my wife that she's the one who gained weight. And she forced us to pay in order to fix her mistake. It's shocking to see an aggressive behavior like this towards people who are polite. She might have thought that we will charge her the full price of the dress or something. If you make big mistakes like that, or lack talent, at least have good manners and customer service to compensate for it! read more

I needed some fancy sparkly pants from Amazon altered in a hurry for a special event. I called Fairytailors to see if she could get me in and have them done in a few days. She said she could, so I brought them in. When I tried on the pants, the seamstress knew exactly what needed to be done to get the desired fit. She gave great suggestions. The pants were taken in at the front, and the bottom hem was let out to make them longer. The finished result was just what I was hoping for. I'm so glad I took my sparkle pants to fairytailors. She was frustrated with my question and gave me a little bit of attitude while saying she couldn't provide that info without more details. I understood where she was coming from initially but then at the end of the phone call I asked her to repeat her personal number so I could write it down. She gave the biggest sigh then said "can you just hurry up I'm with a customer" repeated the number once very quickly then immediately hung up on me. This is the worst experience i have ever had! Natasha is very rude and aggressive. Not only did she mishandle my dress and engage in body-shaming behavior, but she also displayed highly unprofessional conduct, using inappropriate language that included commenting on my weight. I had an expensive Jovani dresses that needed to be hemmed and tightened! When i tried the dress, the hemming was off and the dress was extremely tight! And her explanation was that i gained weight. The dress i gave her was size 12 and my size is 4 so im not sure how i could gain 50lbs in 2 weeks. When i asked her to fix her mistake she was super aggressive and scary. She was very loud and didn't own her mistake. She kept asking for more money to fix her mistake after i paid 196$ in the first place. Avoid this place at all costs! Seek a tailor that has a good reputation and trust them with your fabric! This place is not worth it. All the good reviews are for Natalia not Natasha and Natalia doesn't work there anymore! I felt threatened and bullied at that place. I got scared to the point i sent my husband to pick up the dress from her. That was super easy. I have a linen jumpsuit and trying to show my niece a cart wheel and ripped it bad. I was going to hand stitch it but then I realized it's not gonna be as good as if I had a machine, so I found Fairytalor's on yelp! Cute name right? this is the worst place I've ever been to. I usually don't write reviews, but this is needed. I took a pair of pants for her to 'take it in' (make smaller) when I tried the pants on and told her what I wanted, she then gavE me her opinion, which at first was fine, but things got uncomfortable when I tried to tell her the pants is gonna be too big if you don't take it in some more. she then proceed to tell me that I need to be confident in my self and learn how to be comfortable in MY BODY. Honestly this should have been enough for me to leave but I needed my pants fixed urgently for school, and I trusted she knew what she was doing. The day I went to pick up the pants I tried it on and like I told her a few days back,the pants was big. she didn't want to fix it, by that time I was over it. READY to leave. It cost $49.50 to hem 2 jeans and 1 dress pants. The only pair that came out wearable was the dress pants. I now have to cut the jeans to the length of my choosing. It literally cost more money to hem the jeans then what they were actually worth. I made a mistake coming here because it was $2 cheaper then the competition up the road. I highly suggest you not to be rushed like I was. The lady wouldn't even measure the pants on me but I had the length of what it should have been which it didn't come out. read more

AWESOME!! My daughters dance competition season kicked off last Saturday - two days AFTER her costume arrived at the studio. And, about three sizes too big. Because I am sewing challenged, I immediately freaked out. I still had to rhinestone the costume and had no time to waste. With a wave of his magic wand - my husband found The Fairy Tailors!! We showed up on Thursday evening, they had my daughters costume sewn to sweet perfection within an hour and a half! Natalya (and staff) was friendly and professional - and they did not even charge for the rush job they did! I am happy to know that i can put my glue gun and safety pins away, and bring everything sewing related to these wonderful women! The Fairytailors actually lived up to their magical name for me. The ribbon binding on my daughter's blanket had frayed beyond repair, and the manufacturer no longer makes them in that color. They do, however, make them with a similar binding, so I had one on hand just in case. When "in case" happened and my inconsolable 3 year old told me that Dot needed to go to the doctor, I brought the old and new blankets to the Fairytailors. I said, "this is kind of an emergency. How fast can you replace this binding with the other? Money is no object." (I would have made it an object at $50, lol, but seriously, who wants to listen to a broken-hearted 3 year old cry all night if you don't have to? I can cut out Starbucks for a few weeks to avoid that.) Dot was repaired PERFECTLY within 3 hours, and the charge was $18. Um, rush order on a priceless object? SWEET. She was a little terse/flustered, but she did quality work, on demand, EXACTLY as I asked, in less time than I expected, for less than half the price I was willing to pay. I have since taken several things in (jeans hemmed, dress taken in at waist, some stuff for my husband), and the quality of work is consistently awesome. It sucks that others have had bad experiences and/or felt that the service was under par. Yes, I have had to wait a couple of minutes after I walk in before someone comes to help me. But this is CLEARLY because they are actually um, altering things. The work room is visible immediately inside the store, and the sewing machines are hard at work every time I come in. When I give someone my expensive clothing to alter, I sure hope they don't stop and start mid-seam so they can take new jobs. The customer contact portion of a tailor's job isn't nearly as important as the quality of work they provide. I can wait 45 seconds. read more

I went in for alteration after reading previous reviews. Alteration for jeans is expensive.... $16.50 and takes 4 days. When I asked the lady to give me an estimate for draperies, she got annoyed. She went on about how she could not do that. Even when I said I would provide the measurement and bring the fabric to show her. She said it's like me telling her to go a supermarket and get a bread... which one? which kind of bread? It was my first time trying to get a work done for window covering. I had hoped that she could provide samples work, etc. She did not have to be that rude to me. She's no fairy... she's scary. If I could give 0 stars, I would. They committed fraud and stole from me. About a year ago, I was leaving on a trip and wanted to take this tunic/shirt which was too long for me. Since Fairy Tailors were next to my nail place, I went there and asked if they could shorten the shirt/tunic about 2 inches TODAY. They said yes, it would cost $20 and return in 2 hours. After my nail appointment, I returned although only 1 hour had elapsed, but they had my shirt/tunic ready! It was already in a plastic bag. When I saw the finish, I commented on how perfect it looked. I asked to see how much of the material they had taken off and the lady with an accent said "Oh, I threw it away. Did you want it?" I said "I guess not." Took it home and packed it, but when I tried to wear it, I realized they had done NOTHING. The shirt/tunic was the same length. They took my $20 and did no work. They are thieves. I thought of going back and confront them but realized they would deny everything. This has bothered me all this time. If they did it to me, they are doing it to others.
