The parking lots are usually pretty full, but you almost never have to wait in a long line at checkout. They are one of the few stores that actually utilize having multiple checkout lanes by having them manned and open. The management have been great to work with when there was a minor incident in the parking lot. The ladies in the bakery are really sweet and offer my kids sugar cookies. We love this Kroger because they have the shopping carts with the holders for car seats, and the store is always cleaner than the ones in Louisville. A guy (his name was Anthony, long beard, with a piercing) was so so helpful to me the other day while I was trying to pick out cheeses for a specific event. He seemed very knowledgeable and was willing to come over and help me figure out what I needed without me even having to flag someone down. I have never gotten expired or rotten food here like I have at the Walmart in town, and with the exception of food recalls, my in-season produce is always in stock and easy to find.

The BBQ was outstanding. The brisket had a beautiful smoke ring, was incredibly juicy, and had the perfect bark. The ribs were exactly how I like them--tender with a slightly sweet, sticky sauce that complemented the meat instead of overpowering it. The macaroni and cheese was good, but honestly, I'd make the drive again just for the BBQ. We've tried BBQ all over the Louisville area, and B & N Food Market is now our favorite. As I have gotten older sometimes convenience out weighs going to the store and facing the frustrations of no electric scooter carts available or the store being out of what I intended to buy. My successful change has been enrolling in the Walmart Plus program and shopping at home online from my local store at Walmart.com The advantages of shopping this way: I place an order online and have the delivery made directly to my door. I don't have to search the store for hard to locate items, the Walmart employer has the tool to find each item. If they were out of the item it gets shipped to me for no extra fee and arrives within several days. The disadvantages of shopping on Walmart.com: I never order perishable items such as meat or produce. Occasionally the employee pulls the wrong item, i.e. can fruit in fruit juice vs .can fruit sugar free but returns are welcome at the Service desk in the store if I really care about the error. I still shop in person in the garden center, or produce but shopping online has saved me alot of gas,time,and frustration.

I once saw them put milk out for clearance on regular unrefrigerated shelves... the produce, and meat always looks meh. If a product bursts in shipping, they don't take time to wipe down the surrounding products and will just place spoiled food covered products on the shelves. I just haven't been impressed.

I have passed by this old Convenient Food Mart store many times but finally made this stop after a recommendation by a close friend who is a big "foodie!" I knew a Meatloaf sandwich was going to be on the list so I went directly to the counter to pick one up, I also picked up a country ham sandwich and bottled water to eat in the front seat of my truck (there were no open seats available inside due to the local crowd occupying all the tables and seating), they were very busy. There was plenty of help, everybody was very helpful and friendly. The steam table had plenty of options for lunch or you can choose to have a deli sandwich made but the Meatloaf is piled high in a bun and it packs all the flavor you expect from a farmhouse kitchen table! I will be back soon and make this a regular lunch stop to try some of there other menu items when I am working in Shelbyville again!

There is also ongoing construction on Mt Eden Road that makes both entrance and exit from this station difficult. The only thing that is under control of Circle K is the cleanliness the station. I'm not sure if this has suffered because the number of employees has been decreased due to slow business or if it is not a priority but it still counts in my book. I have found other stations that are more convenient, lower priced, easier to get in and out of to give my business to.
