THAT WAS FUN! Had my…read moreone and only taste of the Napa Farmers Market, and it is thee place to be on Saturday Morning. Tons of parking, tons of vendors, tons of yummy food! Since I'm passing thru Napa, I didn't buy any "produce", as I will be on flying, and that doesn't make sense. However, I was able to taste and try many of the food vendors present. First off, OHM Coffee. As it was 83 degrees, I didn't want anything hot --- I opted for the Iced Matcha Latte. It was delicious! Nothing that made it "stand out", but I know a good Iced Matcha when I taste one --- definitely started my rounds around the market right! For breakfast, I've been craving a good breakfast burrito and found the vendor, "Earth's Bounty". It was a bit of a healthier take on the chorizo and potatoes --- they swapped it out for bacon and roasted veg. which included zucchini and sweet potatoes --- but I was pleasantly surprised! I devoured the whole thing!! The tortilla was warmed perfectly, and the melted cheese that crisped up on the grill made it EXCELLENT! To top it off, I visited a stand selling "MAUI STYLE POTATO CHIPS", helmed by the most friendly woman, named Sara. She was so awesome, and let me sample whatever I wanted. Needless to say, I purchased 3 bags of chips for $27. If bought individually, it would be $10 per bag. Such a great market to visit whenever your in Napa! 10/10!

I started buying Rancho Gordo beans online and they were the best beans I've ever had. Beans I have never seen or heard of before. A whole new world was discovered. Their website is beautiful to look at and informative. I also bought their bean cookbook. I subscribed to their emails and recently got the important news that their new store opened on Main Street and only a few blocks away from the Napa farmer's market. The store is very modern with wood floors, large windows and lots of light. They don't carry all the beans online but they do carry a good amount. I got some special black beans (Frigik Negro de Vara), very pretty green split peas and a new rare variety that goes bad fast (Flor De Junio bean) and a special fresh tumeric spice (see photos). I'm excited to try the new items. It is nice that they have dried Porcini mushrooms and morel mushrooms you can use in their bean soup. The porcini mushrooms are the brand that Rancho Gordo recommends and you can get 1.43 Oz for $19. They have interesting high quality spices and I bought a tumeric. They had samples of cooked beans. The ladies were friendly at the counter. I'm definitely returning to get more products!

As for the store front I really liked the way they have the shop decorated and how they have their products on display. When i was there they had some really nice mellow latin music playing and were selling fresh tortillas so the shop smelt really good. While the selection can be a bit intimidating they have people that can answer your questions while you look. For example i explained the beans and lentils i liked and they were able to recommend the Heirloom equivalent. Also they have recipes for many the different beans & lentils as well. Overall was a very fun trip to visit the store front and cant wait to go back the next time im in Napa.

You might get lucky in the parking lot, but I'd suggest street parking. If you're looking for some food items, they do have artisan bread, produce, honey, and smoothies. CBD, botanicals and craft items were also featured. On our visit there were no made to order or cooked fresh items offered here, for that, you'll have to go into the deli. There is clear signage for parking, but it wasn't clear right off the bat where the shop entrance was so it was so nice to be greeted and taken around by the staffer! I am horrible for not remembering her name, but she was lovely and very informative. We had a memorable stop here because of her :) The shop is small but cute. I really loved their strawberry lavender lemonade and shortbread thumbprint cookies! The cookies have a strawberry lavender jam center. The lemonade had a great balance of flavor and is so refreshing on a hot day. Turns out we visited when most of the lavender was harvested. I will try to make it back again next time in May or June so I can catch a glimpse of the lavender farm when it's full! It was cool to learn that there were many varieties including white lavender. There was still a section with plenty of purple lavender where we got to take some pictures and my friend trimmed her own little bouquet of lavender for her mom. I highly recommend visiting this farm if you're in the area.
