Great biscuits and atmosphere to match service was very friendly and fast sat out on the patio and had a great Saturday breakfast, The farmer biscuit was really tasty

Nice little spot in the heart of Athens, Georgia. Food was delicious, unfortunately I don't get a chance to take any pictures of the food. But I got one of the drink lol. The service was friendly and nice. And Really enjoyed the outdoors seating as well.

Low gluten oat bread for my "staple" order

Delicious breakfast spot with good biscuits and good coffee. Order at the register then grab a spot. They have menus at the back and front of the line, daily drink and food specials on the board close to the register. They give you a mason jar for a cup too. Friendly service and they bus the tables for you. They have a low gluten oat bread so I enjoyed mine. It was like sandwich bread so can't compare to a biscuit, but my tummy was thankful for the option. My friend enjoyed the gravy train and raved about it.

Coconut cinnamon latte??? I don't remember what it was called but it is delicious!!! I'd come by just for this!!!

This coffee....OMG! First cinnamon, then strong coconut, then .....so yummy! I got it iced. This isn't our first visit. We come probably every 4 months or so. Food was great! Plentiful and hot as usual! Only thing we would prefer is seasoning. A lil more seasoning in the very light and crispy batter on the chicken. A lil seasoning, not just salt, on the home fries, which are amazing! And a beef or chicken sausage or beef or turkey bacon option would be great for those that don't eat pork or soy. Lol beggars lol Staff is always helpful, informative and kind.

Absolutely DELIGHTFUL! Everything was so good! Service was great, atmosphere is clean and quaint. Loved their Shuga Bites! Probably the best biscuits ive ever had and their sausage gravy is great too! My daughter got Fire Bird chicken buscuit with honey siracha... The sweet heat on the perfectly cooked chicken biscuit was DIVINE! 10/10 RECOMMEND

The flavor here is spectacular, and I'm starting with the biscuit because it absolutely deserves it. The biscuit alone is one of the best I've had -- and I don't say that lightly. It's fluffy on the inside, has a slight crunch on the outside, and is packed with flavor all on its own. I could genuinely eat these biscuits by themselves every day. No chicken, no toppings -- just the biscuit. That's how good it is. I've had a lot of great biscuits lately, but this one is no joke. People need to stop by here because this place is doing something special. Portion sizes are solid across the board. This is not a small biscuit -- it's hefty and filling. The sides are also a good size. Whether you go with the grits or the homemade fries, you won't be left wanting more. I ordered the Fire Bird with a side of pimento cheese grits. The heat level is very manageable. It's flavorful, not spicy-for-the-sake-of-spicy. I added both the sriracha mayo and the sriracha honey, and they added great flavor with just a little kick. For anyone worried about heat: you can order this with confidence. It's not going to burn your mouth. And for those who know me -- I'm not a spicy guy -- this was completely enjoyable. My wife ordered the Veggie sandwich, which comes on that same incredible biscuit with egg, arugula, avocado, and an aioli-style spread. Everything worked really well together, and it didn't feel like a "backup" menu option at all. It's fresh, balanced, and very satisfying -- a great choice if you want something lighter but still full of flavor. The pimento cheese grits were good, but I personally would go with the homemade fries next time. And when I say fries, I mean homemade fries -- crunchy, seasoned perfectly, and packed with flavor. I could easily order two or three sides of these every visit. We also grabbed the cinnamon bun, which is made fresh every Sunday morning, and I'm glad we happened to stop by on a Sunday. It was excellent. The glaze is hard to describe -- creamy, smooth, and perfectly balanced. Not overly sweet, just right. They make a killer cinnamon bun. The vibe is friendly and welcoming. Staff was extremely nice, and service was quick -- there was barely any wait when we visited. Inside seating is clean and comfortable, and there's also outdoor seating available. Prices felt very fair for the quality and portion sizes. You absolutely get your value here. The only thing to be aware of is parking. There appear to be only one or two spots right near the cart, so you may need to park across the street, especially if it's busy. I didn't experience issues during my visit, but it's something to plan for. Overall, this place is doing it right. The menu looks like a lot of fun, and I already know I'll be back multiple times just to try more of it. Highly recommended.

Me and the girlfriend decided to try something new. The Farmcart did not disappoint. The ambiance is super cute, clean and a unique esthetic. The service was WONDERFUL. They were attentive to every question we had and gave great suggestions. The food? Bomb!!! The biscuits are made with King Arthur flour and it can't get any better than that. They have Boylan sodas (such a rare find!) Overall this is a 10 out of 10 in my book. Will be back.

Delicious food, great ambiance. We sat on the patio and had breakfast on a quick weekend trip to Athens. The line was long but it moved quick. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Definitely a must visit!

Turmeric ginger chai, the June bug, home fries, rishi tea, and the veggie

This is my first time coming here and I'm already excited for my next visit! My partner and I are visiting from out of state. We ordered the junebug, the veggie, home fries, rishi hot tea, and a turmeric ginger chai latte. Everything was so flavorful and filling. My partner even admitted that he doesn't normally like biscuits, but he absolutely devoured his plate! 10/10 would recommend!

    Breakfast Plate

Breakfast plate is very good and fairly priced. There is a current up charge on eggs due to prices. Servers are very nice but also very loud. My only complaint is the matcha. It was a bit underwhelming and not very rich. I was hopeful that a place with a full selection cafe would have good quality matcha. But the meal was great.

    Jeff A.

Gotta say this is a gem of a place with super friendly staff, awesome service, tasty unique biscuit / sandwiches at a fair prices. Even had an opportunity to visit and chat with the grill master as we chatted about the magic of grilling. If you like supporting small and local hardworking businesses be sure to check out the Farm Cart.

They got a table ready for a party of 6 pretty quickly which was great! They have two dining areas inside and outside seating available. I ordered the peach french toast with potatoes, another person ordered the cinnamon roll to start and the a biscuit with gravy. My husband ordered the pulled pork bowl on grits and a side of fried chicken . The kids had french toast with fruit. My potatoes I can tell were from a bag and not fresh cut potatoes. They were tiny and probably what you can purchase at the grocery store, so they were crunch and hard to eat. The french toast didn't have the best taste, and the peaches seemed canned. Presentation was nice but I wouldn't order that again. My husband did not enjoy his pulled pork bowl either, he said it lacked a bit of flavor. The cinnamon roll was a little hard like it had been sitting for a bit. Now for the good, the fried chicken was some of the best chicken I had tasted so whatever is being done there keep it up! The biscuits with the jam available on the table were amazing! The kids enjoyed their kids meal as well. If in Athens again we would definitely get the chicken and biscuit but skip the other items we previously ordered.

The food: I went with the Fried Chicken Blue Plate. Between the regular and the Nashville Hot, the Nashville was the winner--flavorful and moist without being overwhelming with the spice. Huge shoutout to my server for suggesting the brussel sprouts; that glaze is incredible and they were easily my favorite part of the plate. The mashed sweet potatoes were unique--I'm still debating if I liked them or loved them. The jalapeño cornbread was a bit sweet for my taste but on par with most restaurant cornbread. The mac & cheese wasn't bad, but also didn't do much for me like most restaurant mac & cheese. The cocktail: Do not sleep on Nana's Naissance. I wasn't sure what to expect from the ingredients, but it's like an elevated take on Rumchata. The service: I was seated at the bar and experienced a noticeable delay--a group that arrived well after me almost finished their meal before mine arrived. However, the waitress acknowledged the wait before I even had to mention it and made things right. I really appreciate that kind of proactive service. We're all human, and they handled the situation very professionally.

I do that sometimes when I just can't decide but I pay for it for about a week. I don't try to do that anymore. lol I did notice many similarities so the sweet gluten must be what is good there. I consider all that processed sugar and the gluten filled garbage GMO flours to be horrible for our bodies. That happens as you learn how these foods actually affect your body and DIS-EASE! Now, I am weeding out the restaurants I will no longer eat at. If you don't care about the wellbeing of your customer's health, then you only care about $$$! I will no longer be eating at establishments that don't use quality ingredients and will focus more on Mom & Pop Locally owned places that do! These businesses need to do better so we aren't constantly sick and medicated beings! They have brainwashed us to eating garbage that other countries do not allow! The ONLY positive thing I can say is the hostess was on point! She was constantly working, bouncing around, handling things, completely pleasant with a smile on her face. She is the reason for 2* and not 1. She was the only 1! I'm only giving a description of her so she is recognized because I do not know her name. Cute dark skinned woman with her hair pulled back with a head band/wrap. She deserves a raise and employee of the month! Everyone else seemed pissy or too concerned with whatever gossip they had to chat about. Waitress literally said, "They just consider it gluten friendly by taking the bread off". Not even grits or potatoes are listed as "GF". Manager came out to explain why grits weren't GF. Idk why they try to appear "healthy". They offer alternatives to pork, but that's about it. Manager said the grits company doesn't claim to be GF so therefore they don't. Well, if the company isn't claiming it, they are most likely using the cheapest of the cheap GMO'd corn! Obviously, just my opinion, but I'm so tired of these restaurants charging so much for garbage food. Waitress is extremely pleasant! lol That is sarcasm for anyone not tracking. Brought the hubs unsweet tea when he ordered sweet! Lol Asked if we were ready to order 3x in less than 5 min while our heads were still down staring at the menus. Then, when we were ready, she was taking money for a guy at the bar, serving another table a beverage, and serving another table their food, while 3 other employees stood around a cleaning station chatting. An elderly gentleman and his caregiver came in but the hostess was outside for some reason. He sat himself at a dirty table. They ignored him until he started waving his arm at staff. I saw the interaction prior. 1 employee saw what he had done and told the others but they ignored the dirty table and the people until he got agitated. Then, they moved him to the table behind him, that they did clean while he was sitting there waiting to be acknowledged. We needed a quick bite in between Dr appts. I wish we had driven a bit further rather than coming here. I'm not hopeful for the cheese grits with turkey bacon I selected because nothing else was appealing and wouldn't destroy my stomach. Guess I'll deal with inflammation today from the gmo corn. The hubs got an egg and cheese biscuit. She didn't ask him how he wanted his eggs cooked or what kind of cheese. It's a mystery what he will get lol. Yes! I am writing this while sitting here! lol It's been 10+ minutes since the old man moved tables and the table he sat at is STILL dirty with dishes. Waitress just came to inform us, after waiting 20 minutes already, that they put pork bacon in my grits so it's going to be a few more minutes. I'm confused??? Why is my husband's food not being brought out? That means his is sitting back there waiting on my GRITS! Come on! 5 more minutes and the results???? Absolutely the most disgusting thing I've ever seen brought out. Check out the picture! lol what on earth is that even? Tasted like generic cheese soup dumped on top of a tiny bowl of semi good grits with half a slice of bacon cut up in it. They called that "Loaded" grits. Lol It was disgusting and those grits are NOT creamy or dreamy! They are so cheap they don't even get the GF tag. lol The hubs biscuit was horribly dry, so little egg you couldn't see it, and the "moon dusted" potatoes tasted like yesterday's home fries, with no dusting or even salt. Quite literally the worst food and service I have seen in a long time! Watched 2 servers NOT sit a family with a girl on crutches, waiting for the hostess to finish dealing with a to-go order. It was like no one helps anyone in there and the customer is last on the priority list!

Nah, these "little pitchers" are paloma-like Jalicesense cocktails served in little clay cups called "cantaritos." Regrettably, I've never tried one. Anyway, in a town that (IMO) has been going downhill for a while when it comes to dining, the modest pan-Latin Cantaritos Cafe is one of the better restaurants to open in Athens post-COVID. In my experience, they've done a great job with everything: breakfast burrito, a Venezuelan (I think?) breakfast sandwich of some sort, massive heavy (a little too heavy, maybe) arepas, all terrific. The menu is huge. Prices have been reasonable, but it's been a few months since I was there. P.S. The review immediately preceding mine chronologically is a disgrace: "I love this place," but one star because a single employee on a single occasion didn't adequately kiss her pinkie ring? There are potentially myriad valid reasons why that employee was unable to serve that entitled Yelper.
