Checked out The Fat Greek for a quick afternoon bite. The restaurant has a small seating area with 3 booths and few bar stools for independent seating. Plenty of metered street parking in and around. The service was prompt and the food delicious. We ordered the lamb and steak gyro paired with Greek soda. The gyro came with few flavorful fries and the meat was well cooked yet moist. The Greek soda (pink lemonade) was delicious but quite sweet for my liking. Only negative was that when asked for spicy sauce they gave me a spoonful of siracha and charged me $2 for it!

1st time here and it was great. I got the skinny greek gyro and it was huge (I made a mess of myself eating it..haha) I don't love tzatziki sauce in general but theirs was really good. I would def go back

I went to order pizza, French fries, onion rings. The only thing that went bad, I had to wait a longer than usual time. (30minutes). My wait was only because they made a small error on my original order, and had to redo it. But, let me tell you, their service was awesome. The service was awesome, and you could tell that they were upset that they made me wait. I then requested that they make my fries and onion rings again, since they were sitting on the counter for 15 minutes. They remade them and I was happy. When I tried the pizza, an XL pepperoni with sausage, it was awesome. Loved it. Onion rings were also good. And, I'm very picky when it comes to onion rings. It was not my first choice, but I am very pleased that I ended up there. Well worth the wait. The place is always clean also. Thank you.

I will never ever order from any of those stores again! The food used to taste much better and the service sucks. Came across a video of their chicken schwarma wrap and decided to gove it shot and i tell you $18 wrap had me fumming at myself but the wrap was amazing and size nice as well and not those tinny tiny ones. While waiting for falafels i was munching on the wrap and it was so good. Grilled with sauce and sesame seeds and all I took the falafels but they were so fresh and hot that i had to try them in the car and they were most unique tasting in good way and were really amazing. This is my husband's favorite handheld in the area. He doesn't like pickles but he likes it in the wrap! The service is very friendly, and they also sell some baklava. Mostly street parking (or as I said make-your-own street parking). For me personally the French fries make the wrap a little too heavy - don't get me wrong, it's still delicious but I might try getting a different wrap and asking for the habibi sauce on the outside to see if it's more balanced for me. The sleeper hit was the 1/2 chicken - completely butterflied and roasted in a crazy flavorful spice mix and served on top of French fries and pita with toum inside (plus a side of toum and habibi). It's like a deconstruction special wrap, but the chicken is insane and way better than the chunks. Highly recommend if you're looking for something different! There's only three seats inside so not great for dine-in, but when they said we were eating inside, they offered to cut our wrap in half and served it on two paper plates with napkins plus a little stick of gum for afterwards! I thought that was such a thoughtful touch!

For dessert they surprised me with a birthday slice of carrot cake, which was the perfect sweet ending. The space is beautifully decorated with floral aesthetics and a bright, welcoming atmosphere. There's even a real London red phone booth outside the entrance, and we each got a cute red phone booth keychain to take home, which was such a fun touch. For drinks, my friends tried the special martinis while I had the raspberry fizz, which was super refreshing and perfect for welcoming the spring season. The food was fantastic and the service was friendly and attentive. There's also plenty of parking, which is always a plus. The only tiny con was the music overhead was a bit loud... let's just say at one point our table conversation sounded more like we were at an indoor concert than having lunch. Another small downside was the bathroom situation--there seemed to be only one or two stalls for men and women, so there was a bit of a wait Overall, it was a wonderful birthday spot!

About a year later, I found myself craving authentic Mediterranean food again, so I started searching for restaurants around New Hampshire. That's when I came across Ayasofia. As I looked through the menu and photos, everything seemed so familiar--it reminded me of the dishes I had loved at Mediterrano. The next day, my husband and I decided to drive an hour to Salem to try it out, and it was completely worth it. After speaking with the owner, we learned that Mediterrano had actually been owned by a member of his family and that they use the same recipes. It all made perfect sense! The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, even encouraging us to return and meet his mother, who taught him these recipes. I highly recommend the hummus, baba ghanoush, salsa, and grape leaves--they're all fantastic. Be sure to order the lavash bread on the side, as it pairs perfectly with everything. For a main course, the adana lamb kebab is a must-try. Everything tastes incredibly fresh and full of flavor. I only wish I could cook like this--I'd happily eat Mediterranean food every single day!

The friendly staff member took my order and after a short wait, I was given a neatly packaged small shopping bag. I appreciated the disposable plates and utensils that were included without my asking, and am always iffy about eating on the go. I am not a fan of messy so there is that haha.
