    Small Chicken Parm Sub
    Sandy D.

Heard all the hype about Brando's so just had to check it out. We went on a weekday around lunch time. Small place with 6-8 tables to eat in. We took ours to go. While we were there a gentleman was eating ziti and sauce and was saying how good it was. We ordered a small Chicken Parmesan sub. I am not wild about Chicken Parm so thought I would have a couple bites to try out. I asked for extra sauce before we left and got a small container (something like ketchup would come in) at no charge. When we opened it at home it was a bit shriveled but expected that. The sandwich was fried chicken cutlets, sauce and cheese. We got a regular roll instead of the seeded. All in all, it was OK...a sub. We were not crazy over the taste of the coating. A small sub is about 12 inches and I have heard the large is 24 inches. Most subs are $15.99 to $18.99 for small size, and $21.99 to $27.99 for the large. Can't say how much meat is in the cold cut subs. The Veal Parm is $23.99 for a small and $28.99 for a large. Haven't tried the veal so not sure how tender it is. I haven't tried anything else as I have not been back since, but they do have pasta and other type subs. Not sure why they don't have a website...

I was in the area and had heard so many good things about Brandi's that I just had to try it. The place is immaculate, you can tell the owner loves this place. The menu is small, which I think is great. Do a few things really well instead of a ton of things average. I ordered a small chicken parm sandwich on a seeded roll. It can out in a very reasonable amount of time. The small was huge and looked amazing. I wasn't overly impressed by the taste. The sauce was kind of blah and the cutlets didn't have a ton of flavor either. I need to go back and try some of the other dishes and maybe a plain cutlet to really taste it. Props to the owner who was sitting near the tables and talking to everyone in the restaurant. I will always support a restaurant with an owner like this.

Huge chicken cutlet based subs with a few Italians., pastas also, a few desserts. A fee tables to sit down. But most people were taking it to go. Price reflected the Huge sizes. Smalls $19, larges $23. Wait time was almost 45 minutes. We thought they lost our order but they didn't. They were busy but people who came in after us were leaving.

Brando's Cutlets recently opened in Haverhill on Broadway, close to I-495. Brando's serves up fresh Italian cutlet sandwiches, soups, pasta dishes, salads, and some grab and go rice balls in a hot case. I stopped in for lunch and the place was already very busy. It is moistly take out but there are some tables inside to in house dining. Sandwiches are VERY large - even the small sizes. I had a chicken cutlet sandwich that came with prosciutto, carmelized onions, cheese, arugla and a balsamic glaze. It came on a choice of bread (seeded or non). The sandwich was ready in about 15 minutes. It was very fresh and good quality. I was only able to eat half-and saved the other for later. Service was nice and pleasant. The restaurant is wheelchair accessable-with accessable bathroom, however a wheelchair could not be able to pass down the hallway to the barthoom, due to a large chest freezer in the way. I hope to stop by again soon and try out more menu options. I really just want to taste a cutlet naked or with just sauice and cheese so I can rate just the cutlet it self. I will report back.

The sprouts were just right and managed to avoid the overly chewy texture a brussel sprout salad can sometimes have. The whole thing was creamy yet light and the cashew flavor was fantastic. This is a new favorite salad. I'd been eying their street carrots for a while. I believe they used to have a Moroccan version I missed but the Argentinian ones they have now with chimichurri sauce were awesome - warm and comforting. The Thai style noodles had a great combo of ingredients, though the noodles were a smidge al dente for my taste and I prefer a less tart sauce. I did love the combination of tofu and peanuts. I hope to try more things on the menu, especially the KFC (cauliflower sandwich) I keep hearing about. I will probably have to repeat that brussel sprout salad every time though! The seating was surprisingly generous - both a table section and a large window counter area. You order at the counter and there is a convenient self service water area. They brought out our order quite quickly to where we were sitting and the self bussing was easy. There is also a grab and go cooler section with meals, sides, cookies and drinks. Truly a great find - and so nice to leave a place feeling you ate healthy!

We have sat at the bar and the 2 bartenders are great. Very attentive and they make a good drink. Tonight we opted for a booth. Most if the patrons were at the bar. Ordered french onion soup, beef stout soup, pizza and Turkey sandwich. It took 35 minutes for the soup to come out and it was lukewarm warm. Beef soup he said had good flavor. Turkey sandwich was not what I expected and IMO not good. I only ate a few bites. Had to ask for the side of gravy. It clearly had been sitting there as it was congealed on top. Owner comped the pizza which was eaten ironically. It's very loud . Not a lot of ambiance. I will be surprised if they aren't just a bar in 2 years, as there are Better food options in town

The prices are moderate. The bar offers bottle beers, seltzers, and wine. After hearing how busy this place has been this grand opening week, I stopped by for late evening eats. I got here around 8:52pm when it wasn't busy and took a seat up at the bar. The bartender gave me a food menu and informed me the kitchen would be closing in 5 minutes. Since I already looked over the menu before heading over, I immediately ordered the Chicken Cacciatore with Spaghetti ($21 plus tax) and a Side Salad ($4 plus tax) with an ice water. The food came out together 10 minutes later. The portions of food were respectable. The side salad was pretty basic with iceberg lettuce, tomato slices, red onions, and a big side of dressing (I got chunky bleu cheese). The chicken cacciatore had a mix of tender pieces of boneless chicken, sauteed peppers & onions, tomato sauce, parmesan cheese, and al dente cooked spaghetti. I was also told that they ran out of garlic bread earlier after asking. Anyways, the chicken cacciatore dish was very good with zesty flavors and I finished the whole plate. The check was already printed out ahead of time, which was $26.75 (cash)/$27.82 (card) with tax and before tip. I finished my ice water, left cash with tip included and headed out. Overall, my food tasted pretty good and I would come back here for dinner to try the other things on the menu like the fish & chips, supreme pizza, and the hot subs with fries.
