Came across a video of their chicken schwarma wrap and decided to gove it shot and i tell you $18 wrap had me fumming at myself but the wrap was amazing and size nice as well and not those tinny tiny ones. While waiting i asked if they kept falafels as was not on menu and he is like sure so i ordered some since my wife loves them. While waiting for falafels i was munching on the wrap and it was so good. Grilled with sauce and sesame seeds and all I took the falafels but they were so fresh and hot that i had to try them in the car and they were most unique tasting in good way and were really amazing. I came here after seeing all the viral photos of the touak special wrap- it's worth the hype! It's gigantic so definitely a great deal with two people. This is my husband's favorite handheld in the area. He doesn't like pickles but he likes it in the wrap! The service is very friendly, and they also sell some baklava. Mostly street parking (or as I said make-your-own street parking). For me personally the French fries make the wrap a little too heavy - don't get me wrong, it's still delicious but I might try getting a different wrap and asking for the habibi sauce on the outside to see if it's more balanced for me. The sleeper hit was the 1/2 chicken - completely butterflied and roasted in a crazy flavorful spice mix and served on top of French fries and pita with toum inside (plus a side of toum and habibi). It's like a deconstruction special wrap, but the chicken is insane and way better than the chunks. Highly recommend if you're looking for something different! There's only three seats inside so not great for dine-in, but when they said we were eating inside, they offered to cut our wrap in half and served it on two paper plates with napkins plus a little stick of gum for afterwards! This was honestly some of the most flavorful food I've had in my life. The Taouk special is an absolute 10/10. Also the service is so great they treat you like super stars if you're dining in. Stopped at the Charcoal Pit for lunch on a Thursday @ 11:00am. It was already busy. It is a very small space- standing room only. Very nice and friendly guys working there. I had a chicken wrap- which was grilled and loaded with good amount of chicken, fries, slaw. and more. Good portion and enough for 2 people. It was ready in 20 minutes or less. Absolutely fire I got 2 shish Tawouk sandwiches and this was the authentic Lebanese way to do it. Whenever the fries are in the sandwich that's the Lebanese way. Large sandwich I wish I lived closer to have this from Dallas. The sesame seeds on the pita was an awesome touch. You guys keep rocking. read more

This place is take out only and the staff is very friendly. I got half a chicken plate and a beef wrap. The chicken was AMAZING. It comes with their habibi sauce which is so flavorful along with pita and fries. The beef wrap was just okay, it wasnt that flavorful and i couldnt really taste the beef. The sandwich which I ordered was the one that was recommended by staff. It was Hugh and also terrible it had now distinct taste. I couldnt really figure out what was in the sandwich, Had 1/2 that day and I felt nauseated all afternoon so I threw out the 2nd half. Saw on IG about the special chicken wrap. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS and WORTH the 30 min drive! I also got the homemade hummus and baklava which are also absolutely incredible!!! Someone asked me the other day what my most memorable meal was lately. The charcoal pit was my overwhelming answer. The wraps are to die for and full of flavor, the salad and fries were also the stars of the show. Food is on the pricier side, but well worth the price. read more

Stopped and grabbed dinner for the family. What a hidden gem this place was. We got the Mashewe Family Feast, which was a healthy portion of chicken, beef, lamb, and kafta, the way it's all cooked over charcoal gives it an amazing flavor. That came with grilled vegetables, this amazing spicy pita, and rice I also grabbed a charcoal cooked farouj (Spatchcocked roasted chicken). It was delicious. Also comes with bread, fries, coleslaw and a salad. The fattoush salad I got was big enough for two people. Whatever house dressing they have is good, light and not overpowering at all. Nice to have a fresh, healthy take out option in the area. We will be back plenty of times I'm sure. read more

I am so glad we found this place! It's super tiny, you can easily miss it when you drive by, but don't let its petite store front fool you. Whatever you order, get some toum with it, we ate it with every bite, it's so delicious. We got the kafta kabob wrap, chicken kabob entree, and hummus - and they were all amazing. The sweet couple running the place were so nice and even thought to put hot and cold items in separate bags. I grew up in Los Angeles, I've eaten a lot of Lebanese food, and this place is top notch! The Charcoal Pit mediterranean in Haverhill MA let just Say WOW this place is a Hidden Gem it's very small can seat maybe four to five people but for a small spot what big Flavor!!! We have Tried a many Mediterranean restaurants around the Merrimack valley area and this is hands down the best we have had me and my wife got the Taouk Special wraps absolutely to die for! My daughter got the hummus with meat it comes in a pita chip bowl the hummus and delicious and we got a Fattoush salad which was also fantastic the super staff was friendly and polite would highly recommend giving them a try read more

I had to wait about 15 minutes which wasn't bad but unfortunately, it was very cold inside because the door wouldn't stay closed. I wouldn't suggest eating there because it is very small inside. Brought the food home and was impressed with the amount of food given. It was good but not the best I've had.
