The club itself is an intimate and unique space. The performers were top notch and we are still trying to wrap our heads around some of the magic we experienced! Our matinee ticket didn't include food, but did include a non alcoholic drink. They do offer beer/wine for purchase. While all of the performers were fantastic, we were lucky enough to catch a performance headlining Mentalist James Knight. He is amazing (mind boggling actually) and I hope he returns to the club soon! We had a great time and can't wait return with friends!

The low rating is because AFTER you purchase your tickets, you are informed that proof of vaccination record must be presented at the theater before allowed to enter. NO REFUNDS. Taylor, one of their honchos, interrupted the show three times to make a person in the audience move their mask up to cover their nose. It was opening night after a long shutdown, so I hope they get their "act" together in the near future. In the meantime, this was the first and last time I will go there.

Three people (1 guy and 2 women) were sitting at one side of the table. My friend put his empty…read moreglass on table and sat on the other side. The guy stood up, put his hands on my friends shoulder close to the base of his neck and tells him, "if you put another empty glass on this table I'm going to kill you." My other friend, she stands up and tells him not to touch him, and 1 of the women goes and pushes my friend and my friend pushed her back, the women left a scratch across my friends neck. We all start yelling and the bartender comes out, takes the glasses, says we had enough to drink, and kicks us out to leave, but NOT the guy who verbally threatened my friend and not the woman who physically assaulted my other friend. We go across the street and call the police to file a report while watching the guy still there talking to the same bartender who told us to leave. Next thing we see, the other bartender pulls up in a car, walks to the guy, hands him the car key, and he then goes in the car and he drives off. No wonder we were told to leave but they weren't, they know the bartender. Don't support a business who supports people who verbally threaten and assault people for putting an empty glass on the table.

The ambience was dark and lightly lit with blue lights around. There was a bar in the back right corner. Bathroom had a lot of stalls, but wasn't well kept. Jiaoying did have an earlier show around 6pm so it's probably from then since the show ran late. Overall we had a great time! Jiaoying had us laughing the entire time. Of course the entertainment, Lloyd Gregory & Friends, was "da bomb"! The only displeasure experienced was the sighting of a bug (type unmentioned) crawling on the wall next to our table--twice. We didn't bring it to the attention of the management, but just "handled" it. However, it is suggested a pest inspection and treatment be implemented right away. I would hate for this to become a problem which might prevent my and others' patronization of such a wonderful asset to the Vallejo community.

He played the Orator Version of Frederick Douglass, and another actor played the action character Frederick Douglass (and also had lines) during the Stage Reading Oration. When we arrived, there was plenty of street meter parking outside around the theatre. There is a brewery directly across the street and a Mexican Food Truck in front of the brewery. The food truck is a bit pricey ($16 per person). I advise that theatre goers explore having dinner prior to arriving to the show. The venue offers a full bar, coffee, hot cocoa, and vending type snacks. Snacks include: candy, Pringle Chips, fresh popped popcorn in boxes, bottled waters, and sodas. There are not hot food items nor sandwiches at the venue snacks/bar area. I recommend that they get pastries to sell to patrons, this would go a long way for those who ate dinner before a show. The theatre seats 90 people, there is a row up front in the orchestra pit area for disabled attendees. The stairwell aisles of the theatre are wide with 2 stair transitions, which is safer than most. The seats are a bit cramped, but cushioned. The sound and lighting is great for a stage reading format. Overall, this was a great experience and the cast came out afterwards to meet with the audience members in the theatre entrance foyer/lobby. Our friend, Wayne, and the whole cast, did an excellent job in this performance!

There is a bar. Dress as you like This last time we came for Dirty Cello band, also amazing! She came out before the show and chatted with everyone personally. I follow them now on social media. I can't imagine being disappointed with anything I chose to see here. We are planning to come see a play soon. And then a comedy show perhaps!
