Before signing up, I specifically asked Joseph K. if the membership was truly month-to-month with NO contract and NO annual fee. He assured me it was and pressured me to sign immediately, claiming the promotion might not be available later. He then rushed me through multiple electronic documents while verbally explaining the terms. After using the gym only ONE TIME, I was shocked to find an additional annual fee of over $70 charged to my card that had never been clearly disclosed to me during the sales process. When I complained, Joseph denied what he had told me. Corporate, including Melanie and her managers, refused to honor the representations made by their own employee and relied entirely on documents signed during a rushed sales process. They canceled my membership, kept my money, and left me with over $150 in charges for a gym I used only once. MY STRONG ADVICE: DO NOT TRUST VERBAL PROMISES MADE BY SALES STAFF AT THIS LOCATION. If a dispute arises later, corporate may refuse to honor what you were told and will rely solely on the paperwork. READ EVERY SINGLE WORD BEFORE SIGNING ANYTHING. The gym I used to go to had a person walking around all day long wiping down equipment doors sweeping exercise studios just keeping the place clean. I'm a little disappointed. I would hate to leave because your classes are so good, but if my health suffers because of the unsanitary conditions, I might have to consider and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Upon checkout the receptionist told me there was a note on my file for 20% off my service. She reached out to the spa manager who indicated since there was no name or date on the note that they should ignore it and did not honor the discount. When questioned they said that it was an employee error. Seems like the customers bear the brunt of all employee errors--I did send a note to the GM - Hayden Duffy. I look forward to a response.

Their Daycare and Summer Camp programs are a great help to working families and swimming lessons are included. They are the YMCA for youth competitive swimming. Fitness programs are available for Senior citizens with their Silver Sneakers. Zumba and Yoga classes are available for a more intense workout and a complete fitness center with no wait for a treadmill, bike, stepper or weight machine. Personal trainers can help you achieve your personal goals. Open basketball and pickleball are available in their gym for those who play. I highly recommend that you join the Raritan Valley YMCA and take advantage of this great underutilized facility.
