The Fig & Barrel is a much-needed addition to Boynton Beach! Some nights, you just don't want to immerse yourself in the downtown scene with traffic, parking, and a wait for a table (if I'm being honest, this is how I feel most nights). In walks The Fig & Barrel- a quaint wine bar with impeccable nosh and an appealing ambiance that makes you feel like you're no where near Gateway & 95. We've visited over a handful of times now; a few double dates, a few girls nights, always a good time. The manager and waitress are an attentive duo that guide your selections from wine to cheese. This place is located right off Gateway on the main road, and the scenery is really nice with plenty of outdoor seating. However, we had an issue with the billing--since we were seated near a larger group, they assumed we were part of that party and automatically added an 18% gratuity to our checks without asking. The food itself was good, but for the price, it didn't feel worth it. We honestly could have made a better charcuterie board at home with more variety for less money. Overall, the atmosphere was enjoyable, but the pricing and service experience didn't quite match up. read more

Had a last minute get together with my son a few weeks ago and I remembered seeing this place on Instagram so we decided to try it. This little tapas and wine spot is an absolute hidden gem! With just a few cozy tables inside and a handful outside, it feels intimate, relaxed, and perfect for a laid-back evening. I recently discovered a beautiful and cozy new spot in Boynton that offers delicious food and wine along with an intriguing menu! Every bite of food had me smiling. They also have an inviting outdoor area, and I can't wait to return for happy hour with my girlfriends. I won a gift basket from an Instagram giveaway. So instead of just picking it up, I decided to meet my wife after she finished work and have a glass of wine or two while enjoying my gift basket. Since I had eaten dinner earlier , I got the creme brulee with a Riesling and my wife got Prosciutto Croquettes, Creamy ham croquettes with béchamel & cheese for $9. And a glass of red wine. Since it was a Wednesday night , It was bogo , which they also do on Thursday nights. The Brulee and Croquette was delicious. You also can do a make your own charcutier board. The owner who was behind the bar is a great guy, very nice. Also perfect for me is their location. Right next the the Smokeinn cigar lounge. Great staff , very helpful. The Fig & Barrel is our new favorite hangout! The tapas are crazy good and I love the charcuterie options to build your own board. Jason is so personable and friendly and never steers you wrong on the wine! He is so willing to give you tastings until you find the one you're looking for. They have some great bottle selections as well! Outdoor seating is great to meet up with friends and family. The food was such small portions my friend and I ended up leaving hungry despite ordering multiple times. The service was slow to the point where I thought they forgot about us outside. I believe we may have unintentionally gone during their opening week because it seemed like the girls at the front were new or lost. The bartender forgot about our bottle until one of us went inside and mentioned that we still hadn't received the bottle that we paid for. Everything about this place is cozy! We went on a rare freezing night in Florida and even though we were sitting outside (which kept my wine cold) there are free blankets provided by the restaurant! The place is small and cozy and the food is so good. Also, the bartender was really knowledgeable about the wine on offer and I happened to find a new favorite. read more

Was there recently with my wife.The concept of a well versed wine and appetizer menu would be a big hit in a trendy upscale area in South Beach Manhattan or LA. Not Boynton Beach that's hidden off Gateway Blvd. The service is outstanding! They will need outstanding marketing to survive! read more

Had a great time tonight at the Fig and Barrel! It's such a cozy atmosphere. They have a great selection of wines too!! The bartender, Jeysson, was super knowledgeable on the wine selection and was very attentive. Valeria was also very friendly and even offered to package up our leftovers to take home! The service here is top tier and everyone is really nice and sweet. It's a nice place to get together with friends for a night out! If I could, I would rate this restaurant more than just 5 stars. Incredibly cute little place with an awesome concept right off of Gateway. We were truly impressed with the quality of the food and small but well-curated wine selection. The bartender was very knowledgeable about wine as well. The cheeses were amazing, and the pintxos, which we'd never had before, were absolutely delicious. I love the idea. The service was very good - it's clear the staff have been trained extremely well. Get the yellowtail jalapeño - the nobu style sashimi - when we would order a drink - it would be served in like 5 min. The ambiance was great - the view is killer. So big surprise - it's expensive. Be prepared to pay. But in my view - it's worth it. The fish was obviously super fresh. Probably caught that day.

I would have given it a 5 and was leaning towards a 3 since the manage failed to hire enough staff to handle the bar. It took 30 minutes waiting in line to pay my tab. He's lucky to have a gal there that was doing the job of 3 people, but they were totally overwhelmed. Seriously need to double the staff for next year, at the very least.
