I've been to a few Cooper's Hawk Wineries & restaurants around the country. This is the newest location & the first in Palm Beach County. Four of us came for dinner & made reservations weeks ago. There was a lot of free parking at this Cooper's Hawk on Rt.#441 in Wellington. Once inside we walked past the wine bar with many bottles & wine focused gifts. It was very, very crowded with many waiting for their table when I looked up and there was Raymond with his wife., what a nice surprise! We started with sangria, the glasses were shockingly, small and mostly ice. We shared the chicken lettuce wraps that came on a huge platter and we're more than enough for four of us. They were fresh delicious and had a nice kick. For dinner I enjoyed my shrimp, scallop risotto. The portion was generous and the truffle sauce enhanced the flavor. My husband enjoyed his Aji tuna dinner, and friends enjoyed their salmon and huge chicken salad. Service was on point, we weren't rushed and dinner was delicious. read more

As a wine club member since 2020, I've visited Cooper's Hawk more times than I can count, and the consistency is what keeps me coming back. During our most recent Tuesday evening visit, we had a 5:45 PM reservation and were seated immediately. The atmosphere is warm with soft music, elegant décor, and a relaxed, romantic vibe. The service is consistently excellent. The staff is knowledgeable about both the food and wine selections and always happy to offer recommendations. We started with the Brussels sprouts, which are a must-order every time. For dinner, I had the lobster tail entrée with Parmesan-crusted medallions, mashed potatoes, and vegetables. The medallions were cooked to a perfect medium and incredibly tender. The lobster was delicious, though I would probably order it simply steamed next time, as the Parmesan crust made it a bit salty for my taste. My sister loved the Chicken Piccata, and my husband enjoyed his favorite Sausage Gnocchi. After years of dining here and trying a variety of dishes, I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal. We had an exceptional experience at Coopers Hawk today. Our server Micheal was excellent, attentive and gave great recommendations. Honestly service is everything, and Micheal mad the entire visit better. If Coopers hawk is reading this, let him know he makes a difference. My food was great! I ordered the Blackened Ahi Tuna off of the "Life Balance" menu. It was SPECTACULAR!! The tuna was definitely sushi grade. The rice was exceptionally done as was the Asian slaw. Honestly I could not think of a thing to change. My wife ordered the Blackened Bleu salad and was very happy with her choice. Now, the think that really surprised me was the drink I ordered. I ordered the PBJ Old Fashioned. Amazing! Honestly the description in the menu caught my eye, and Michael's additional description pulled me in. It was FANTASTIC! It was almost creamy, I just didn't know how to explain it. The pairing with a sweet wine certainly sounded odd, but it went remarkably well together. Our waitress was terrible and very very slow and would disappear for 15-20 at a time. We did go on Father's Day so I hope that was the issue even though it wasn't very busy. I really wanted to love this place, and it definitely had its good and bad. I found the hostesses very rude and snippy both times I came here. They seemed so bothered by our presence and it made me feel unwelcome. Overall the food is decent. I find it all having just a bit more salt than needed. I left there and my rings were stuck on my fingers! The best thing are the mashed potatoes. Everything else is decent but not excellent. I got the chicken with the pickled veggies and it was good but again, very salty. I'm not sure I'll run back. read more

The server was down to earth and accommodating. The restaurant was clean and lush. It was also slightly cool in regard to the temperature outside. I would expect it to be slightly warmer than it was inside the restaurant. The pretzel bread was crispy on the outside and soft on The braised beef rib risotto was so delicious. As new members of the Wine Club, for date night this week we came in for a "New Members Event" and our complimentary tasting... The event was basically just sitting around a private dining area with other new folks, drinking wine, and eating some appetizers. Which were yummy... but I really wish they would have made a little more time to discuss all the benefits of the wine club without us having to seek them out and ask. Amazing dinner tonight from start to finish. The food and the service were both incredible. I had the short rib risotto and it was amazing. My husband had the surf and turf and loved it as well. Isabelle was our server and she was great. Such a fun personality and made our dinner that much more enjoyable. We also joined the wine club thanks to Isabelle's recommendation. We enjoyed the food and had a good lunch here despite a few minor glitches. We sat at the bar and had excellent service from Tammy and Brandon. And anything that wasn't quite right was corrected and handled professionally or was a very minor quibble. Here's the not so good first: I got a dirty knife (replaced); my salad wasn't chopped (minor); my wedge salad didn't have bacon (Brandon went and got me some); the wedge salad had other lettuce added not iceberg (minor; I picked it out); they delivered the salad first telling me the lobster bisque was being heated; then the bisque was too thin and they didn't want to serve it; then I should choose another item off the menu (at no additional charge); then no, they got some bisque, it would come soon (eek!). I got the bisque -- it was hot and decent. Meanwhile my husband had the blue burger. It was cooked perfectly to temp and he liked it. His fries, however, were served cold -- which he figured was because they sat waiting for my lobster bisque situation to be resolved. We also had a couple lovely conversations with our fellow diners at the bar/counter. Everyone we met was quite friendly. We will return. Our neighboring diners told me they order the pot stickers and the gnocchi every time they come, so I just have to try them. This newly opened Wine bar eatery was our lunch destination today. Plenty of parking and the lot was almost full to capacity. Good sign for this chain with growing popularity. We did find a spot near the front door and the host desk did show our reservation on file. Our bar seats were available and we were seated next to some pleasant bar mates enjoying their wine and food. After sampling two wines I decided to enjoy a Gerwartztraminer. I think it paired very well with my Blue Burger. My burger had plenty of blue cheese and cooked to my requested temperature. The fries were warm, not hot. Our bartenders Tammy and Brandon were great! Went to Cooper's Hawk for lunch with a friend. We had a reservation, which I highly recommend, because the restaurant was busy even though it's been open only about a month at this location. Their strong reputation appears to have quickly built a following at the Wellington location. The well-appointed wine shop is front and center when you walk in and wine is the predominant theme of the restaurant, from retail sales to their wine club and their wine pairings for most items on the menu. I had the BBQ chicken chopped salad, which had a delightful mix of ingredients including lettuce, grape tomatoes, cheese, corn, black beans, avocado and bacon with a mildly spicy chipotle BBQ ranch dressing. I requested to have the onion strings on the side, which failed to appear until I mentioned the oversight to our server, Cody B. He immediately brought out a dish of crunchy onion straws. The salad was large, filling and delicious! My friend had the Caesar salad with chicken. The dressing contained some pesto, which provided a unique flavor profile to the usual Caesar dressing. This salad was also large, filling and tasty. While we waited for our salads to arrive, we thoroughly enjoyed the warm, fresh bread. Cody helped turn our lunch into a terrific experience. He was very friendly and attentive. My friend had noted it was my birthday when she made the reservation, and Cody offered me a warm birthday greeting upon our arrival. Although we weren't planning to have any wine with lunch, he brought us a few to taste: Cooper's Hawk featured merlot, and a light Gewürztraminer sweet white wine, which happened to be the wine listed on the menu as the one to pair with my BBQ chicken salad. Both wines were good, and we appreciated the gesture by Cody. He also provided literature about Cooper's Hawk wine club for us to consider at our leisure. Thankfully there was no accompanying high-pressure sales pitch. After we completed our lunches, Cody presented the dessert menu. Although we were not interested in dessert, he surprised me with a plate of white and dark chocolate truffles and whipped cream to celebrate my birthday. So unexpected and so fabulous! How did he know I'm a chocolate lover? Overall, we had a truly delightful lunch. The only issue we encountered was at the front check-in desk. The women working there were surprisingly cold and unpleasant. Their demeanor made us wonder if we were going to have a bad experience. Love that they've opened a location a little closer to us! Judging by the packed parking lot and how full the restaurant was, everyone else seems just as happy about it too. We came for dinner, and while there was a longer wait for our wine and food, they had just opened on Monday, so it was to be expected. The food is always consistently good. I honestly don't think I've ever had a bad meal at Cooper's Hawk. The country rigatoni, jambalaya with pasta, mahi mahi, and blackened Caesar salad are all delicious. The mahi mahi was especially juicy, and the lemon flavor complemented it perfectly. They offer a great variety of wines, which I really appreciate, and I love that they allow you to sample a pour before choosing your glass. My family had never been, so it was a nice experience for them. My favorite part of the new restaurant was the cork wall you see as soon as you walk in. It's such a fun and eye-catching detail. The atmosphere inside was very dark and quite loud, to the point where we had to raise our voices just to have a conversation. If you're not a wine club member, consider this your sign to join. At long last, the Wellington Cooper's Hawk has arrived! As longtime wine club members who frequently make the trek to the Gardens Mall location in Palm Beach Gardens, we've been looking forward with great anticipation to this closer location. We knew what to expect as far as the offerings, but we're excited to see how this new spot functioned. We weren't disappointed! The restaurant is beautiful and well-appointed. Always classy but not stuffy. That being said, there are definitely some first week kinks to work out. I wanted the braised short ribs, but they were out. And the food took an exceedingly long time to come out. However, everything tasted good. I got the low calorie option salmon with veggies and it was delicious. We also did a tasting and our server was friendly and knowledgeable (which has always been our experience). This season's Spiced Pear wine is soooo good. I've purchased three bottles. The service here is pretty good - it's a new location so I expect everyone is pretty much on their A game. Cooper's Hawk is hands down our favorite wine spot -- it's always a great experience. The service is consistently good, and the ambiance is always inviting. We usually go for the wine flights, the PB&J Old Fashioned, and our must-haves: the over of the Border egg rolls and the Brussels sprouts. On our recent visit to the new State Road 7 location, we decided to be adventurous and try the sangria flight. It was... okay. The flavors were fine, but wine with ice just isn't our thing. We definitely prefer our wine straight up, no ice. Overall, we'll happily stick to what we love -- the wine flights never miss. read more

We decided to check out the new Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant for a family lunch, especially with all the buzz around it and the convenience of it being so close to home. We arrived around lunchtime and were seated right away, which was a plus. That said, it did feel like they were a bit understaffed, likely due to just opening for the day. To start, we ordered a few appetizers: the Thai chicken lettuce wraps (usually a favorite of mine), chicken spring rolls, and a flatbread. While everything was decent, nothing really stood out. I'm not a big wine drinker, but I can see why people enjoy coming here for the experience, some of my family members loved being able to sample different wines while dining. For our main courses, we tried the soy-glazed salmon, vegetarian risotto, a burger, and an iceberg salad. Overall, the food was okay, nothing bad, but nothing particularly memorable either.The ambiance and overall setup of the restaurant are very nice and definitely one of its strong points. However, the service could use improvement. Our server was often unavailable, and it felt like we were waiting longer than expected to place orders or receive items. Overall, it was an average experience. I'd consider giving it another try down the line, especially once they've had more time to settle in and staff up. read more

Started with several apps. Calamari was greasy over breaded and rubbery. the Brussels sprouts were very tasty but very greasy. the chicken wraps were good. make your own. The overall apps were just ok. Isabelle gave us some great menu suggestions. We asked several times for more bread. it took 30 min to get some. Isabelle mentioned there was a power outage earlier that has backed up the kitchen. It was about 60 min or so before we saw out meal. one of the members of our party got very hangry, we were told the food was being plated 10 min ago and still waited. we finally received our food the non sauced steak it was smothered in a butter sauce. the prime rib sliders tasted dry like sat for a long time under a heat lamp. the tuna dish with Asian slaw was tasty. and my dish the Country rigatoni was a very mediocre. we requested the manager several times but had two of our folks go up and find them. I didn't enjoy my experience. I visited on a Wednesday night solo and sat in the bar/lounge area, I appreciated being served bread while reviewing the menu. My server was friendly and accommodating, but service was really slow, with long gaps between check ins whenever I got my cocktail or food. The Lemon Drop Martini was extremely disappointing, tasting more like a premade mixer with low quality alcohol than a fresh cocktail. I also ordered the short rib entrée with risotto, but the risotto was dry and grainy, and the portion amount of the short rib was really small. Because service was slow, I ate the meal rather than sending it back. Overall, I left pretty disappointed. Met a friend here on a Thursday evening, we had a reservation for 5:45pm. The place was packed, there was no parking nearby. I parked in the parking garage, the only car there was mine. The wait to be seated was not long. It was very loud in The dining area and hard to have a conversation. We order two appetizers, the meatballs and the ahi tuna. They were both ok nothing spectacular. I had a lavender martini that had way too much citrus to be called a lavender anything. Service was decent for the amount of people. How I wanted to love this place. Been to many Coopers Hawk restaurants both in the Gardens and when traveling. Mostly good experiences and I do like most of their wines. Was hoping this one closer to home would at least be the same....first off - I will warn you that every Cooper's Hawk restaurant I've been to husband noisy, so if you're looking for quiet either eat outside or go somewhere else. There was a large party next to us, and we got worried when the woman behind us got up and left. It did take our server a while to get to us, but we waited. He took our drink order and food order and disappeared. We waited quite a while for our drinks when my husband finally had to speak up. And honestly the waiter felt just a wee bit sassy. We really just wanted chicken burgers for dinner, but be for-warned, there's a lot of spices in them. Enough that we both got heartburn at about 2am....will go back to other Coopers Hawks where things have gone well in the past but definitely won't be trying the chicken burger again! read more

It was my first time visiting this location being that it's pretty new. This location was a little smaller and seemed "tighter" than the Gardens location. We sat outside. It seemed to be more roomy out there. They were kind of busy but our items came out pretty quickly and it was delicious. Our server Melanie was great! I would ask to sit in her section anytime that I visit. All in nice new location. Kind of small and the parking lot is wayyyyy too small but I would return. read more

Finally made it to the brand new Cooper's hawk wellington. We had reservations hence no wait, unfortunately anyone that walk in had 1 1/2 hr wait on a Wednesday night. Definitely make reservations. They have many merchandise for sale, I'm not a wine drinker so can't comment too much on wine but clearly Cooper's hawk is known for their wines and I am sure they have great wine. I don't care too much for the calamari but the risotto was very good. We also had very good service, our server was knowledgeable. Had to try the new Cooper's Hawk in Wellington, FL, and unfortunately they missed the mark on this visit. We did not have dinner reservations, but we were fine with walking in and waiting for a table. We were quoted a one-hour wait, which we accepted. My wife and I were comfortable waiting, as we found a nice spot at the bar to enjoy an appetizer and a couple of drinks. Tammy, the bartender, truly made the experience more pleasant during the long wait. Her service, attitude, and attentiveness stood out and helped offset the frustration of the delay. After returning for an update at the one-hour mark, the greeter informed me we would need to wait an additional 30 minutes due to "lunch crowds" still occupying tables. For context, we checked in at 4:51 PM, so referencing a lunch crowd at that time was confusing. After the extra half-hour passed, we were told the same thing again. It wasn't until a manager happened to be nearby and asked if she could help that the situation was resolved. I explained what had occurred, and she was able to get us seated shortly afterward. I believe the manager's name was Sherry--apologies if I'm mistaken. It should not have taken that level of escalation to be accommodated. Allowing lunch guests to hold tables for several hours does not make sense and creates unnecessary frustration for waiting patrons. As for the food, my salmon was on the drier side, although the mashed potatoes were absolutely on point. My wife's Country Rigatoni, however, was outstanding--packed with rich, delicious flavors and easily the highlight of the meal. We are regular Cooper's Hawk customers and won't let this experience deter us, especially since this location is very convenient for us. That said they need to do better with managing wait times and communication. Hopefully this is just a hiccup as they work through opening phase issues. read more

As a repeat customer, I was surprised by how poorly my Father's Day visit was handled. The meal arrived with what were described as fingerling potatoes, but they were severely overcooked, shriveled, and unappetizing. I politely mentioned my concern when a manager asked if everything was okay. Rather than listening or offering a replacement, she insisted that the potatoes were fine and that this was simply how they were prepared. A few minutes later, another manager approached my table and accused me of making a disrespectful comment to the first manager that I never made. At that point, the focus had shifted from resolving a customer concern to defending management's position. What disappointed me most was not the food itself but the lack of professionalism in handling the situation. A simple apology and replacement would have turned the experience around. Instead, I left feeling dismissed and unfairly accused. I've had good experiences at Cooper's Hawk before, which is why this visit was so disappointing. I hope management takes customer concerns more seriously in the future. read more

My family went here for Father's Day we sat with no food for 2 1/2 hours then when our food finally came out it was reheated and disgusting the lobster looked and tasted like rubber. The food, however, was slightly salty for all of us, though still enjoyable. The presentation was somewhat underwhelming and did not fully reflect the level of the dining experience. For dessert, we were given two truffles in recognition of my birthday, which was a nice gesture. I also have five bottles of wine remaining on my membership account, but due to how busy the restaurant was at the time, I was unable to retrieve them and had to leave. Had an opportunity to visit during their soft opening last evening and had a great time. Our table had the meatballs, sashimi and lettuce wraps for appetizers. The clear star for the appetizers were the lettuce wraps. The pineapple coleslaw, along with the chicken and peanut sauce had so much great flavors. For the mains we had the filet, gnocchi carbonara, chicken burger and chicken giardiniera. Each one of these mains were so well prepared and had so great flavors it was hard to pick a winner among the table. Lastly we split the chocolate cake and key lime pie. Both of these were so good. Being a soft opening you might not expect god service, this was not the case. We were greeted by the hostesses with a smile and seated with in 10 minutes of our reservation time. Our server was so pleasant and knew the menu well and took the time to ask what we liked to give us some good food and wine recommendations.
