I would give zero stars if I could. I discovered a $7,822 collections account on my credit report--without ever receiving a single notice from this company. I had to break my lease due to a family emergency and informed management in writing, yet they made no real effort to re-rent my unit until four months later. Then, without warning or explanation, they sent me to collections for an outrageous amount. Completely unprofessional and unethical. Avoid renting from them at all costs. I have never had such a weird, negative experience from a company. At 9900 Memorial I tried several times to contact the Manager to inform her of my family emergency and discuss options. Her name is Tammy and she never got back to me. My apartment was rented by my friend who initiated the lease on it. Now, I am trying to contact a woman Ms. Tito at the Finger's corporate office to discuss the creditors issue as they say I owe nearly 8,000$ which is totally inaccurate. She, too, is not responding to my emails. And this all has happened six months after I moved (had to move out of TX, leave my teaching job to another state up North; that is how dire my situation was/is). read more

I wanted to bring this matter as it gets out of hand. Mrs. Medel is extremely rude , disrespectful and mean. She discriminates people based on their race, age, sex and accent. Besides that, she never answers the phone, email and avoid dealing with her direct duties regarding maintenance and property issues. She is never in the office and never follows up on anything. She shows no signs of concern to address her resident's issues. Every time we are able to catch her at the work place - she is always on her phone, no eye contact, speaks in the sarcastic manner and clearly lacking any sort of professional knowledge or skills. Worst management company ever! I handed them my property to manage and in the first month, rent collections dropped by $10k. I had to feed the property for 7 months and finally had to fire them because they hardly did anything. They just went through the motions like a zombie and didn't make any effort to improve performance. They hired 3rd party contractors when much of the work could have been performed by onsite staff. The staff was kept in the dark on all work orders. It doesn't take much imagination to figure out what was going on here. Renewals didn't go out on time. What a mess. Six months after I took the property back, I'm at 100% and tenants are paying rent. I'm still digging out of the hole that they put me in by paying off payables but at least its going back in the right direction. Stay away from these guys!! read more

I have literally had to file a formal complaint with the AAGD against a Finger Companies property - The Renaissance at Preston Hollow. We have ongoing security issues (break-ins, stolen cars, etc.) and management is unresponsive (I've also been lied to, regarding police reports...it's information that is online!?). I have begged them to implement changes (cameras, security guards, updated exterior gates, etc.). The management here has flipped over at least five times since I moved in seven months ago. I would assume that is happening for a reason. Many residents have structural problems in their apartments that have remained unfixed (I have water damage, for example). Meanwhile, they are doing a massive exterior painting project. A pig with lipstick is still a pig. I do not understand what is going on here, I just know that it is a profound disappointment to me. Sabo Village apartment, Camora has to be the most unfriendly and very unprofessional when talking to. Every other finger properties are amazing. From managers to leasing agents are amazing. If I could give this zero stars I would. I have called and left voicemails with supervisors for 2 weeks now and haven't gotten one call back. I literally can never get ahold of an actual human being to speak with. The secretary that answered the phone was rude and telling me how she had to pee and did it seem one bit concerned about my residential issues I've been trying to call about. I paid my rent and utilities on time each month. Gave my 60 day notice left the apt clean and they still found way to screw me out of my deposit! Claimed I hadn't paid my utilities for Dec 2016 to the date I moved out which was 4/30/17. They claimed in rears but my invoice says otherwise. I moved to Greenridge Place back in February of this year. It was July of the summer I realize I had rats living on my balcony and in my wall. My first complaint I sent to them by email was ignored. The second complaint I sent was in the office ( with proof of rat droppings) which they decided to put me down for pest control. The rat situation worsen. I paid my rent up 3-4 months in advance, therefore they already had my money and didn't want to put me in another building like I requested. Since they already had my October rent I told them I was leaving and I wasn't paying Novembers rent. I explained to them winter is coming and the rats will find a way in my apartment (which they did!) and that I was fed up with how they treated me. I have a 6 year old child and rats carry diseases. No one should have to live that way. After giving them my decision I asked to be let out of my lease with my deposit back. Irvin told me he needed to speak with manager Victoria. Not once did Victoria herself call me to see what the situation was. She passed a message back through Irvin asking for another chance to make the situation better and possibly reimbursing me for my damages. I passed one back saying I didn't care who she sent to the apartment to do whatever, I was still leaving and wanted my deposit back and to be let out of my lease. Irvin told me he would let her know and that they have to speak with a supervisor. In between that time frame they sent maintenance in my home without my permission or even a notice to clean up the rat droppings ( like I don't have pictures)and seal the holes (which he did a horrible job). I called the office to let them know this wasn't going to solve the issue and that the rats was already in the wall. I even went the office with a video proof so they can hear them for themselves. Tuesday (Nov 7) I come home and I can tell someone been in the apartment. I can see someone been through my boxes. I walked around and notice my balcony door was open and there was a broom that didn't belong to me. I called the office and spoke with Irvin and asked if someone was in home. He said no when I told him it was a lie and because of the broom that was left and that someone left the balcony door open. well Nov 8 I woke up to see droppings on my stove. Yes the rats are in the kitchen now!! I called the office to see if Victoria was in and she wasn't . I left a message and no call back the leasing agent gave me heads up that she wasnt going to let me out of my lease and I would be penalize for it. It would be a broken lease. read more

Finger Properties- The Elaine in Northbrook, IL. Been here since March. Dog park wasn't open until mid-end of summer. Pools weren't completed until OCTOBER. Dog wash wasn't available until around Sept. Snow and ice covered walkways and dog park areas because of lack of upkeep. Dog park gets FILLED with water. Racist neighbors that management won't follow up on. Admins who don't do their job when notified of pets. Management is grossly unresponsive. You are NOT able to control your own thermostat in the apartment. 4 months of upwards of 90 degree temps inside my apartment. Complex does not inform you of upcoming construction and LOUD noises for planned construction right outside your window. You pay $2k/month for a 1 bedroom apartment where you can't sleep comfortably- let alone work from home- because of the constant construction work. Go down the street to a better complex, same amenities for less money and friendly staff. Also, be aware that most of the positive posts on this page are NOT from residents at this property. read more

I've lived in two different apartments run by the Finger Companies, and both of them were incredible. I first lived at the Grove at Wilcrest several years ago and couldn't complain. Nice facilities and competent, friendly staff. The building has a unique, tropical vibe that I always really liked. After living there a year, I wanted to move closer to work and the staff put me in touch with one of the company's newer properties in the area of my office, 2900 West Dallas. This place totally surpasses any apartment experience I've ever had. The facilities are amazing and so far have not had any problems to speak of. read more

I have been living at a property in Houston owned by The Finger Companies for 4 years now. It is quiet and has some of the best neighbors that I have ever had! The Finger Companies has built a community that is more like a small neighborhood, rather than an apartment complex. I love my neighbors, and many are long term having been there since it was built. There is always some kind of event or club that gives me the opportunity to mingle with my neighbors and meet new ones. While every apartment is going to have maintenance issues come up from time to time, the maintenance staff there is exceptional. You can tell that they really care about the residents and the community. I never have to wait for a request to be completed, and they always clean up after themselves (this is a HUGE deal for me, because I have lived at other places with messy maintenance). I never have complaints about loud or inconsiderate neighbors, since the community is built much better than the newer places that are thrown up over night. The office staff is consistent and knows everyone by name, and any issues that may come up are handled in a respectful and friendly manner. I just can't stress it enough that I feel at home in my community. read more

I currently reside at the Pines of Wood Forest ( Luxury) Apartments owned by the Fingers Company. My trouble started one year ago. The apartment I was suppose to move into wasn't ready. It was raining bad, the leasing agent that I communicated everything with went on vacation and no one knew I was moving in. Not to mentioned that I had to sit and wait for them to do a make ready with me outside waiting. My things getting wet. I had hired help that I was paying as well. Vanessa the manager of the property did very little to assist me and said what could she do. Well, I was given a $100 credit on my rent. I said really and accepted it. It was my only choice. Well, I did resign another lease because I had surgery and I wasn't ready to move. My front bathroom constantly leaks water from the ceiling where the air conditioner unit is and all I was told is that the complex and the unit are old and they have this in every 2 bedroom apartment..... They have 2 sparkling pools that are open at very inconveint times being that I the pool closes at 5 or 5:30 daily. Who swims before then if you have to work? Well, over all this is a poor decision on my part and I can't wait for my lease to be up and I am outta there. But needless to say the grounds are cut on a regular basis....The oven and refrigerator is so out dated and I surely don't see any luxury.
