Brandi and her team created absolute MAGIC on our wedding day! Our ceremony site was already gorgeous on its own, so we wanted to keep decoration light there. Finishing Touch added the perfect amount of flowers along the aisle and at the altar without taking away from the natural beauty. The number one thing (when it came to decor) that I wanted for our wedding was ceiling drapery with fairy lights and Finishing Touch DELIVERED! They are a preferred vendor of our venue (Grand Tradition Estate & Gardens) and the only vendor that the venue allows to hang things from the ceiling. We met with Brandi in the showroom to look at different centerpiece options, candle votives, flower options, and fabric colors. She was attentive and listened to everything - even picking up on things we didn't say but ended up being important. Brandi picked up the tone in the room very quickly when she asked about boutonnieres for the fathers and we said "just father of the groom". She suggested making a memorial boutonniere for my dad (father of the bride) and I loved that idea so much. She made every effort to tie the details together meaningfully and never pushed more expensive options. They had already started setting up when we arrived at the venue on wedding day and I was AMAZED. It was even more beautiful and magical than I had imagined! The centerpieces were fresh flowers and were gorgeous. The stairway and other flower accents were silk and they were a PERFECT match with the fresh flowers. So many people commented on the fairytale feel and how pretty the flowers were. We decided to have our flower girl's flower crown be made of silk flowers instead of fresh so she could keep it. It was beautifully crafted and made my flower girl feel like a princess! I drug my feet on getting my bouquet dried and pressed after the wedding and didn't get to it until about 4 days after. The person I went to said that usually flowers are a total loss at that point, but that she could tell I had an incredible florist because my flowers were still almost perfect! We went with Finishing Touch for our flowers for our wedding earlier this month, and we are so happy that we did. Brandi does an amazing, amazing, amazing job! You can tell from all of her experience that she knows what she's doing. We gave her an idea of the colors we wanted, and she was able to help design flowers and decor (e.g., candles, lanterns) that were better than anything we could have imagined. We first heard about Finishing Touch because they were a preferred vendor for our venue. After scheduling an initial consultation with Brandi and meeting her for the first time, we knew we were in great hands. Our initial consultation consisted of an in-person visit to Finishing Touch's showroom where there were samples of various wedding decor set up for you to see! My fiance and I did not have a clear vision of what we wanted besides my main goal: have as many lights as possible. Brandi was AMAZING in showing us pictures of previous work and then creating new ideas that she had never done before to bring my goal to life. Brandi's communication was absolute perfection and she was clear and prompt with all of her responses. I was quite nervous about the fact that none of the actual decor would be seen until the day of the wedding; however, during our final in person consultation, Brandi put my mind at ease with her meticulous review of every floral/decor detail. Fast forward to our actual wedding day and Finishing Touch was at the venue setting up before any of us had arrived. I can confidently say that myself, my husband, and every guest in attendance was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the decor and florals from Finishing Touch. We loved being able to use a vendor that could create their own decor installations, but on top of that they are also professional and expert wedding florists (all of our bouquets and flowers from our decor stayed alive for weeks out of water and in the heat). Once my husband and I booked our venue and started discussions with the location coordinator on decor, they suggested that we look for a designer rather than a florist. Although many florists also do design, we really wanted someone that could plan and execute the full gamut for our vision. This included not only florals but also space planning, structural pieces, linens, unique decor, etc. From the beginning, Brandi was wonderful to work with! You can tell she's been doing this for a long time. She's helpful, creative, accommodating of budget and changes, direct, and just overall really pleasant to work with. Brandi and her husband were fantastic!!! She really worked with me on pricing and budget, and made everything GORGEOUS. She did a gorgeous vignette for our sweetheart table, silver with navy draping and teal up-lights. She suggested silk flowers instead of real, because they're cheaper and people don't get close to them anyway. We also used silk for the ceremony gazebo, and you couldn't tell they were fake at all! All of our personal flowers were delivered early, and they were completely set up at the ceremony and reception before we even took our first-look pictures! They were prompt, returned emails and calls immediately, and were always willing to help. Very professional, and very talented. I highly recommend them, no matter what budget you have. I do want to mention that they accept credit cards through pay pal and charge you the pay pal 2% fee if you choose to pay that way, so we used personal checks. read more

Post wedding update: I don't want to completely discredit their work and what a beautiful job they did on our backdrop and table centerpieces because it came out absolutely gorgeous and perfect. They were also very helpful with moving cocktail arrangements inside for the reception, which I GREATLY appreciate. However, flowers should be a top priority of a florist, and I was disappointed in some of my flowers. I asked that my bouquet be white and blush. I also provided pictures of exactly the colors I was going for. My bouquet showed up on the day of the wedding with light plum colored DEAD flowers. Number one, I didn't even want those colors in my bouquet, and number two, THEY WERE DEAD and shriveled. I was *bridezilla moment* dramatically upset. Quite a few of the roses in my bouquet also had brown edges. (Side note: I specifically asked for NO roses because I HATE them but I was ok with garden roses... of course there were regular roses in my bouquet). This was unacceptable. Thankfully the guy on site tried to pull out the ugly flowers that I hated, but he could only do so much since they were wired in. I also specifically asked for dahlias in my aisle arrangements and there were zero. Did all of this ruin my wedding day? Of course not. And as I mentioned before, they did our backdrop beautifully, AND the table centerpieces were big and beautiful and I received a ton of compliments on them. But when you're paying a pretty penny for flowers, you expect them to be exactly what you asked for! I will reiterate what I said in my previous review, which was that Brandi was VERY easy to work with, she responded in a very timely manner, and accommodated everything I asked for. From the moment we got engaged my biggest fear was not knowing what I wanted our wedding to look like, you get ideas here and there but I could not envision in my mind how things were to come together. Truly the thought was daunting, I am very hands on and controlling in some aspects but in others I just throw my hands up and say "someone please do it for me" This was one of those cases. From the day we walked into your show room I knew that no matter what was discussed, or agreed upon it was going to be spectacular, I could never have dreamed about how amazing things would actually turn out. When I arrived at the ceremony I was being hurried to the bridal room to remain unseen, however when I looked outside it stopped me in my tracks, I literally just stopped and had to take a look and take it all in before it was filled with guest. It was everything.... My eyes went directly to the alter and I instantly saw the mantilla, truth be told I was a little concerned on how it would look, if it would stand out too much, if it would look out of place, but it was perfect, it was subtle and it was warm, it felt intimate. Then I saw the aisle and the chairs with the flowers, paired with how beautiful the day was and the Long beach skyline in the background it was perfection Let's talk bouquets--my sisters was perfect, you literally rendered her speechless which never happens, my bouquet was spectacular, the color, the flowers, the orchid it was amazing. I love how you used the charms of my dad, again very subtle and I love it... I made a special request that I be brought into the reception before the guest where in there to make sure that I had the chance to see everything in its untouched glory!!! when I walked in it took my breath away. That room was transformed, in a way that I didn't think was possible. The linen overlays, the center pieces , the flowers, everything was so beautiful and the balance was perfect, there was just enough bling, there was just enough on the table, there was just enough candles.. The sweet heart table and backdrop was my absolute favorite, I mean come on it was the focal point of the room, I know it photographed well and I am dying to see the professional pictures. Finally the cake table that was the single most beautiful thing in the room. There were so many complements about the cake table again just perfection. I am sorry to be so long winded but what I need to express to you both is that working with the Finishing touch has been one of the best decisions I have made in my life, I am not trying to be dramatic but during this whole wedding process I dealt with a lot of vendors and truly you just feel like cattle and you are just another bride, with another wedding, and at some point you just have to accept that you are going to be treated as such. Three months later on our wedding day on May 21, 2016, I watched as they set up our ceremony and reception just as we had envisioned it during our first meeting.
