My husband Jon and I did thorough research before selecting our wedding planner. Palm Springs was a going to be destination wedding for us so we wanted to choose a planner who had great local connections, open to customizations that come with a gay wedding, and was down to earth. We knew we were going to be spending a lot of time with this person and wanted it to feel like we had a friend that was looking out for us along the way. That's exactly what we got with Michelle! From the start, Michelle impressed us not just with her organization and expertise but also with how well she listened and took into account our personal styles. There wasn't a single moment in the process where we felt pressured. She was flexible with her schedule, which was key since we were limited with how often we could travel to Palm Springs. She was also open to video calls when we couldn't meet in person. We were looking for a unique wedding from the start so Michelle's knowledge of vendors and realistic prices was key. When we were initially planning our budget online, the price ranges vary so widely so Michelle really helped us narrow that list down and prioritize what we should be doing and when. We spent a year planning and were devastated when COVID hit the week of our wedding. We went from a 100 person event to an intimate ceremony in the desert with just our parents in attendance. I don't think we could have made it through those final weeks if it wasn't for Michelle working with our vendors and calming our nerves. We had developed such a close relationship with Michelle that she ended up being the officiant in our ceremony! Wendy rules! I can't say enough good things about Wendy and the job she and her staff did for our big day. Indian weddings are a huge production, there are so many details to oversee and we were lucky we had Wendy in our corner. What I really admired why how communicative Wendy was with everything, no question was too small, and I am sure she could have rolled her eyes at the dumb questions I had, but she made us both feel comfortable. Another thing she was able to accomplish was getting us to not focus so much the stressful parts and just get excited for the big day, that was huge for my wife and I. We met with Wendy a few times before the wedding, whether it was to go over timeline, coordinate with vendors, and just things we should be ready for. She was also great in meeting with our catering manager at the venue to go over everything, so everyone was on the same page. Whenever we emailed, she emailed right back, I wish some of our vendors had that ability, well only one vendor :) The wedding was incredible, she and her staff handled so much that day, I still have a hard time wrapping my head around it. She just let us focus on everything happening and being in the moment, which was incredible. If you are looking for a wedding planner, do your research, we did ours extensively, and we were beyond happy with the job that Chic Productions did. Words can't describe how grateful I am that our venue required us to hire a day-of coordinator. I don't know that I would have done so otherwise, but having Wendy / Chic Productions on board for our big day was absolutely essential. Beyond ensuring everything ran smoothly at the wedding, she was such a help in the lead-up. From timelines to vendor suggestions, she clearly knows the local wedding industry really well, and my favorite vendors had the highest of praise for her too! I was an out-of-town bride, and she was so gracious and generous with phone and email conversations and recommendations. There was one moment at the wedding right as the groom and I were waiting to enter the reception where I started to panic. We found Wendy and Chic Productions based on a recommendation from another wedding planner who we originally wanted to use as he is the uncle of one of our bridesmaids, but he was unavailable the week of our wedding. I asked him as a professional planner himself, who he would hire. He immediately said Wendy. On his recommendation, I signed the contract with Wendy after just a brief conversation and confirming that she had our date available. I cannot express how wonderful Wendy was! I am fairly type A and knew that it would be hard for me to relinquish control of anything, let alone our wedding. Wendy not only handled everything like a total pro, she has this fabulous calming demeanor about her. My now-husband and I made lots of signs and decor for the ceremony, and without any day-of instruction, Wendy set everything up beautifully. 30 minutes before the ceremony, I realized that I hadn't confirmed that I had a toss bouquet, or that certain things were in place, but she swung by to check on me, assured me that everything was covered, then kept everything flowing. As wedding planning novices, we knew we needed help with planning our wedding. Especially after we decided to get married at a venue (the beautiful La Chureya) that required all decor, furniture and vendors to be sourced by outside vendors. We interviewed multiple wedding coordinators and Michelle stuck out to us with her warmth and humor. Talking to her put us at ease, and she also came with much experience of planning weddings at our venue. We hit the ground running with Michelle and after several Palm Springs visits were in great shape within the 6 months leading up to the wedding. Michelle was awesome at connecting us with different vendors and setting up site visits to see things in person, even while navigating the ever-changing Covid pandemic. As our wedding got closer, and wedding season in Palm Springs ramped up, Michelle got (understandably!) very busy so we found it best to reach out via quick calls or texts during the week rather than email. She gave us her undivided attention in the last several weeks leading up to the main event. Not enough could be said about how incredible Michelle was on the actual wedding weekend. She did SO much work helping set things up, helping coordinate vendor drop offs, helping direct the rehearsal, and was calm and collected throughout. On the actual wedding day, she was with us almost 12 hours, and made it the most perfect experience we could have ever dreamed of. She put out fires we never knew were happening, and she even had a little baggy of apples when we started getting nervous (and hungry) right before the ceremony began. She ran a tight ship and we appreciated it, because it was not an easy venue to pull off what we were able to do. Wouldn't recommend she was late she was suppose to pick up my bouquet my florist ended up dropping it off, that's bc I talked to the florist the night before. Yes she did make a great time line for our wedding but my vendors had a hard time getting a response from her. Toward the end of the night she didn't tell me she was leaving I didn't even know she was gone. She could have check up on me to make sure I needed anything else before she left. Next day I tried reacher her bc I lost something hoping she can clarify no call.
