Ambiance: Very casual diner experience that was really cute…read moreand retro inside. Not a lot of tables, but there was also a bar top with stool seating. Service: Attentive, friendly, and fast. Lots of regulars came in and they automatically knew their orders. Food: The cup of gumbo was so much larger than I anticipated. I would not have ordered this had I known the size. I'm not sure if it had any seafood in it, since I couldn't taste or see any of them, but it was still hearty and delicious. The bison burger was good, but a bit dry for my taste, so I added a bunch of condiments to it. I asked what the buffalo chips were, which are potatoes with Cajun/buffalo style seasoning that's slightly spicy, so I opted for that and it was worth it, since they didn't have curly fries in stock. Overall I'd come back again, but maybe ask for the burger to be cooked medium rare, if that were an option. It seemed like a nice, friendly place to have good food with friends

Friendly service and it was so nice that they split our food onto two plates when we said we were sharing. The Alaskan skillet was great and a big portion of food. The kids enjoyed their pancakes and bacon, which they were nice enough to make just after the 11 o'clock cutoff time. We were very entertained by all the funny/sarcastic quotes on the walls. Would be a regular if we lived in the area.

Cool hole in the wall vibe. Server/clerk was very knowledgeable about gluten allergens. All of the…read moregluten-free items were clearly marked on the wall menu. I ended up getting some tacos and my husband got a sandwich. Both of them had really good flavor. Could tell that a lot of ingredients are made in house. Though I didn't end up buying any I did see that they had an entire Bakery case with a bunch of gluten-free baked goods like cheesecake, custard cake, and some other stuff. We really enjoyed the glass roof as the snow was just starting to melt. It was kind of cool like we were in a half melted igloo. I would definitely put it on my list if you are gluten-free.

Landed on the BLT with salmon. The BLT actually came with a croissant as the bread, so it made it very easy to eat. Lots of bacon and the salmon went really well with the sandwich. Fries here are great too! Staff here are great! Since we came here near closing time, they actually offered us some of their leftover soup since it would have been tossed out. Definitely hate wasting food, so that offer was accepted very quickly. I didn't realize until after leaving why Blue Roof Bistro has its name. It's because...the roof is blue heh. Either way, worth the visit.

Ok, Friday night out with the hubby. We are new here and just finished looking at a house with the…read moreRealtor and made a split decision for a 'splurge' dinner. We've been in a hotel for a few weeks and tried the 'normal' local restaurants but we were saving this one and a few others. Took a chance to show up with no reservation, but they were gracious and easily found a table to sit us in 1 minute flat. LOVED the GENEROUS bucket of REAL butter packets. My husband and I have a joke about the crime of a nice restaurant serving fake oil based butter. Not here. Good sign #1. Waitress arrived and nice, we got glasses of wine (extensive menu) and I ordered my Escargot right away. No question I was shocked to think I would find my European delicacy here! Yup! Arrived quite quickly with the wine, some nice slices of the Ciabatta bread they also brought for the table. YUMM-O. Just like I remember from Germany. Mains: Lobster (MP) for me and the Foxy cut of the Prime Rib for hubby. Baked Potato and the Cheesy potatoes. All was delicious! And the HUGE salad bar was lovely and included. Now, we opted on dessert to go. Crème Brûlée and Key Lime Cheesecake. Current note, Brûlée tasteless but Key Lime delightful. End. Our bill was $240. My 16-20 oz. Australian Lobster Tail cost $135. Yup, MP [smh]. Sad part, I got two apparently to make the ounces, and it was meaty, but pretty dry and not much flavor, not sweet. However, I do not recall ever having Australian lobster....so buyer beware all around on that one. BUT, we had a lovely night and look forward to trying other items, and that salad bar alone!!! Check this establishment out if you haven't already!!! P.S. Can't believe we forgot to take pics. Sorry.

We walked in and it was really strange we stood there and weren't greeted. It was a crowded Saturday night and the place was packed.. however, there was literally a woman standing there and she said nothing, not I'll be right with you nada... I was a few seconds from leaving but at last we were acknowledged and after finding us a table we were seated. We opened the menu and waited for our server.. we waited and waited some more finally deciding to leave. We didn't even get offered water... I'm a big stickler on service and this place on this day lacked. The interior reminded me of an older Texas road house from California. PSA: The menu is only seafood (crab and shrimp) and prime rib.
