We love this place! We take a "long weekend" trip to Fairbanks once a year, mostly in the winter to have a soak at Chena Hot Springs, and have stopped here on the way back to Fairbanks from Chena 3-4 times now. Pizza is always amazing and my wife commented that it's so good, she could just eat the crust with ranch dressing for her meal. But the sauce, cheese, and pepperoni (we get a double pepperoni) make it great for me. And the location, while remote, is very interesting. Highly recommend! read more

came here because my cousin has been eyeing this place for awhile now. they're only take out - no dine in option so we ordered ahead while we were coming back from Chena Hot spring saw that they also do $5 mini golf which is a steal! wish we knew ! they have a great menu selection of pizzas and shakes! i wish i got a shake :/ honestly the apps were just ok...we ordered the garlic parm wings (didn't really taste that much like garlic parm and it wasn't crispy, just meh) and garlic bread came with sauce and it was nice and chewy/fluffy but not really that flavorful the pizza itself was unique to say the least! the pizza was very hearty but not greasy and flavorful. i wouldn't say it's THE best pizza i've had but it's not bad for being made in an old bus!!! definitely haven't had pizza like this so it was nice to try something new i do have to say it is very pricey for what it is. we ordered 2 large pizzas and 2 apps and it came out to $90. not cheap. at all. i say it's worth trying once if you're out here but you're not missing out if you can't read more

Went back this summer and still a great place to get regional pizzas and subs from all over the place. This summer they've added some new regional foods I recommend you try like a Chicago Dog, pretzels, Banana split Sunday, and a few other things. What a great Saturday night! So worth the drive! This time of year the road is pretty sloppy, just take it slow. The pizza was great. Super yummy. Well made, cheese was evenly melted, some bonus crispy cheese was on the edges of our cheesy bread, very generous with the marinara dipping sauce. These are important details, people! Nice seating area outside, though the mosquitoes were a bit thick. Great value. We had fun with Snapchat while waiting for our order. This place is absolutely worth the drive!!! The pizza is so delicious... specifically the crust! You can tell that the dough is fresh!!! The pizza is a great size and super tasty! Plenty of specialty options. I recommend calling ahead if time to order because it does take about 30-45 minutes! Their apps and desserts are excellent too! Don't leave without a milkshake! We decided to travel out for a pizza to check it out.....it's way out Chena hotsprings rd. Down a goat trail....keep going past the 157th birch tree and here is the pizza bus. We ordered a Philly cheese steak pizza with white garlic sauce. Decided to dive in while driving back to town. OMG. We should have just pulled over to savor it. Not only was it the most beautiful pizza I've ever seen. You could really tell the person making it didn't just throw topping on a half stretched crust. I would venture to say pizza artist??? Anyways this pizza is so worth the 24 ish mile drive I have no problem doing it again. Toppings were plentiful and I was not disappointed!!! read more

Omg this place is so good. It is a little bit of a drive but 1000% worth it. Their pizza is DELICIOUS, the calzones are massive and everything is cooked to perfection. Want dessert? Only tried the Supreme for our first trip, but super delicious. Crust is outstanding. It is hard to find with google maps, but a quick phone call to them got us on the right track. Well worth the drive. Anyone who gives this place a bad rating because they're too stupid to pick up the phone doesn't deserve to eat this good. read more

Wagner's Pizza Bus is our favorite place in Fairbanks for pizza. We go about once a month or so. We've tried everything from the Wings, to the Poutine, Steak and Cheese sub, and don't forget about the pizza! The traditional is enough to keep coming back for but the Chicago and Detroit put them so far above any other pizza place in Fairbanks that we're just addicted to them! The Chicago has an incredible buttery crust to it that's chock full of cheese and topped with sauce. We usually get spinach and mushrooms. We eat two slices and it puts us over the edge! Sooo good. And the Detroit has the burnt edges with the racing stripe of sauce down the middle. We usually get that with just pepperoni. The crunch on it can be heard for miles. We just love the place. Everything we've had is great. In fact, my very first order there, I couldn't decide between the Taco and the Mexican pizza so they said they could combine the ingredients to give me the best of both! It was beautiful but more importantly, it was to die for! The service is always great, the food top notch, and the drive out, what you live in Alaska for! read more

Got a tip from Arctic Car Rentals to stop at Wagner's Family Bistro on our way out to hike Angel Rocks north of Fairbanks. The faded yellow house with the rusting Model A's and T's out front sits all by itself on the north side of the highway just before the Pleasant Valley Store. Great little family run place with a small dining room complete with red checkered tablecloths. We were going to get sandiwches to go for our hike but decided to dine in and have pizza and salads also. Very fresh and delicious. Soaked at the Chena Hot Springs after our hike and then stopped at Wagner's on the way back for ice cream cones, shakes and rootbeer floats. read more

Had the taco and Mexican pizzas and it's worth the drive there is signs up to get to the place, so if you can't find it that's just disappointing. The pizza is beautiful and tastes just as good. If you visit Fairbanks or live here it's a must, don't be lazy and miss out. read more

We love going to the hot springs, it's nice to have a place to stop and eat along the way - especially if you don't want to pay the prices at the Chena Hot Springs Restaurant. We saw so many reviews raving about Wagner's pizza bus so we knew we had to try it. It took us a couple times to find them, finally we were successful! The wait time for pizza is a little long, so next time we will be sure to order ahead. We ordered a large pepperoni and a large white pizza. The white pizza was unlike what we expected for a white pizza and more like garlic bread, it was a bit dry and we couldn't handle the extreme herbs that were on it. I also was wishing for the traditional spinach and artichokes or some sort of topping but it was just cheese. The pepperoni was pretty good, we can't complain about that. Our favorite part was the crust. We will be returning to try the Chicago style that everyone raves about and hopefully it doesn't disappoint. For now, we wouldn't drive out of our way to go to Wagner's pizza bus (from Fairbanks) but if we are hungry on the way to the hot springs we may be back! read more
