Walking in I immediately noticed all the COVID precautions put into place such as plastic dividers, temperature check, masks being worn on all employees and extra sanitary measures. Everything was super clean and I felt comfortable the entire time I was there. The ladies there were super helpful in helping me choose a color. They took their time trying different shades of pink until they found the perfect one that suited me. The tools used for my manicure were taken directly out of the sanitizing machine and other new things such as buffers were used. As for the manicure they took their time and were super gentle during the process of cleaning and filing my nails. My gel manicure came out thin and even. It was going to be the first time she got a mani pedi in the US, and she has lived here for 4 years. When it was time to pay, she gave $40 cash for a $170 treatment, more than the standard 20% tip. And the technician who serviced her proceeded to shame her for not tipping to her liking, saying things like "didn't I do a good job?" and telling her $40 was not enough. While I have personally never been to this salon, I have local friends who are regulars and have recommended it highly to me (which is why I recommended it to my niece's friend). But I guess a 23-year old Pakistani woman straight out of college who drove in from West Haven to treat herself deserves to be treated differently than local Westport white women? I am embarrassed to have sent her to your salon and will be sharing her story widely. Shame on you.

The only reason I'm taking a star off is because this isn't a place you can go to talk to your caretakers, as they don't seem to speak English very well. Price: $65 After one day, one nail broke and after two days another one did. I went back to show them and they applied new tips and powder gel (I used the powder gel this time, even stronger and more efficient than the nail polish gel). They charged me $10. Went back home, the same night, two other nails broke. You can imagine my frustration... I spent $115 for poor quality products, terrible service and, icing on the cake, extremely rude staff: they treated me as if I was forcing them to do my nails! AND they even had the courage to charge me an extra $10 for fixing a job THEY didn't do well in the first place.
