If Elizabethtown misses one thing, good Italian food tops the list. Capri's opened while I was out of town. I came in the first chance I got. First impression. Growing pains. You can tell this place runs new. Culture and efficiency still need work. The restaurant felt dirty. Napkins and silverware all over the bar. Tons of dirty dishes sitting out in the open. The host lacked energy and looked annoyed. She cared more about flirting with her friends than being a good host. The servers never stopped moving. Four servers worked nonstop and looked overwhelmed. However they did it with a smile and everyone got service. Wait time issues. * 7 open tables * 4 people ahead of us * 23 minutes to get seated * 8 minutes before a server came over To be clear. The servers worked their asses off. They carried the entire experience. Food. Caesar Salad - 0/10. Came out in 7 minutes. Worst Caesar salad I have seen. Wrong ingredients. Bad dressing. No excuse, fix it or don't offer it anymore. Red Pepper Potato Soup - 8/10. Came out in 7 minutes. Creamy, Hot, Full of flavor! This surprised me in a good way. Bruschetta. $12. 7/10 - Came out in 12 minutes. Bread was perfect. Flavor was solid, but the Toppings were light. At $12 you expect more on the plate, at $7 or $8 this would feel right. Chicken Alfredo. $22. 6/10. Came out in 26 minutes. Sauce and noodles were good, Heavy garlic and it was delicious.Chicken missed hard; Dry, Bland, No seasoning. Sausage and Pepper Parmigiana. $22. 7/10. Came out in 26 minutes. Best main dish by far. Good flavor, Noodles cooked right. Needed more salt and this could have been perfect. Cannoli. $8. 7/10.Expensive but good, Crispy shell. Tangy rich filling. Best cannoli in Kentucky. Bottom line, I would bring my family here over any chain in town. No question. Once they clean up the service flow, train the host better, and tighten execution, this place has serious potential. Capri's has the ability to become the Italian spot in Etown. If they fix the growing pains, it has the ceiling to become the best restaurant in the city.

We went this past Friday, and had a long wait time- it also was dinner time so it was expected to have to wait. They also are fairly new and we noticed that there were somethings to be worked out, for a better experience but there's grace to be given. It was a little loud, and crowded just because of how busy they were. But I still enjoyed my time there with my family. The bruschetta was delicious, we felt like it needed more of the toppings. The mushroom soup was delicious along with the rolls. I got the penne bolognese and it was outstanding! For dessert I got the lemon cello cake and it was amazing as well! We will be back!

Tried Capri's Italian Restaurant, newly opened in town, and overall had a great experience. We started with the cheesy bread, which was highly recommended, but it didn't quite live up to the hype. While it was crispy and well coated, it wasn't worth the $8 especially since the free warm dinner rolls were actually better. We also weren't offered the garlic oil dipping sauce others have mentioned. The salad wasn't anything impressive. General bagged salad with limited choices of dressings (Caesar, Italian, Ranch, and Thousand Island). Service was attentive, though our waiter was very soft-spoken and hard to hear at times. The entrees were the highlight. The Shrimp Fra Diavolo was excellent; perfect level of heat, large juicy shrimp, and a very generous portion (plenty of leftovers). Only wish the shrimp tails were removed. The Chicken Parmigiana was also a win: tender, well-seasoned, and served with spaghetti and marinara. Dessert options weren't offered, which was a missed opportunity I would've gladly taken something to go. That said, Capri's is a welcome addition to the city. Cozy space, no wait for a 5pm weeknight dinner, and food that's already right on track for a new restaurant. We'll definitely be back and look forward to bringing friends and family.

The salads are one of the best parts and the lobster ravioli are sublime, but pricey. Otherwise, they have combination plates that are very reasonable and no more than what you'd pay it somewhere like the chain Olive Garden. I love the ambience -- it's in an "improving" part of town but once you step inside, it's charming.

I started with a soup, while my brother started with a salad. They were served with these garlic rolls, which were absolutely delicious to eat both alone and with the soup. Then came time for the entrees. I got the Sausage and Pepper Parmigiana, while my brother got the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken. My Sausage and Pepper Parmigiana had a delicious mix of flavor and spice which I enjoyed every bite of, while my brother enjoyed his Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken. Additionally, we had thought from looking online that this would be one of our pricier meals out, but Cafe Italia actually ended up being a great value, as our meals included a soup or salad and rolls, and the portions were so generous, I needed to pack some of my entree away to eat in the morning. In short, we wholeheartly recommend Cafe Italia, both because the food is excellent but also because the portions are so large they are an excellent value. We are glad we chose to go here and would definitely come back here if in the area again.

We wanted Italian. And this looked like the place to go with all five star reviews…read more First the parking. There is a lot of free parking in the adjacent Stadium Park Plaza garage. It's a bit confusing to find the restaurant though from there, as there is no access from the first floor. But from the 2nd and 3rd floor there is access using the elevator. The bulb in the elevator area needs to be replaced because it's burned out, and all dark like a scene from a horror movie. The restaurant faces the ballpark stadium Inside the restaurant there weren't many customers on a weekday for dinner. It was our waitresses second day and she messed up quite a lot. Like the bill/check had us all ordering drinks and extra meat with our pasta, but we didn't do any of that. But she was nice about it all, and even comp'd us a $5 beer which I pointed out to her that she didn't add to the bill yet (that being the one and only omission in the midst of all the wrong add-ons). The fried calamari appetizer was good. Only the rings. No arms. The pomodoro sauce was nice. But overall it was just an average dish and much better at other places. The New York strip was good. But they didn't have asparagus. That would be ok if not for the fact that they only have 3 sides to choose from: roasted potatoes, rice, and asparagus. So it was either double potatoes or the rice. So we got the rice. And it was super boring, and tasted overcooked and chewy. The steak and potatoes were good though. The kid's Alfredo was good too. But the carbonara was kinda bland. The waitress and said it was a white sauce but upon checking it was butter sauce she told us. But it was really not worth it. The complimentary bread they served with the meal tasted like pretzel bread. Kinda hard and chewy. But hot. It was good. It comes with olive oil for dipping. Over $100 for 3 people. It was kinda steep. And add to that a 3% surcharge for using a credit card. Well that really was like salt in the wound. Is all of bowling green like that with credit surcharges? Sure hope not.

We all drank water, soda or tea and they kept our glasses filled. We ordered the pork chop dinner that came with risotto and vegetables. My husband loved the veggies and risotto but was not thrilled with the chop. He wishes he would have asked for a steak knife as it was difficult to cut with the butter knife provided. It was tender enough but neither of us cared for the flavor. I had the Primavera. It was a bit bland. I had to salt it several times. Our favorite part of the meal was dessert. We had a piece of lemoncello cake that was flavorful, creamy and light. We both thought it was great. We had about $20 left on our gift card and were disappointed we couldn't use the balance as the tip. So we ordered two more desserts to bring home to use the balance of the gift card. We brought homemade a piece of Italian cream cake that was as good or better than the lemoncello cake and it was a huge piece of cake. We also have a piece of caramel sea salt cheesecake which was pretty good. It was loud in the small space and a bit difficult to have a conversation across the table. The background music did not help with this issue. The staff were friendly and helpful boxing up our leftovers. Tables have white cloth tablecloths and the owner was making rounds to greet all the patrons which was nice. We discovered there is parking in the back of the restaurant, as so many of the spaces in the area have signs indicating you will be towed if you park there. We had to park on the street about a block down.
