Had this restaurant saved in my favs for awhile. Had a cousin in town and my wife just so happens to say what's for dinner but she already had this place in mind. So off we went passed by this restaurant numerous times and it looks unassuming. But stepping inside it was extraordinarily decorated and dim. We got there during happy hour and the drinks did not disappoint, the bartender was heavy on the pour and if we had more time yeah we would have drank more. The plates and bowl was plentiful and the food was delicious. Service was outstanding as we didn't have to wait long to order or get our food. Did. Ot know they play music on the other side but will be back to check that out. Hidden gem you can't miss.

Hands-down, one of my favorite spots to go to for lunch not too far from work so it works out perfect the food is phenomenal. Delicious. The Service was amazing too

That is the only rating the Fish House deserves. You walk in and are automatically transported out of Miami. It's a little key west and a little New Orleans. This establishment has been in business for thirty years in an era when some establishments can't even last a year after opening. This is a neighborhood spot that serves high quality/fresh seafood, doesn't skimp on portion sizes and is still affordable in a day and age when EVERYTHING is expensive especially in Miami. We had so many dishes and drinks and we still barely scratched the surface of all their menu items. They make all their sauces in house and their little breads too! They also have a BOMB happy hour. AND THE SERVICE! You would expect a place having been around this long to be okay in the service department, but I would look down alto start eating my next dish and the dish we had just finished would already be bussed. Whenever I drank half my water, it was already refilled. Our server Dylan was amazing. And I feel like every 5 minutes or so there was someone asking if we needed something, was cleaning the table, refilling our drinks or getting our next order or recommending something else to try, but they were able to do it without being annoying which is a feat in and of itself. We got there at 6PM and left at closing! We stayed because there's another area called the Backroomlive that owners daughter started! It's a WHOLE vibe. And on Wednesday to Saturday they do live music. if you haven't been? Why not? And if you've been before, when are you going back?! This is an establishment that needs to be in your regular rotation of eating out or ordering in. This is a local mom and pops spot that needs to be in business for another thirty years! So go out and support!

What a gem!!! This place is awesome, just discovered it today and the menu is INSANE! So much variety involving fish and seafood that you are bound to find things you like. They also have live music everyday which is a major plus (mostly jazz and blues). The service was great and the interior makes you feel like you are in Flanigan's, very casual with large booths. Must try this place!

Visited this past Friday for Happy Hour. Had not been here in years. We have been to the one in Key Largo which is also fantastic. Nice and rustic ambiance, definitely seafood related decor. Welcomed to the table with crackers and seafood dip. I could eat a tub of the dip! Ordered two Margaritas for $6 each which were excellent in regular good size mug. Service was very good team effort. Appetizer was conch fritters, rather small, but tasty with dipping sauce. Lobster bisque on point, can eat a 5 gallon bucket of this easily. My wife had the fried shrimp with parsley potatoes. Tasty and enjoyable. I had the shrimp linguini covered in Parmesan sauce. Ate every bit of it even though I should of taken half home. Definitely recommend going for Happy Hour and save half the cost of dinner menu. Almost forgot Cuban Mojito to finish off the meal. Overall, just as good as the first time we came years ago. Go get yourself some !!!

Been wanting to try the fish house for some time now. Finally dropped by today for lunch. The ambiance was really sea food / Florida marine life. It always feels comforting when you see all the fisherman pics and memorabilia in a seafood establishment. The service was good and very attentive. They didn't miss a beat. We tried the lobster bisque soup and New England clam chowder which both very delicious. The steamed clams were fire! We tried the fish creole and fried fish chunks from lunch section on the menu. They both came with 1 side we did the yellow rice. The creole wasn't too flavorful it need more taste to it. It was decent. Besides the creole, everything else was good. The menu is vast so hopefully I'll be back soon to try some plates. Thank you !

We went to the fish house on a Saturday for lunch and the restaurant was fairly empty. We were seated immediately. Our waitress was so nice and attentive and the food came out pretty quickly. They give you a small serving of fish dip when you first sit, I checked in and was able to get the full size for the table. This fish dip is amazing. We ate the entire thing and would definitely order again. For my entree, I ordered the lobster roll and it was loaded with lobster. It's served with warm butter on the side for dipping and it was the perfect touch. Pro tip: dip the fries in the butter

Excellent service, super fresh food. I had a whole red snapper. We also tried the grilled shrimp Parmesan, octopus and fried calamari. The place is very nicely decorated and clean. We were served by Gus.

We grabbed seats at the bar around 2 p.m., because yes... there's almost always a line. That's just how it is here. It wasn't going to be a long wait but we always prefer laid back bar seating for lunch. They've expanded over the years to keep up with the crowds, and the fresh seafood display by the door lets you know exactly what they're so special for. Let's start with the fish croquetas because they're in a league of their own. Hands down the best in Miami. We also ordered cod fritters, and every bite tasted incredibly fresh. Before the entree, they bring out a small cup of soup, either fish or lobster bisque, just enough to warm you up before the main event. I went with Creole shrimp, and opted for salad and fried sweet plantains, while hubby ordered fried fish chunks with white rice and black beans. And let's be clear... you can't leave a Cuban restaurant without ordering black beans. There's something about theirs that tastes like they've been simmering in someone's vieja (that's grandmother) kitchen all day. Pure comfort feels. One thing I really appreciate is the portion sizes. They're generous without being over the top, so you leave satisfied instead of needing a nap in the parking lot. And of course, there's only one proper way to end meals like this: flan and a Cuban espresso. If you're visiting Miami, this is one of those places you simply have to experience.

The only negative is the parking, very close tight spaces in a narrow strip mall area. But once you park its perfect. This is definitely a local Miami spot. No tourists, honestly I don't even want the tourists to find out about this hidden gem, haha. The fish is super fresh and they have fantastic prices. Service is prompt and they work very hard to make everything perfect. Sometimes they pick up your plate a little too quick. You gotta make sure they don't pick up that last little bit of croqueta you had been saving!

Enter fresh Florida fisheries I popped in on Saturday morning and was immediately impressed how fresh all of the seafood looked and how organized it was basically you order at the counter. The staff is super knowledgeable and they will prep your fish for you however you like. Then they give you a number for your order when you pay, and then you wait for your number to be called. I knew I was looking for for tuna, and my eyes definitely wandered at the selection of fish! The person who helped me was super friendly, suggested the amount that I should be ordering for the party size and was able to clean the fish for me. I also thought that the price was super reasonable for fresh locally caught tuna it was 2499 a pound I got a little bit under 3 pounds for just around $70 and it was incredible. I will definitely be back to explore more of the seafood options that they have. Fish is something that I love to eat, but don't often buy from a grocery store because I get a little weirded out at the quality. Knowing that this is so close to my house with high-quality fish for a great price will make me a returning customer for sure. Parking is pretty chill and easy in their front lot and I'm sure you can park down the street if it's a really busy day. Will be back.

If so, I…read morewould have come at a time where I was hungry and for a mere five dollars had them prepare my meal for me. But that being said, I found it to be a very nice fish market. Now there is a huge downside that you immediately encounter when you arrive. The parking lot is exceptionally small and people are parked every which way, except in the spaces. Getting to the actual building will take some time. The neighboring lots have pretty clear signs that they will tell you if you park there. So you're stuck dealing with what it is. The fish variety is good, although not great. If you're looking for strictly local fish, you'll probably find what you want. Several varieties of snapper and the fish looked wonderful and fresh. Some of my favorites like hogfish and grouper. You can buy the whole fish and they'll fillet it for you or you can buy fillets if they have them of the fish that you want. But the part I missed is having them cook it for me. Now that is something I would like to try next time The downside is they strictly local fish. You won't find any flatfish and I was surprised that they did not have any U4 or U6 shrimp which I like to use to make paella. In addition, I did not see fresh scallops. They did have some nice lobster tails although I did not see other shellfish. Some people have said the prices are reasonable; I found them about 20 to 30% higher than other fish markets I visit. The people here are really nice in the market is attractive. I will be back as I said to get a meal cooked for me in part because it is closer than the fish markets I usually visit and also my curiosity after reading other reviews. I recommend this market if you have the patience to wait for a parking space. If you're looking for the larger shrimp for paella look elsewhere
