Tried Black Point Ocean Grill for the first time over Fourth of July weekend. Views were spectacular, calamari was delicious, drinks were great! My only negatives about Black Point Ocean Grill were that the service was a little slow, our waiter would disappear for long periods of time and the music could have been more on theme for the venue in my opinion. But either way, I would definitely come back.

I came here twice within the same week and both visits were great. I ordered the tuna appetizer both times. The second visit is when I asked for the glaze to be left out. The service was great. Jennifer was my bartender since I sat at the bar. I had a few drinks and she was always on point. It's a chill spot tucked away from all the miami mayhem. I will say the parking is confusing because if you don't get a spot directly in the front (which are limited) then the walk is kinda far to the restaurant. They have covered seating and some fans to fight the summer heat. They have a solid menu and the prices are great.

Captain from our snorkeling boat tour recommended this place. We had fish n chip, fish dip and cronch fritters. Fish dip was really a great choice, especially the banana peppers and fresh tortilla chips. Cronch fritters were not my favorite, it's too much dough than the cronch. The batter of the fish n chip was tasteless, the fish meat was quite fresh though. overall, the vibe was great, great location with nice sea view.

I have been coming to this place for years. But I moved to central Florida 4 years ago. Came back today and it still does not disappoint. There's a sign stating you can find your own seats which was a plus for us. They had a table that accommodated our groups of 9 in one tables the views were amazing. The new covered patio was amazing. I remember having to brave the sun to enjoy the food. Our server took our orders fast. And the food came shortly after. Best vibes, lots of tvs and right by the water. Great place to walk around and take some amazing pictures.did I mention the food was delicious. Fresh and so flavorful.

First let me start of by saying this was one of the nicest places we have been to in Miami. The views here were spectacular and I would come here just to have a cocktail and enjoy the views. The service was amazing. Everyone was very attentive. I got the mussels which was an appetizer but it filled me up. It was so good I forgot to take a photo of it. My husband got one of their sandwiches but it wasn't his favorite. The shrimp my friend got was amazing and I kept eyeing her dish lol. The conch fritters were an absolute must try!! It was my husbands first time eating them and he loved it. This is a place I would highly recommend. I heard they have music at night too. I can only imagine the view at night. And there is boardwalks you walk around. Very cool, will be back!!

The last time I was there in March 2025. I was in a wheelchair with many people, my family (4) and two friends from Antigua. My fiends were the first at that restaurant. We had trouble finding a place to seat down, on top floor, all the tables were hightop. There are no seats available for accommodate wheelchair. Quite disappointed...quite frustrating...so, we had to go to the lower floor. I had to take a seat cross-corner, I wasn't that comfortable. Plus, my left hand only works. Our waiter was busy, but kind. I was with my family and my friends, and the waiter said to me, 'You eat too a lot" I ignore him. So, he doubled down... he said, "You eat a lot!" ...all loudly! And we all froze...now, I don't know him and he doesn't know me. I am an eating customer to his restaurant! I was getting a dessert for my second daughter. Why is that such a thing to say? I don't know... I have never been back. Even though I love their Smoked Fish Dip! I get the Smoked Fish Dip every time we come over here. I didn't go and tell a manager. We must have thought it was a joke on his part. But, I was hurt by it. But, It will damage the vacation of our two friends. And, I the one paying for the whole group meal! Maybe next time...

Food is great, easy access by boat & land. Servers are very attentive, and menu is pretty big with options. Definitely a spot to return to.

I came here one time and then line was so long that we decided to go somewhere else. Years later we went in with no wait (Sunday night) and WOW! We absolutely loved everything. We were a party of seven and tried the Caesar salad, wedge salad, smoked fish dip, bacon burger, blackened dolphin tacos, churrasco, salmon, and fish and chips. Everything looked great and tasted even better. I'm still thinking about the fish and chips, they were flaky and buttery. Very fair prices for the drinks too, so we will be back for happy hour some day.

Mediocre food, great view, super nice being on the water. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. We came on a Saturday evening and it was super packed - very few tables!

We brought my sister for her birthday lunch, and from the moment we sat down outside, it just felt right. Blue skies, that warm Miami breeze, the kind of afternoon that makes you slow down and actually enjoy the people you're with. Sitting on the patio along South Dixie Highway, you get that classic local seafood vibe without any pretense. Just fresh air, fresh fish, and good energy. Now let's talk about the service, because it deserves its own spotlight. I'm totally blind, and if you've followed my reviews before, you know I notice how places handle that. Our server was phenomenal. She was attentive without hovering, detailed without being overwhelming, and helpful without a hint of being patronizing. She clearly paid attention to where everything was placed, described the dishes in a way that made them come alive, and made sure I could navigate the table comfortably. That balance is rare. It's professionalism mixed with genuine care. Thank you for that. It mattered. And the food. Wow. We started with the tuna wontons and conch fritters. Both were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly done. The tuna was bright and clean, with just the right crunch from the wonton. The fritters were golden and crisp outside, tender inside, with that classic South Florida seasoning that makes you want "just one more." I had the lobster bisque, and it was rich without being heavy. Smooth, creamy, layered with flavor, and clearly made with real attention to detail. My sister's boyfriend ordered the shrimp tacos, and they were loaded, well-balanced, and packed with fresh seafood flavor. My wife had the grouper fillet, grilled to perfection. I sampled both my sister's blackened fish and my wife's grilled grouper. The blackened had that beautiful, slightly spicy crust that wakes up your palate without overpowering the fish. The grilled version had what tasted like an Old Bay style seasoning that complemented the natural sweetness of the grouper perfectly. Everything was cooked exactly right. Nothing overdone. Nothing rushed. Just quality seafood handled the way it should be. All in all, it was a fantastic birthday lunch. Great service. Great food. Classic South Florida atmosphere. And the best part for us, it's right near home, which means we'll absolutely be back. If you're looking for a relaxed, authentic seafood experience in Miami, Golden Rule Seafood delivers.

The music was nice and people were having a good time. The menu was extensive but in the end, I selected one of the popular dishes; fried snapper with a side of asparagus and red beans and rice (FYI this is considered two items). The fish was fresh, flavorful and plenty. The rice and beans and asparagus were also good. My friends had the Mahi, sliders, Debby side salad and the salmon dish. One person thought the salmon dish was ok, but everyone else was impressed with their own dish. The key lime pie was too tart and sweet for me, but it was good in spite of that. The other guests LOVED it! After brunch, I went to check out the market that offered amazing seasoning, fish, dips and other treats for good prices. Derrick offered excellent service to everyone when it came to welcoming us and selecting fish. I was impressed and will certainly be back. Check them out and enjoy!

She turned around and walked away. It was all downhill from there. A second server who came to take our order wasn't as rude as the first, but still fell short of the kind of customer service I expect at a sit-down restaurant. I ordered scrambled eggs with cheese and tomatoes. The egg was charred black, the cheese unmelted and in clumps, and the whole thing was cold. I'm sure the chef is good at something, but eggs ain't it! I suspect the reason they don't even try is because they know they're getting their money no matter what. That's right, 18% gratuity is automatically included, for service that's worth 0%. But it gets worse, when you get the check they have the audacity to ask for an additional tip. $30+ for two plates of burnt, lame eggs and on our way out no "Bye!" or "Thank you, come again!" I don't usually write reviews except for cases where I can tell a business owner has poured their soul, and savings, into building something special and it's being undermined. Common courtesy and basic politeness don't come naturally to many. That's why before you make them the face of your restaurant THEY MUST BE TRAINED. My friend and I both got Grilled Mahi-Mahi sandwiches. We shared an order of fried calamari and we each had a draft beer. There didn't seem to be any one person waiting on us. The receipt said "Maria," but three of four different women came throughout the meal. The food was ok (standard, nothing amazing) but the service became progressively slower and slower as the evening went on. Finally, when we were finished, it took forever to find someone to get our checks, and even longer to wait for them to pick up the checks and the payment. As you can see from the pics, it wasn't terribly busy, so I don't know what the interminable waits were for. We came for the view - which didn't disappoint - and we did just that. But I won't be rushing back anytime soon, based on the spotty service. There was a DJ there, playing loud Spanish music. It would have been nice to hear a variety of music other than salsa.
