You can tell they take pride in what they serve. The atmosphere was laid-back and comfortable, with a nice vibe that makes it easy to relax and enjoy your meal. What really made the visit stand out was the service. Our server, Andre, was excellent--super friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. I came here twice within the same week and both visits were great. I ordered the tuna appetizer both times. The second visit is when I asked for the glaze to be left out. The service was great. Jennifer was my bartender since I sat at the bar. I had a few drinks and she was always on point. It's a chill spot tucked away from all the miami mayhem. I will say the parking is confusing because if you don't get a spot directly in the front (which are limited) then the walk is kinda far to the restaurant. Fish dip was really a great choice, especially the banana peppers and fresh tortilla chips. Cronch fritters were not my favorite, it's too much dough than the cronch. A very laid back relaxing and simple setting located right next to the water with a Florida Keys feel to it. We loved watching all the boats go by. There is some parking by the front but very little and often you will have to park and walk but you can easily drop people off at the front while you are looking for a place to park. We came when it was slow so we were able to sit ourselves and we had service right away. Barbie was our waitress and she was nothing less than amazing. We ordered mostly appetizers and some meals. We had their fish dip, conch fritters and dolphin sandwiches which were all very good. The noise level was moderate. We were able to easily have conversations. We never felt rushed to leave so we were able to enjoy our afternoon with friends with a great atmosphere and food. We would definitely be back. read more

There's a sign stating you can find your own seats which was a plus for us. They had a table that accommodated our groups of 9 in one tables the views were amazing. The new covered patio was amazing. The fries tasted like they had been sitting around since the day before--stale and far from fresh. This meal went in the trash along with my money. First let me start of by saying this was one of the nicest places we have been to in Miami. The views here were spectacular and I would come here just to have a cocktail and enjoy the views. The service was amazing. Everyone was very attentive. I got the mussels which was an appetizer but it filled me up. It was so good I forgot to take a photo of it. We had the grouper sandwich and shrimp platter. My daughter had linguine with seafood of some kind, but I don't remember. Hard to write a view without pictures, but I can say the food is always solid, yet somehow everything tasted even better this visit. There was a strong sense of nostalgia for me being here. The last time I came was before my mother passed, and sitting there with that same view brought back so many memories. I have eaten here many times and everything, I mean, everything is delicious. The service has always been exceptional! I went for a friends' birthday a couple of weeks before Christmas. I had two of the voodoo juice which is AWESOME! My son-in-law recommended it, so I took a sip of his before I ordered. It comes in a cute little bucket. I don't know exactly what is in it but it's really good! For appetizers we ordered the conch fritters, calamari, spinach and artichoke dip, and the cracked conch. I'm not a fan of calamari or conch but it was good and those who love it, raved about it. The dip and the fritters were my go to and they were delicious. I have never eaten anything here that isn't top notch. You can taste the freshness. But, of course, consider where you are lol For my entree I had the crunchy grouper sandwich, also a recommendation from my son-in-law and WoW! I couldn't eat the whole thing and I thought it was even better, if that is possible, the next day when I heated it up in my air fryer for lunch. All in all, you can never go wrong at Black Point Ocean Grill inside the Black Point Marina. The last time I was there in March 2025. I was in a wheelchair with many people, my family (4) and two friends from Antigua. My fiends were the first at that restaurant. We had trouble finding a place to seat down, on top floor, all the tables were hightop. There are no seats available for accommodate wheelchair. Quite disappointed...quite frustrating...so, we had to go to the lower floor. I had to take a seat cross-corner, I wasn't that comfortable. Plus, my left hand only works. Our waiter was busy, but kind. I was with my family and my friends, and the waiter said to me, 'You eat too a lot" I ignore him. So, he doubled down... he said, "You eat a lot!" ...all loudly! And we all froze...now, I don't know him and he doesn't know me. I am an eating customer to his restaurant! I was getting a dessert for my second daughter. Why is that such a thing to say? I don't know... I have never been back. Even though I love their Smoked Fish Dip! I get the Smoked Fish Dip every time we come over here. I didn't go and tell a manager. We must have thought it was a joke on his part. But, I was hurt by it. But, It will damage the vacation of our two friends. And, I the one paying for the whole group meal! I came here one time and then line was so long that we decided to go somewhere else. Years later we went in with no wait (Sunday night) and WOW! We absolutely loved everything. We were a party of seven and tried the Caesar salad, wedge salad, smoked fish dip, bacon burger, blackened dolphin tacos, churrasco, salmon, and fish and chips. Everything looked great and tasted even better. I'm still thinking about the fish and chips, they were flaky and buttery. Black Point is one of those restaurants you go to because you either live in the area, used their marina, or wanted a beer and some bar food by the water. It's nothing out of this world, the food is alright and the service is hit or miss. Sometimes I just want to sit by the ocean, drink a cold beer and vibe, but I get eaten alive here! The food itself is alright, nothing you're returning for and the drinks are just like the staff, hit or miss - unless you just get a beer. I like coming on the nights where there's live music, but like I said, unless I'm really in need of some salt water and a beer, I'm not going out of my way to come here. read more

I came to the black point marina for the view and the food, but I must say I ordered the shrimp scampi and it was a total disappointment. It was very waterery and very bland the only thing you could taste was the parsley! The moment I say it I knew it was not good. There was nothing buttery and garlicky of the shrimp scampi ! They day was perfect and the beer was so so cold , I did complain and returned my food if you could call it that! It was a very busy day and a lot of clients but the plate I will pay for should not be released like that to the customer! total turn off the waiter however was understanding and offered something else I ate an appetizer because I was hungry and I was there! But honest truth some tacos at the flea market would have been tastier and worth paying what they charged. Also let me comment on the yuca bites I ordered bland bland bland the dip was basically sour cream and chives and when I tried to add a little salt it was wet , no toilet paper no hand towels in the bathroom I feel that this was a total waste I ate the yuca but they really should make a better dip just get a recipe from YouTube. For my birthday we decided to have dinner at the ocean grill in black point We've been going to black point ocean grill for years and the food has always been great and the view of the water and boats coming in and out is so relaxing. We went right before sunset so the view was amazing. The food was great but they did forget to put in my meal so I had to wait longer for it to come out but it was worth the wait . The service on the other hand was not the best . I assume he was a bit overwhelmed because we always had to flag him down to ask him for the simplest things , More drinks , missing food . It just seemed like it must have been his first day or he was just not paying attention. Then at the end he just couldn't get our checks right . He didn't take the time to ask us if the checks were going to be all together or separate so when it came time to pay the bill he didn't know what went on what bill. It Took us a while but we finally figured it out. I will definitely continue to go back to black point ocean grill and hopefully the service will be better the next time around . SM read more

Not gonna lie, I didn't look at the ratings before coming because a local at a nearby venue recommended this place stating "the freshest seafood". The fried fish was quite good and so was the shrimp. The fish dip was really good too but the salad did not look as fresh as I generally like it. The cucumbers and onions were dry on the outside like they had been prepared several days ago or left out all day. The cherry tomatoes were old and wrinkled on the outside. I don't think salads are a frequently requested menu item here. I also don't think the waiter really looked like he wanted to be there and lacked on a few things. The service and food were average but I did like the view though. This place is okay but a slight improvement in attention to detail would give this place 4 stars. As for now, it's a solid 3.5 stars. read more

It was a great vibe and ambiance has multiple levels lowest level closest to the water. Really enjoyed having a mojito and beer. Love this place! About an hour from Miami Airport. The vibe is so chill. The view of the boats in the marina is so relaxing! The service is amazing without hovering over you! When you enter the premises you choose where you want to sit. There are 3 levels and a bar. I believe all levels have a view of the water. The first time I stopped in for lunch. It was great came back the following day to watch the NFL Wildcard games. They have buckets of beer, great drink specials. They make a drink in a bucket. It's over 16 Oz of different flavored Bacardis. Delicious! I had the fried grouper sandwich on one day and the blackened flounder dinner entree the next. My family was very happy with all their food. The fries were crispy. They lived their burgers. They enjoyed their bucket drinks and the Captain Morgan specials. While watching the games they gave out Dolphins swag! The manager Jesus was amazing!
