I bought a iPhone case with lens protection which was advised by a man staff in the store at 3pm Aug. 7. The case looks good and service was nice. But I noticed it didn't work because the case covered a small portion of the Len that gave a shadow on the photos. I went back to ask for exchange Aug 8 before 3pm. The lady was so rude and told me that no exchange after seven days and the only option she gave me was buying another one. Fortunately, the man who sold me the case came back and did the exchange for me. There's no sign saying no exchange after 7 days in the cashier and the receipt says no refund ( not "no exchange" ) after 7 days of purchase. Avoid. Feel like I should warn folks about the way this shop's owner does business. Summary, they scam you for a nickel if they can. Needed a screen replaced on my kids MacBook. They offered a refurb screen for the fix. I was ok with that. Wife and went to pick it up. Got the laptop and no Apple Logo on the case. He said he had explained that and he couldn't do anything. He did not. I called the store and said I had a question about the laptop she picked up and he said he couldn't discuss another customer's business. I explained she was just picking it up. I didn't realize the word games had started. I explained who I was and the nature of the question. He repeated himself saying he could not help and hung up. So I go to the mall and the guy won't discuss it with me in person at first. Won't look up even. Totally aggressive and weird. I said I wanted the lid with the logo. Told him it was my properly and I was gonna get it back. He kept repeating that he had said replacing the screen meant no apple logo. I told him I wanted my computers lid back. He said it was broken during removal. I said fine, give it to me. Then he said it threw it away. I said, I'm not leaving without my property. He sat there for a while working on a phone. Then he got up, opened a sealed box that had been prepped for shipping. He unpacked my screen and handed it to me. Clearly misleading people to snag an Apple case to resell. Came here to fix my phone. The store is small, neat & fully stocked with products. I went to the only counter, in the back, to inquire about some issues my phone was having, and the lady who was sitting there was eating, lol. Now I completely understand the need for food but maybe go in the back of the store to eat. There were three employees working so I don't understand why she had to eat at the counter?! I mention this because I had to wait for her to put her food down, wipe her hands & finish chewing before she could speak to me. Even though she was friendly and had a big smile on her face, it was very off-putting & made me feel like I was interrupting her. This overshadowed my experience because she continued to eat at the counter/cash register while she worked on fixing a phone (she's eating & doing repairs)! Another gentleman jumped in and assisted me while she just smiled with her hands & mouth full, lol. Sorry, but no one wants food soiled hands on their phone or to deal with someone who has a mouth full of food. I laugh because it was sawkward The gentleman took care of me right away but his demeanor was a bit interesting and I couldn't tell if he was genuinely trying to be helpful or was actually being sarcastic & lecturing me about my phone issues. I came here for help because they are the experts, not me, but I left feeling unsure what to make of the whole experience; I did indeed feel lectured but would like to think positively that he is just like that & was truly trying to be helpful. Obviously, customer service could be improved upon but I will say that all in all, I was helped in a timely manner and they were polite enough. This place is a scam. 25 years with various phones, iPads, etc. I brought my first ever cracked iPad screen to be repaired; 5 days of usage later, the screen is cracked and chipped at two places on the edges. Buyer beware. I have an iPhone 6s. I brought it to the store for a rugged cover and they sold me one with a pop socket. It was a pretty pricey cover because of the pop socket knob. Within two months the knob broke off. I brought it back to the store for a replacement. The young lady behind the counter told me the best she could do was give me five dollars off a new rugged cover or she could glue the old one back on for me. When you go to Montgomery Mall and pay top dollar for an item you expect the merchant to make good on the product or replace it if it fails shortly after you buy it. You don't receive a firm quote and staff is callous, unconcerned, and arrogant. I went to get a quote for replacing one of my three back camera lenses in the middle of the week and when I returned on the weekend I was up charged by $30. The technician at the desk had 2-3 phones lined up so I'm inclined to believe he rushes through his work. When I went to retrieve my phone after it had been "repaired," I was given an old lens that does not match the original lens for my model and my camera was dirty (I did not notice this issue until later that night when I tried to take pictures and they were blurry on the right side and specks showed up when flash was used). So I unfortunately had to return to the store. I asked the technician to simply wipe the camera and put the lens back on. The technician tried to wipe my lens off with a wipe and tried to tell me my camera was fine. Once the technician gave up on talking to me he stood aside so the clerk could take over and apparently what I was asking for was too tedious of a job (those were his exact words, aka they were lazy about fixing their work). I demonstrated my issue with live pictures taken in the store and by showing the dust on the camera, underneath the lens, with a flashlight yet they found nothing to be wrong. I then went to Apple for a professional opinion and was told my camera is dirty, and my phone needs to be repaired- just as I thought because the specks of dust are visible! I would not go here unless you are willing to watch the technician repair your device. After these dreadful encounters I didn't even want to ask for a refund to save myself from the additional headache. P.S. Having the owner dispute every bad review online is a really bad look on their part, take that into account before giving them business. read more

I happily spent $40 on a premium screen protector for my phone, that took 20 minutes to apply. It was so poorly put on that it lifted off the next day, so I brought it back in immediately. They refused to do it again without charging me another $30. They blamed me and said I didn't give it enough time to dry, but I had waited until the woman who applied it said it was ready. Doesn't matter, it should not lift off after one day. Terrible customer service. I won't be back. They are good for replacing screen protector and phone cases ONLY. Do not go for any repairs, they over charge and your phone will have other issues after wards. I am giving them 2 stars cuz I was a regular customer when Maria used to help me and even gave me discounts for being return customer. Since she has left this place going down the hill. People who go there just for screen protector replacement, Amazon sells it with the whole kit...it's so easy to do it yourself and you pay more than half of their price. read more

The Fix has been able to save multiple iPhones that Apple had asserted were"unfixable," then they were able to replace the battery on an old Droid turbo extending it's life. After doing the last update from Apple, my MacBook Air wouldn't power up...Apple said, "it's dead, we can offer you a 10% discount"...two (2) other Mac repair claimed it couldn't be fixed, but experts at the Fix said "if I would give them the time they believed they could fix it" Just picked it up and the minimal cost for repair was shocking. They truly saved me over $1,000. And that would have only gotten me a new entry-level unit as opposed to the beefed up machine I had been using for the last few years. The Fix had the right replacement battery for my 6 year old phone and put it in in less than 30 minutes. The price was right (less than 60% of the Apple Store's). At first glance the place does not seem super organized but the staff is busy, on task, helpful and competent. The technicians are able to multi-task and get a lot done. As I happened to be walking by the store I swung in to replace my iphone protective case. Unfortunately they had no clear cases so I reluctsntly purchased a colored one. I was NOT told beforehand that it could not be returned though I was " helped" by 2 different employees. I was however asked by the credit card machine to leave a tip which I found strange but nevertheless did so. I left the store & went to drop something off at another store & returned within 20 minutes having decided that I really disliked my colored case & wanted to return it. I was told - only then- that there are no returns & despite the fact that there is No signage attesting to same, the man informed me that it is right on the receipt I signed. I reminded him that I paid by credit card reader & I saw no mention of anything beyond the tip request! Apparently The Fix is a franchise operation & this one has bizarre business practices ( not a varied inventory, tip requests & a no return policy) so I encourage you to go to a different one- such as Wheaton's. read more

I was just at The FIX with my daughter. She needed a new screen on her iPhone and a screen protector. When we paid and they gave us the phone she noticed her phone was green. We went back to the lady working there and asked why it was green. Her response was "it's an after market screen" if you want a better quality it will cost more money!! My wife and I have come to The Fix a few times for phone cases and screen protectors, but our last visit today was subpar. (Literally) Before we knew it, a clear XR case and screen protector were $47!!! The last screen protectors were ~$15 each but today the store sales person grabbed a more expensive screen-protector and swiped our credit card while we asking about the higher than expected price. My son had a cracked iphone screen repaired at the Fix. Maria replaced the screen but the fit wasn't perfect. I didn't notice it but she said this slight issue could cause problems in the future so she swapped it out for a different aftermarket screen that was a better fit. Her speed, friendliness, and attention to detail was outstanding. Later we came back with an unrelated issue with the same phone. Maria immediately recognized us as repeat customer. Big big thank you to the good people at The Fix. On my way to work, my phone screen on my iPhone just dies out. I pop open my case and notice water was pocketing in their leading me to believe it's water damage. I spend half my day calling almost every phone repair location within a 20 mile radius. All of them were terrible. Some were rude. Some were WAY over priced. One even required 24 hour notice before coming in. What? I work behind the mall that The Fix is in and I thought I'd pop in. Best service ever. The young boss lady cut in while I was explaining in a panicky annoying tone, and she assured me that they would take care of it, and if the problem wasn't just what she had expected, I could just hold off and there would be no charge for checking. Mind you, a couple location charges for diagnostics- $60 just to check! At the end, everything worked. I paid a very fair price. AND I was in and out within 15 minutes. Staff was beyond friendly and outgoing. They pretty much walked me through everything so I wasn't just standing around waiting. Could not be happier with the service. read more

Don't go here for an iPhone battery replacement. They replaced my battery 2 times and both batteries didnt hold a charge as long as my original battery. Even though they have a 1 month warranty on batteries, they just keep replacing them with a battery that dies not hold a charge. And to top it off, after being told I would still be able to see my battery health, it is not the case. So, there is no way that you can tell if your phone battery was replaced with a new battery or a used battery. DO NOT pay To have your battery replaced here! read more

I got all I needed from here - cheap ($90) and quick (20m) iPhone 7 screen change. But quality of the screen - brightness and contrast, touch feeling- is really so much poorer than original. 3D touch is so dull now. Every single touch became stressful. Pretty much a totally different phone. I think it is not a problem of this specific store but of all copy products though. Not sure about the post below but I had the opposite experience! The Fix definitely took care of me! My son and I were having lunch at the food court and he dropped my phone on the floor... which shattered my screen! I immediately went here and The Fix fixed my phone within the hour! They even put my phone screen on for me (I added one because this kid lol). They have sooo many cases and I wanted to go with the otter box (again because of this kid lol) I'm a big amazon prime customer. So I compared pricing and it was the exact same thing! My daughter bought a phone case for her brother as a Christmas gift. She left the store and showed it to me and I told her that he had actually just gotten a new case. She turned around and went right back in the store. Keep in mind this whole thing happened within 5 minutes. She explained to them what happened. They pointed to the no refund sign. I have worked retail, and I certainly understand general store policy, but exceptions can be made and this request was not unreasonable. With a demeaning and very condescending attitude, they told her that their system would not even allow a refund. They followed it up with "Your complaining over only $20?". My negative review is not over the store policy, but the disrespect and lack of integrity of the employees.
