I had a great experience at the fixery. I was quick to be taken care of despite the popularity of the day to get watches fixed. Excellent customer service and great prices. Will definitely be back and will recommend people here!

I went here for a battery replacement on a watch. They were kind, quick (minutes), and cheap (under $10, I think).

I thought it closed a few months ago?

I went by there today (5/7/2024) and there's a salon in there. I also googled The Fixery and one of the hits noted it was closed. I called the # (651-690-5524) listed and it's disconnected.

Once we picked our item up, August helped us which made our experience way better. If you are looking to get good service on a meaningful piece, do not bring it here, even as a first time customer, their attitude was so bad that I felt as if my item (which has been in my family for decades) was going to be disrespected and treated with the same lack of care as our initial interaction with Fasila was. You are better of going someplace else.

My husband purchased my wedding ring and band with Michelle at Gloria's and since then they have been amazing with customer service, quick replies, and providing different options for resizing, cleanings, etc. My ring is gorgeous and I can't imagine a better design. Walking in, I immediately felt as if I were intruding. The older woman "helping" me begrudgingly took a minimal glance at my pieces and told me they were worthless with no explanation. I truly wasn't expecting anything extraordinary in terms of value and had expressed that. The signs and reviews indicate that Gloria's is an establishment that buys pieces so I assumed that this was a hospitable environment to evaluate things I was curious about. I simply wanted ANY piece of information, and was denied. She told me that she "wasn't going to go over the details," which is suspicious in itself. If that were the case, I would have wished she had told me she couldn't look at them in the first place and saved us both the time. It wasn't a timing issue, my partner and I were the only customers in the store from arrival until departure. I am young and a minority, I was openly uneducated about the jewelry, and I can't help but feel as if that all amounted to her poor treatment of me. She claimed to have decades of experience, but her patience and decorum did not emulate that. Taking myself away, everything else amounted to the feeling of something scammy and cold, which is a shame.

I first visited this store at the recommendation of a sales associate at JC Penny. I needed the battery of my watch replaced. A middle-aged lady told me a new battery would cost $24.99. I asked if she could give me a lower price, since I knew from past experience that replacing the battery for my watch should only cost $8-$15. She insisted that $25 was standard. I went with it, and came back 30 minutes later. She told me that my watch didn't need a new battery -- the movement needed to be fixed. She quoted me $75-$85. I said I'd think about it. Then I went back again today -- a month later. This time, an older man who was working on a piece of jewelry, stopped what he was doing, and asked what I needed help with when he saw me waiting. I asked if he could repair the movement. He opened up my watch, said that there was no battery in there, and suggested that my watch only needed a battery. And it worked! He charged me $15.99. He added that if there were any problems with the movement or battery, I could bring it back, and he would give me a 15% discount. I'm not sure what happened to the battery that was supposed to be in my watch, or why that lady insisted that the movement needed to be repaired, but I am SO GLAD that I waited. (Also, I saw a couple there who were repeat customers. The man was wearing a shiny new watch. Well, it looked new, but he had it polished here.) *** If you need some jewelry polished or repaired, please give this place a try BUT make sure you are speaking directly with the older man who works at this store.
