DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE, my boyfriend and I came at 12:30am and waited 35 minutes (after being told 10-15 by the awkward black cashier at the front) for the NASTIEST breakfast platter and hamburger I've ever had. The bacon was burnt, my hash brown was RAW on the inside, TOAST WAS GREY??? I asked for cheese on my hashbrown (which I was charged for) and guess who got no cheese? Just rubbery ass eggs and a sad ass piece of cheap cheese. The pancakes? FLAVORLESS AND DENSE LIKE A ROCK. My boyfriend's burger was the driest, most tasteless thing we've ever tried. It was HORRIBLE and I'm saying this as a burger lover...McDonalds is better than this place. I called back the next morning and requested to speak to a manager and the awkward cashier "took my information" for the manager but guess who was never called? $$50 down the drain on this garbage establishment. PRO TIP YOUR COOK SHOULDNT BE ON THE GRILL WITH HIS AIRPODS IN, CHECKING HIS PHONE PERIODICALLY, maybe if he paid better attention your food wouldn't suck. I live this place. The perfect little hole in the wall gem that I always saw when I was younger. I'm so sad I waited so long before trying this place. Everything is delicious. Breakfast is great, pancakes are larger than your face, burgers are delicious and fries are perfectly salted. Add the extras to your eggs - ask for hot sauce on the side if you prefer a spice! Food has seldom been an issue, however my last visit I ordered four pancakes and a cup of coffee coffee was the 4 pancakes came reasonably quickly, and I never saw the waitress again! One cup of coffee four pancakes 20% tip $13! I finally got around to coming here after almost 40 years. It's the new location. The AC was perfect as it was a blistering day but not Arctic inside. I wanted a simple cheeseburger minus the famous onion. Cottage fries were fair and I ate a couple. The burger was delicious with the char flavor. I ordered a sprite and it had loads of crushed ice that was much appreciated on a day like this. Great service from many hands. I was even impressed with the 2 handicapped bathrooms up front. Cheap, good quality, and friendly service My girlfriend and I have become semi-regulars after having to find a place that didn't close at 5pm on a weekday (hint; it was almost impossible). I've ordered the chicken tenders many times, and have always had leftovers to bring home, and have tried some of the breakfast (waffles and ice cream that they split in half for my girlfriend and I without us needing to directly ask! Very nice) and burger options (mushroom and swiss was great, the cook was very sweet and joked with us the whole time). I love this location with a passion !! I am a fan for diners. This is truly one of MN'S hidden gems. They also are super convenient because Minnesota lacks in restaurants open late at night. Third time we took family who came in from out of town, things were good, not great During our fourth visit today, around 1:30, we arrived. A few times when the server was in the middle of checking in with us (including when she took our order), she walked away without explanation or apologies. Four of our five plates came out -- we had to ask for the fifth meal, which arrived lukewarm. We ordered a churro waffle for the table to split, and though we specified CHURRO waffle several times when ordering, we only got a plain waffle. Based on my first experience, I LOVED this place. Congratulations on the new location along Rice Street in Little Canada! The decor is fresh and inviting. However, the music that was playing did not fit the motif at all. (Please consider playing music more suitable to a traditional diner, such as 1950s and 1960s music.). The food was good, reasonably priced, and prepared quickly. The staff were friendly and attentive. However, the bathrooms were badly in need of attention (dirty fixtures and mirrors, no paper towels, litter on the floors, etc.). This was a little disconcerting since "employees are required to wash hands before returning to work." The parking lot and areas around the restaurant were strewn with litter as well. Flameburger could be the perfect all-American diner, but the management needs to rethink the music diners hear and CLEAN the bathrooms and the parking lot area regularly in order to keep customers wanting to come back. read more

Amazing food here, and a great retro interior: an old style S shaped counter where servers can connect with every patron. Burgers have an amazing grilled flavor, as if from a family backyard grill. I took my food home which was a 2 minute drive and dug in. the first couple bites were good until the meat started tasting....gross. So much to say, nothing short of perfect. Where to start, from the friendly sassy server to the extremely cheap flapjacks. Me and my pal each got a burger as well as shared 6 of their god crafted, fluffy as a cloud, tender, moist pancakes. Not only that, but the California burger was absolutely perfect. I loved every bit of it from the warm bun to the tender perfectly cooked meat, all the way to the crispy crinkle cut fries. This establishment provided me and my friends something to do other than float around the local Taco Bell, which itself is plenty. Flameburger went above and beyond in their food quality, pricing, service, and ambience. However, the only caveat is the shortage of water that my table suffered. We went thirsty for about 15 min in the middle of my amazing pancakes, however it was quickly amended by a quick request to the server. The server Laila, I don't know if she was having a bad day or something, but once we got our drinks, we didn't get straws, the people next to us got straws. Once we got our food, we didn't get no silverware and had to wait for her to come back to ask for silverware and napkins and straws. When we sat down our waitress told our table it would be a 40 minute wait for food. We said that was fine. She only told our table no one else that walked in after us. The same waitress ended up taking an order for the table that was seated after us. At the end she never gave us our bill after we asked her twice. We did not mind waiting 40 minutes for our food or if service was slow but the customer service was terrible. Also, food was not good. My bacon was super burnt and tasted like propane. Tonight my group (6 people) decided to eat at The Flameburger. We have been here before. The food was decent and service was decent. Tonight we had a few mix ups and EXPIRED FOOD. All of our burger buns had MOLD and the utilities were DIRTY. The waiter had us take our meat and onions out the burger and swap it out with new buns. From the time waiting for the mold issues to be corrected and not receiving our orders correctly, our fries were cold. Over all the experience today was a hassle and really not worth the time just to eat a burger with fries. read more
