I ordered an iced vanilla latte, and it was crafted to absolute perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. The vibe inside is super laid-back, making it a great spot to just unwind. I was craving an espresso martini, and the barista/bartender let me know they make a modified version with sake. Love that the Flamingo opens at 7am... This was our first stop in and it was pleasant. The young lady working the bar was super friendly and offered great suggestions. The breakfast sandwich was delicious. The matcha was a seasonal flavor of brown sugar, rosemary and orange ( I think )... wild combo of flavors... But all seems to work well together. The vibe was cozy and welcoming. Mix bag of clientele which is great!! The music was a little loud for my early morning brain, but the selection of music was awesome. I will return!! read more

WHAT A VIBE. We've been past The Flamingo multiple times and finally stopped in for an afternoon cold brew. I'm so glad we finally did because I am truly in love with this gem! Not super hidden but not super obvious, once you find it and walk inside you just feel happy and *good vibes only*. The Flamingo is a very cool, vibey coffee shop/bar. It's dimly lit with fun decorations and about 4 small tables, a sofa and a bar counter. The barista was nice and we got quick service. We ordered an oatmilk honey cold brew and a chai latte. We also got a delicious dark chocolate chip cookie with seat salt. The cold brew was good but the chai latte was not our favorite. There was too much milk and it tasted really bland and watered down. I thought this was a really cool spot. It's definitely not ideal for studying or work due to the low lighting and small tables. But it's a great place to chat and get a drink. They were also streaming some great TV shows. read more

So I'm not a big coffee guy but Ashley loves a local coffee shop so every time we find ourselves in Murray Hill we have to stop in. Now not being a coffee fan you would think The Flamingo has nothing for me but that's where your wrong. They have a few beers on tap and also have cans, bottles, and wine too. This time I get a bottle of their Orange Wine. I glass was if I remember correctly was $13 and the bottle was $28 so had to go for the bottle plus their were 4 of us so plenty to share with. This is my favorite coffee shop in Jax! We are hooked on this coffee and even buy the beans to make it at home. The bird blend and the costa rica single origin beans are both great. A perfect, strong, and smooth cup of coffee. I especially like going to The Flamingo because the baristas are very friendly and laid back, and there is always a different vibe. Sometimes there is loud metal music, other times rap, and sometimes dance music that makes you feel like you're in the club! This place is one of a kind. I love that I can get my americano made with sparkling water and it is still reasonably priced. Some other places in Jax charge you for a bottle of topo chico and an Americano and it ends up being double the price. I've also ordered a glass of rose and a glass of malbec before and both were great. I did meet someone here for the first time and we felt like we were yelling since it was so loud, but it is not always like that in there. There is free street parking out front. I highly recommend this coffee shop/wine bar in Murray Hill! read more

I needed a place to hang out before an appointment, so I came in here for a brief visit. I thought they served only alcohol, so when I saw they had coffee, I was pumped for a coffee break! I talked with the friendly bartender/barista and after asking about the different flavors he recommended the guava latte. I am all about fruity flavors so I decided to try it out. He made it for me right there And even put some art into my foam you can either start a tab or close out your order. I decided to sit at the bar and drink my coffee. A killer watering hole has opened in Murray Hill and it's called The Flamingo. It's the new locals hang out that the neighborhood needed. It's quaint, charming and a place that has taken off running since opening. They serve beer and wine, and rumor has it that they serve $4 grilled cheese. Um hello, I'll take seven! Keep in mind, it's a small bar, so they don't serve liquor and they have about 10 beers on tap. Not all local, but they have some solid varietals in cans and tall boys. Just ask your barkeep! The vibe here is incredibly laid back and to be honest, that's what I appreciate most about this place. It's run by a few young guys who've been in the service industry for years. Weekends and Jags game might get overcrowded in the tiny space, so if crowds ain't your thing, make an appearance during happy hour. Which happens to be every day! Service was horrible came in for a coffee and waited 25 mins and I was told pour overs take 5 mins the waitress didn't show any remorse for my waiting time finally just left after 30 mins. I stopped by to grab a coffee after looking through Yelp for local coffee shops. This place had such good reviews, so I trusted it. To my surprise, it was more like a bar, not a coffee shop. I was confused and thought maybe I walked into the wrong place, like maybe the coffee shop was next door and I walked into the wrong one... but, nope. So, I went ahead and ordered my coffee and went on my way. My drink was terrible, I threw it away and stopped somewhere else instead. Honestly my #1 favorite place to get coffee in all of riverside, coffee is amazing, people are great, atmosphere is lovely. However today we had the most awful experience because of this employee. I didn't bother to get his name as his disrespectful gestures were beginning to slightly anger my boyfriend. But he was the only one with long hair in a small bun under his hat. Two of my best friends come here daily and after telling them about my experience this morning they also informed me that (this specific employee) is always impolite and ill-mannered to them as well. I normally never take the time out of my day to write something so negative, but we love this place and this guy just kinda ruined our morning for no reason... We were just trying to get some coffee.
