The first thing is that the place was about 2/3 full and they seem pretty well staffed in the front of the house. There were 2-3 bartenders behind the bar at all times. After we ordered (2 cups of lobster bisque and bread), our server apologized and told us there was a large party in their private room and the chef was having a hard time keeping up. I can't imagine they normally only have one person preparing all of the food on a normal Saturday evening! It took no less than 45 minutes from when we ordered to get our food. Some olives or something would have been nice. My mom also had to wait 15 mins for her 2nd glass of wine. I'll tell you, we weren't going to order anything else after that! There was some really nice classical guitar music by a live musician. I tipped him on our way out. After we left, we noticed a $5 entertainment charge! Is this a norm in Colorado? I would think we would be informed upon entering if there's a cover fee or an additional charge. I would have been happy to pay it, but we should have been informed.

Round 2...steaks were AGAIN cooked well done! This was a re-do so one would think extra effort would have been made...NOT! It was Saturday evening and by the time we had sat down to eat again it was 9:00. Called them back but they were already closed. Okay...so we'll take them back Sunday...NO CAN DO, closed on Sunday! Doesn't open until 4pm Monday. Husband takes them back for a REFUND this time only to be told "they've done all they can do" REALLY? I don't think you even came close! If you're going to charge people $29 for a steak THEN hire kitchen staff that knows how to cook them as the paying customer requests! There's a HUGE difference between MR & WD and if you can't cook it accordingly then you should not have steak on your menu!! Since you find yourself in the position of "doing all you can do" then you leave me no choice to "do all I can do" and that will be to dispute the charge with my financial institution! For a business that operates in the food industry, hospitality & customer service Monroe's needs a refresher course ASAP! Staff was pleasant but whoever made the decision to not do the right thing and refund the steaks that weren't edible after the second time & the steaks were brought back to you uneaten, then I'll do the honors of exercising my opinion on every social media platform I can. Would NOT recommend this restaurant! If you want a great steak, frequent a good steakhouse!

I have had the opportunity to speak personally with Jeff, the owner, and it is incredibly clear how much he cares about creating a place where all families and all kids feel welcome, included, and valued. That commitment shows in the environment he has created and, even more importantly, in the people he hires and retains. The staff here are consistently kind, patient, engaged, and wonderful with kids. You can tell that culture starts at the top. I especially have to recognize MJ, who has become someone very special to our family. Our first experience with him was on the ropes course with my daughter. She needed some extra encouragement and patience, and MJ gave her both without hesitation. Despite having plenty of other responsibilities, he took the time to make her feel comfortable, capable, and proud of herself. He never rushed her or made her feel like she was holding anyone up. He simply met her where she was and helped turn something that could have been intimidating into an experience she felt incredibly proud of. That interaction may have seemed like a small moment in the course of a workday, but it was not small to our family. We still talk about it months later. My daughter formed such a special bond with MJ that she looks forward to seeing him whenever we visit, and the rest of our family does too. When it came time for her birthday, we specifically requested MJ as her party host. Once again, he went above and beyond and made her party feel absolutely magical. He remembered her, made her feel special, and gave her the kind of experience a parent hopes their child will remember for years. At first, I wondered if we had simply been lucky enough to encounter one exceptional employee. But the more frequently we have visited and the more staff we have interacted with, the more obvious it has become that this is a culture. MJ will always hold a particularly special place in our hearts because of the extraordinary kindness he has shown our daughter, but there is clearly something very intentional about the team Jeff has built. We visit often, sometimes for a birthday or activity and sometimes simply because our kids ask to go. The facility is always clean and well maintained, there is plenty for the whole family to enjoy, and we consistently leave having had a great experience. There are a lot of businesses that can provide entertainment for kids. What makes this place different is how people are treated while they are there. Jeff and his team have created a place where family fun and genuine kindness seem to matter equally. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you, Jeff, for the culture you have created, and a very special thank you to MJ for the time, patience, encouragement, and care you have shown our daughter. You may never fully realize how much those moments meant to her and to us, but our family will never forget them!!

After spending a long time in traffic and arriving excited, we were told the venue was unavailable for several hours because of a private event. There was no notice online, no update ahead of time, and no effort to help families who had already made the trip. It was frustrating having to completely change plans at the last minute with kids who were looking forward to spending the day there. Better communication and updated information would make a huge difference and help avoid wasting customers' time and energy.
