I don't know if it was because it was Memorial Day and the regular cooks were off. Let's hope that's the case, but I'm definitely not giving them another chance. I dropped $150 on the worst steak ever. It'd be one thing if they were selling something else and happened to also make a steak, but in this case they described themselves as a steakhouse. I asked for lettuce on the side (expecting a leaf of lettuce), but it was finely shredded in a little bowl & very wilted from the hot plate. Overall, the sandwich was surprisingly bland and very dry. I took it apart and only ate the salmon. Side of pea salad was just okay too. While the staff was friendly, they loudly called across the restaurant to each other. Very unprofessional...probably won't return. So disappointed because the menu looked so promising! Too many other great places to try in Sandpoint.

Once you discover hair/trash in your seafood, your first thought is to throw it out, not to get back in your car and drive 15+ minutes for a refund. The complete lack of accountability was about as gross as the food itself. No apology, no attempt to make it right, just a flat refusal and dismissal of a legitimate health concern. If you care even a little about cleanliness, food safety, or customer service, stay far away from Yummy Crab. There are plenty of better restaurants in coeur d'alene that won't serve you contamination, and then blame you for it.
