He did a great job helping me to make a good flooring brand & color decision, and he put his best installer, Glenn, on our project, which turned out to be the highlight of our experience. Glenn did meticulously beautiful work and we were so happy with him. My husband says that sometimes you don't really know how reliable a company is until you see how they handle issues or mishaps. Well, a big issue came up near the end of our project, but they handled it with grace. In the end, we were charged fairly and left with absolutely beautiful flooring that completely transformed the look and feel of this home. We had a great experience with Mike and his company installing a new floor in our sunroom. We got…read morea few different quotes for the work, including from Mike who came out to look at the space on a Saturday afternoon. Mike's wasn't the lowest bid, but it was the only one without contingencies, and the only one which stated up front that his crew would remove the old tile floor, repair any underlying issues with the subfloor, and level it before installing the new luxury vinyl planks. Plus we felt comfortable after meeting him about the plan and the quality of the materials/work. It took about two weeks after signing up to get the planks ordered/delivered, and then set a time to do the installation. A two-man crew showed up around 8:30 a.m., gave me some updates along the way to show what was happening (and ask some important questions I hadn't considered, like which way the new planks should run), and they finished installing the flooring and the quarterround by about 11:30 a.m. Everything looks great, and we are very happy.

It really all unraveled when the first contractor arrived to my house. The demolition guy…read more(ex-husband of employee) damaged a couple walls and my porch. After install, I immediately noticed a squeaky/crunchy noise when walking on my new LVP. After a round of finger pointing, an independent flooring inspector came out and identified that the manufacturer was not at fault, but it was in fact the installer. This process took months and the end result was that there was negligence during prep/installation so back over to the ladies for action. Original purchase and install occurred in July and its now September and just this week the floors were redone, but still experiencing the same noise -- just not to the same degree. I was told to wait for it to settle.. So we will see! I can't help but laugh at this point that I originally paid $700 for quarter-rounds during installation because "they would be damaged" but during the second round of install they did not replace the quarter-rounds and here I am repainting them (yes, full reno back in July). There is no doubt that the ladies are fantastic saleswomen and very helpful with recommending flooring options. Furthermore, they stand behind correcting deficiencies. However, for the amount of money I paid -- I expect quality craftsmanship throughout the entire process.

As we repair one thing, another opportunity/ disaster presents itself. Hubs was able to repair most of the beautiful hardwood floors that were ruined by previous owners but half of our home needed new flooring. Since we live in Ocala, we decided to use Floor & Decor as the option and chose to order online & delivery our first experience. We need countertops for our new kitchen so I suggested to hubs to travel up to the store so we can shop in person and browse options. We also want to weight out price options between different stores. We arrived in the early evening and it was not busy. As soon as we were about to enter the store, we were greeted very enthusiastically by an employee. It was so nice and welcoming. This store is massive! We decided to walk around the entire store since it was our first time here. I was surprised of the imbalance of product genres. Eventually, we located where the countertops were and it was the smallest section of this warehouse size store. Once we located the countertop section, we found very limited options but decided to pull samples together. There are areas where you can put samples together and see how everything looks. After we did that, we decided to leave. Upon walking out, an employee who was working the designing desk offered his card and informed us the services Floor & Decor provides, including someone coming to the home and assisting in ordering, designing, and providing estimates. We were also greeted on the way out of the store. The employees were really nice.
