I went to the floor store to shop for flooring for my stairs. I got the quote back fast and the person who came out to measure was very professional. The sales person is where things go bad. I had a concern and he just kept disregarding it as a concern. Then he laughed at me so I told him what I thought and I left. Many years ago we went to the floor store when it was in Gilbert. The sales person there insulted my wife because of the country she is from. I think they sell flooring like the stereo typical car sale person. I tried twice to use them and I never will again and I do not recommend them. The sales person however did send me an email apologizing. Not a place that will get my money ever!! read more

We had this company install tile in two rooms on two separate occasions. The first time was fine. The installer was a little odd and slower than expected but he did a nice job. The second room was done by a husband and wife duo. They were nice but a bit unprofessional. They brought their young daughter to the job on one of the days. The couple had an argument at one point that was disruptive as my husband works from home and was on a zoom meeting. They were loud and not considerate of my husband's job. But all of that was tolerable. What was not ok was the quality of work this couple provided. The grout was supposed to be a light gray but in some areas it was black as if it was dirty. We gave it a day and called The Floor Store and spoke with our salesperson, Warren. He informed us that is normal and we just needed to give it time to dry. So we waited another couple of days. No change. My husband used a tool and scraped the dark pieces off. It was dirt. We called again and Warren came out to inspect it. He decided to do a treatment to help with the discolor. It improved the tile somewhat but we still had quite a few spots that were still dark and noticeably different. We contacted Warren again and he blew us off completely. Never got back to us. Well we went with a different company to finish the rest of the house. I cannot stress this enough. It was a night and day difference!!!! Compared to The Floor Store, the other company was professional, respectful and honest. We got the same exact tile but at a better price and a FAR better service. It looks amazing and I'm disappointed we didn't find Legends Flooring sooner. Customer service goes a long way. Also, we purchased carpet from The Floor Store 2 years ago and that already needs to be replaced. Do yourself a favor and go to Legends Flooring instead! read more

I went into this store at the recommendation of friends. I wanted nylon carpet only. The salesman I found was trying to sell me the smart strand or the pet carpet because we have pets! I said I want nylon not otters! Their selection of nylon carpet was sparse compared to other places we have been! On top of the salesman not listening to what I wanted but what he wanted to sell! I was scheduled to have carpet installed and was called one half hour into scheduled window and advised they would have to reschedule. I had been up 3 hours before removing all but furniture from room and was upset. I asked to speak to the Owner Bob and expressed my dissatisfaction and was cursed at. I told him I had never heard of any business owner curse out a customer! I hung up the phone and went over to business to demand cancellation and refund due to this development. I asked for any apology and was met with hostility and told to shut the f-up as they processed a refund for me. While waiting I asked the owner and his rep to please put on their face masks and/or wear them properly and was told that they did not have to! They responded with belligerence and aggression, moving in closer to me and began to taunt and mock me. I asked if it was their intention to infect me and was told it didn't matter. They behaved like children. This was the worst experience I have ever had with any business in my life! read more

I've been here twice and got some remnant carpet both times. I was able to get some high quality carpet for a great price. Installation was also very affordable. There was no high pressure in the sale to buy the most expensive stuff and they were very friendly and helpful in finding me what I wanted. I would definitely recommend this store if you want a good deal on remnant product or looking for high-end flooring, or anywhere in between. My number one concern when approaching the Floor Store on installing hardwood flooring was privacy, I live on the 2nd floor of a condominium. The owner prior to my purchase of this unit, had the carpet removed and installed a linoleum flooring while not replace the acoustic underlayment, thats what I call cheap. As a new owner I have had several conversations with my neighbors below and had learned that they could hear every foot step and could hear conversation taken place. So my first priority was to find a store that could resolve this issue, given my neighbor is in his mid 90's I did not want to cause any discomfort for them so again, when I approached the Floor Store I was assured in writing the hardwood floors and the underlayment would resolve this issue stating in writing the sound rating would be between 80-100 and guess what? I hear more noise now than prior to the install. Then there was a issue with running short on materials do to the fact the rep who came out to measure didn't measure a area downstairs so being lucky I had a copy of the builders spec sheet which I used to supply the Floor Store just so they could expiate the estimate, yet they were to come back out and measure this area which they never did. Then the Floor Store tried to blame me for the shortage and wanted me to purchase 2 or 3 more additional boxes of hardwood flooring to finish the job. I them made a complaint about the noise levels I was still hearing and my neighbors as well, I invited the Floor Store over to hear for themselves, every hour on the hour my neighbors grandfather clock chimes and I wanted for them to hear it since they gave me in writing the rating in which they said I would have. Guess what ? The Floor Store owned by Bob Gavin and his Director of Operations refused to come by and listen, they even forced me to pay more money which was outside the scope of the contract therefore voiding the contract in my book but they did pick up the tab on the shortage of material to complete the job, yet they only bought 1 more box and not the 2 or 3 they tried to sell me. I went along with them on this because I was told they would work with me and the manufacture on resolving the sound issue since the owner said "it wasn't his issue it was the manufactures" yet the Floor Store sells this specific material in his store. Any time a business opens its doors they assume liability since they profit from that sale and it was made by The Floor Store. I then contested the charge with my credit card since the Floor Store sent a inspector out to review the install, the person was not qualified (per his own words) to make any determination on the issue of sound, and the questions he asked me were questions that should've been asked to the installer and never did. I did not sit around and watch the install take place since I have my own business to run and when I contested the charge with Citi Visa, they did nothing to assist me. After numerous calls to Citi while providing them with the information I never once got a phone call from them nor was I a part of the negations with the Floor Store on how to resolve this issue. When I asked the Director of Operations how can they send someone out to make a determination on the issue of noise when this person to his own words was not "qualified" to do so, I never received a response and needless to say Citi ruled against me based on their stating it was not within the terms of the contract? Since when is a business not responsible for making false claims and not standing behind their work and statements they make in order to make a sale? My whole purchasing decision was based on the employees statements that the sound rating levels would be between 80-100 and now after I lost my battle with them, I have never heard another word from the Floor Store, I have all the emails if anyone would like to see. Mr. Gavin even went as far as using " I am a disable veteran" in his speech to Citi, I mean how low can a person go. I have always been a huge supporter of our veterans and believe our government has done a poor job of taking care of them as well as our seniors who have to decide if they eat this month or take their meds but to invoke such a measure is pure b.s. and does nothing to help other veterans who are trying to run their businesses. I spent roughly $17,000 to relieve my neighbors from having to hear me and vice versa in which I thought was a fair deal, the Floor Store lied, the ripped me off and now I have hardwood floors that weren't put together correctly, I hear creaking in the floors and I hear more noise now than before. Mr. Gavin even used the inspectors own report in which David P. Zack was by his own words "not qualified to make any determination as to the issue of sound", to this day almost a year later, I have never heard from them. Want to get RIPPED OFF go to the Floor Store in Chandler, AZ, what SCUM BAGS ! They all LIED and STOLED from me, see you in Court Floor Store !! read more

We ended up leaving after about 30 minutes, feeling very ignored and obviously they didn't need our business. Rick was our installer and I can't say enough good things about him. He worked carefully, taking his time to make sure the floor was put down correctly. We have been shopping for tile for a while and was about to purchase 1750 sq ft of tile. We by chance came across the Floor Store and went in to see what they had. My wife was approached and was treated rudely by a sales person with communication skills of a bad car salesman. I went back another day and found some tile I really liked. We went back together an my wife also wanted that tile. During negotiating Chris the owners son was talking down to me and also acting like a bad car salesman. My family was relocating from out of state and had purchased a house and needed all of the tile replaced in the main areas and bath spaces. After shopping around at what seemed countless "big" and small stores, I found the Floor Store and stopped by 10 minutes before closing. I was very impressed with their selection of relevant and current trends, including LVT, wood look Tile and other options. Chris was patient while I stayed 45 mins after closing helping me make my selections before leaving town the next day. Over the next month, they managed the entire job, ordering and install, without me being present and constantly provided pictures and updates during the week long install process. After arriving a month later, we opened the front door to our new home with all new flooring installed throughout. The install was level, straight and I have yet to find an issue. Chris and his install team were a breath of fresh air in a world where everyone seems to be cutting corners. They were not the cheapest nor the most expensive, but they were fairly priced with peace of mind. I would highly recommend The Floor Store for your next flooring job. My wife and I went to The Floor Store today to get some idea, and compare prices on flooring. The staff were kind and let us know that they were available to help if we needed anything. I asked where the hardwood flooring was and was directed there by the first person we met while entering the building. Thier hardwood selection had no solid flooring, just laminate and engineered wood flooring. Thier prices here were on par with solid wood flooring. The bamboo flooring was also engineered and was around 2x as expensive and solid bamboo. We contimued on to the tile section. Ceramic tile on display, no marble, no travertine, no porcelain. On our way to the countertops, we passed the carpet and the vinyl flooring. They had a large selection of carpet and a good selection of vinyl. We were not in the market for either so we did not take too hard of a look. The countertop section was under repair, but the selection was good. The downfall was that the countertop materials had no prices marked anywhere. Nearly all quartz. We were told by a couple of the salespersons that The Floor Store had the largest selection of flooring in town. After viewing the showroom, I would call that a huge over estimation, for both the town of Chandler and the "town" of Phoenix. read more

The store has such a wide variety and selections for all flooring needs. I went in not knowing anything about carpet. They took time to inform me on grades, and piles and padding etc. My salesman followed the whole purchase through the installation. Called me to check in o the job. The installers, were timely, clean and efficient. Very impressed with all aspects. I didn't get the high pressure sale for the more expensive carpet, but what would work best for my familys needs and traffic. Just had new flooring installed in August. Product and installation no problem so far. Problem was with sales person, Warren. He accidentally (?) put thru my several thousand dollar deposit twice. Said he "thought" he had caught it in time. Sure enough it showed up on my credit card twice. When I called him about it he says they (his store) show that they have not been paid twice and "it's probably your credit card company mistake". I contacted card company, yes there were two charges. Called Warren back and he thought the best thing to do was "just don't pay your card". What??? Finally after my card company contacted them and "proved" to them that there were 2 charges from them and they had been paid twice, Warren contacted us to say that they would put thru the credit change. Needless stress and irritation. Could have been handled much better and more quickly and without the denials of any wrong doing on their part and especially the "just don't pay your card" comment! read more

Our sales associate took so much time helping us find the right product. He gave us all the pros and cons of wood, tile and vinyl planks and helped us decide on the right one for our needs. Great experience! I had been looking for about 150 square feet of carpeting for a good price with no such luck. I called multiple shops, most had very poor customer service and didn't even want to bother with me. I found the floor store (which if googled has actually moved a little farther west on Baseline) and right away were helpful and friendly. Their showroom is beautiful and fun to explore. I am not a person to go on Yelp and rave about a company however I have to make this one exception. The showroom was nicely displayed and had a decent amount of variety to choose from. The person who helped me (Chris) was awesome. He was not aggressive but yet very professional, knowledgeable and offered great suggestions. I also like the idea that they don't contract out for their installations. They have their own in house installers. The installation took approx. 3 days to 4 days. They did an absolute wonderful job. The installers (Ephron & team) were WONDERFUL and patient with me. I pointed out a few minor dings to the installer and he responded "not to worry when I will be finished your floors will be beautiful". He was right, they are gorgeous. This whole process at first was quite overwhelming but once I chose The Floor Store and the flooring that I wanted, everything after that went smoothly.
