He was very warm and personable (he recommended a lunch spot nearby that is now one of our favorites in the area!) He walked through all the details with us, gave us a bunch of advice (not in an overbearing way all though - which I'm sensitive to), and made sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. Getting the work done: I was able to text Brian throughout and he texted to check to make sure things were going well, which was helpful. The project manager for the crew was on top of things and made sure everything was being done to our expectations. A team came first to rip out the old floor and then the installation crew came to level the floor and install carpet and hardwood. They paid attention to all the details and gave me options (with pricing) when they found unexpected issues in our new house. Everything was done on time and as expected. The quality of the installation was excellent - corners were sharp, no gaps or issues with the hardwood, carpet was installed really well, etc. The only concern I had was that the flooring people didn't take the molding they had to rip out/replace, which should have been thrown out; Brian had them take care of that after I reached out about the problem, so the issue was resolved (though it would have been nice if the crew had taken all the molding without me needing to intervene). Vibes: Brian, our sales rep / account manager, was wonderful. The crew was fine; they left toilet seats up in bathrooms when they left which isn't the end of the world but is a personal pet peeve and it made me feel like they didn't treat my house with full respect. Otherwise they were very orderly and cleaned up each day after leaving. Cost: Pricing was all competitive with other companies I considered. Overall: I'll likely be hiring them again! They're better than any other flooring company I've hired, and I've hired a few in the last 5 years.

America's Flooring Store came up in our search so we had nothing to lose coming here. First, it is 1000% worth the drive out here. They have so many beautiful selections to choose from. After we shared our style with Lisa, she immediately pulled a few options. I'm not over exaggerating when I say they were all perfect. Both my husband and I leaned towards the same one as our favorite! Lisa really listened which I feel is so rare these days, and made the ordering process a breeze. Our tiles came in quickly in about a week. One of the tile sadly was cracked right down the middle which happens. Nobody can control what happens in shipping, and Lisa immediately took care of this and got replacements! We will never go anywhere else for flooring and will refer all our friends and family here. When sanding he did not cut real deep, after each coat he went over everything with a flashlight to look for any imperfections. With the level of care and expertise expressed he could easily charge double, but he is about being a crafts man and beyond fair in pricing. Also, the installer they recommended did a fantastic job on the installation. Other installation companies I spoke with didn't want to remove the 1960's non-asbestos tiles which were on my slab floor. They wanted to install the new floor on top of them. Tawa's installer had no problem removing the tiles before installing the new oak engineered floor. The new floor looks fantastic!

I…read morecould not be happier after being told for about 5 years by flooring professionals that my pre~finished floor could not be sanded. Not only did they sand it beautifully, they removed the micro bevel as well because it never really looked clean. We were supposed to have it refinished the 6th through the 10th but when they called last Monday to see if they could start Tuesday, April 30th, we were so happy and definitely made it happen. The guys working for him are punctual and friendly and they do so much of the work by hand on their knees. My flooring goes on an angle to make the room look larger so that is not easy and requires extra work. The floor is now nice and flat and I can tell you, too, we had 3 estimates; one other gentleman was very nice and he measured the rooms using the laser as did Tom. Both of those guys said it would be 4 or 5 days to finish. The 3rd guy came in, didn't measure anything, looked around and said it could be done in 2 days for $3600!! Anyway, we loved how professional and precise Tom's quote was. Had I read these reviews first, I may not have gone with him but I am so happy I did choose Tom & Peter Flooring and seeing as these are older reviews, I am confident you, too, will be thrilled. What started as a quote to sand and refinish our hardwood foyer turned into a larger project: we decided to install matching hardwood in our dining and living rooms, then sand, stain, and finish the entire space. The pricing was reasonable, and the timeline worked for us, so we moved forward. During the project, an unexpected issue was discovered beneath the existing hardwood. Luciano clearly explained two options -- one impacting time and budget and one that did not -- provided his professional recommendation, and allowed us to decide. We appreciated the transparency and collaboration, including his help selecting stain colors that complemented the other wood tones in our home. He was professional, knowledgeable, and respectful of our home (and our fur baby). There was one very minor issue with a vent, and it was resolved immediately without hesitation. The tear-out and cleanup exceeded expectations, and we're happy with the final result. As a bonus, the job was completed ahead of schedule.
