9/10; would recommend! I hired the America's Flooring team when I moved into a new house and needed locks changed. Initial contact: We stopped by the store and were introduced to Brian. He was very warm and personable (he recommended a lunch spot nearby that is now one of our favorites in the area!) He walked through all the details with us, gave us a bunch of advice (not in an overbearing way all though - which I'm sensitive to), and made sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. Getting the work done: I was able to text Brian throughout and he texted to check to make sure things were going well, which was helpful. The project manager for the crew was on top of things and made sure everything was being done to our expectations. A team came first to rip out the old floor and then the installation crew came to level the floor and install carpet and hardwood. They paid attention to all the details and gave me options (with pricing) when they found unexpected issues in our new house. Everything was done on time and as expected. The quality of the installation was excellent - corners were sharp, no gaps or issues with the hardwood, carpet was installed really well, etc. The only concern I had was that the flooring people didn't take the molding they had to rip out/replace, which should have been thrown out; Brian had them take care of that after I reached out about the problem, so the issue was resolved (though it would have been nice if the crew had taken all the molding without me needing to intervene). Vibes: Brian, our sales rep / account manager, was wonderful. The crew was fine; they left toilet seats up in bathrooms when they left which isn't the end of the world but is a personal pet peeve and it made me feel like they didn't treat my house with full respect. Otherwise they were very orderly and cleaned up each day after leaving. Cost: Pricing was all competitive with other companies I considered. Overall: I'll likely be hiring them again! They're better than any other flooring company I've hired, and I've hired a few in the last 5 years. read more

These guys are irresponsible and dishonest! I had more than 20 plus hardwood professionals come in and tell me this is an installation mistake our floor buckled like a balloon for 2-3 year old new floor, we even filed a case but lost it just because the judge did not let it go to the discovery because of no direct contract, they got away with it, I hope no one else loses money, time and efforts on them like I did read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about this store! My husband and I are about to remodel our bathroom, and Lisa has been INCREDIBLE every step of the way! We live in DuPage County and checked out a couple stores out here - the tile shop which had some of the worst customer service we've encountered in our life, a couple locally owned who kept pressuring us to use their people for the installation despite us already finding someone we trust, and that left me searching for a new place. America's Flooring Store came up in our search so we had nothing to lose coming here. First, it is 1000% worth the drive out here. They have so many beautiful selections to choose from. After we shared our style with Lisa, she immediately pulled a few options. I'm not over exaggerating when I say they were all perfect. Both my husband and I leaned towards the same one as our favorite! Lisa really listened which I feel is so rare these days, and made the ordering process a breeze. Our tiles came in quickly in about a week. One of the tile sadly was cracked right down the middle which happens. Nobody can control what happens in shipping, and Lisa immediately took care of this and got replacements! We will never go anywhere else for flooring and will refer all our friends and family here. You failed from start to finish. Sent an incompetent salesperson to verify measurements and installation. Then you sent a team to remove existing flooring who left our home almost halfway thru removal and left our home a complete disaster. Then you brought 2 men in to complete the job. Much of the wood was gouged and splintered with all doors and hallways having a 3/4 inch short of the new floors. After they left our home, we had to hire a disaster and remediation company to clean our entire main level which cost us thousands to get our home back. You failed from start to finish! From start to finish, an amazing experience working with America's Flooring Store!!! Beginning with Brian, when we first walked in the store, he was knowledgeable and fully attentive to our needs. He was not rushed and didn't not force us to make quick decisions. He was patient and showed us many samples of flooring and carpeting products. The time he spent with us and the knowledge he passed on of products and the value of what we would be attaining is why we went with this company. On the program management and installation side of things, we were equally impressed with the professionalism and craftsmanship of the work that went into the installation of the flooring, the carpeting, and the resurfacing of old hardwood floors,..along with the staining and sealing of these floors. Santiago, the project manager was outstanding, and so were his staff! It wasn't an easy install given the age of the house, the fact little was done to the house in the last 50 years and surprises that were uncovered in the process of renovation. No matter, Santiago, led his team and found solutions to make everything work. The finished work is amazing! I strongly advise others to be vigilant and make informed decisions before committing to a costly flooring purchase and installation with this company and their third-party installation company based on my recent personal experience, which regrettably was one of extreme dissatisfaction and immense disappointment. In early April of 2024, wall-to-wall carpeting was purchased for a 2 bedroom rental condo unit, after being assured by the saleswoman that the Mohawk carpet I had selected was covered for soil and stain resistance under a lifetime Mohawk warranty. However, after the purchase, installation and my concerns regarding the appearance of stains on new carpeting throughout the unit, I contacted Mohawk's Claim Representative, Zina, who informed me that there was a clear exclusion for rental properties. I was appalled to learn that I had been sold carpeting without any valid Mohawk warranty, despite what was promised. The company owners blamed the manufacturer for the vast, countless stains and claimed in writing (after informing them rentals are excluded from Mohawk's warranty), "America's Flooring Store will approve unit's carpet installation as if it is installed in an owner occupied residence. The Mohawk residential warranty will apply to this property. Nothing more, nothing less." It is my belief the owners will not honor any warranty based on their untrustworthy, unaccountable, unprofessional conduct during this entire process. Owners were insistent a carpet cleaning vendor of THEIR choice would be hired at their expense for all stain removal throughout unit. It's incomprehensible that brand-new carpeting would require professional cleaning at all! Installers had intentionally failed to make me aware of the stained carpet condition before and during installation for unknown reasons, as they requested I stay out of all rooms while work was in progress. I had to bring matter to the attention of the owners, as installers left without notice. The issues did not end there. The third-party installation company, hired by America's Flooring Store was highly unprofessional and exhibited a blatant disregard for safety and condo rules, despite expressing my concerns. The installers' attitudes were dismissive, intimidating, arrogant, disrespectful, leaving large rolls of carpet blocking safe access to the elevators, creating a significant tripping hazard for residents and guests. Despite providing pictures of installers' unsafe work manner to owners, my concerns were dismissed, only defended the installers' unsafe work manner and disrespectful, defiant attitudes. Furthermore, one of the installers had an accident while hastily removing a carpet roll from elevator insisting I not call 911. The carpet installer and owners insisted that their metal transition piece placed between the foyer tile and hallway carpet had been properly installed, despite my concerns that it wasn't durable, long-lasting or suitable for such a high-traffic area. Only after persistent insistence on my part did the "project manager" finally reinstall it correctly. This kind of disregard, dismissiveness and refusal to take accountability on the part of the owners and installers was consistent throughout the project. Given the unsafe and unprofessional conduct I witnessed, I strongly advise any prospective buyers to request a Certificate of Insurance from both America's Flooring Store and their third-party flooring installation company (reluctantly provided by installation company) BEFORE making any purchase, as well as a Final Waiver of Lien BEFORE finalizing payment. In summary, my experience with America's Flooring Store owners and installers has been marked by unprofessionalism, false warranty claims, a complete lack of accountability and customer satisfaction. He knew what I was looking for but not very pushy to sell anything. He clearly mentioned prices ranges by products. I was satisfied with their carpet installatinon. They didn't scratch any baseboard when they removed old carpets. Not only carpet installation, but I also asked this company to refinish floors. The guy did amazing job! I wanted to replace my basement carpet for years but was not happy shopping at any carpet store (felt like car buying), until I found America's Flooring Store. I am so lucky I met Lisa Story. She was great at steering me to the carpets in my budget and ones that met my criteria. She came to measure herself and even dropped off samples in colors she thought I'd like. It was easy to decide on a carpet and the pricing was very fair. The installers, Esteban and Roberto, were fabulous and worked so very hard. They remained on the job until almost 8pm on a Friday night (I have a large carpeted basement). In addition, I had two custom rugs made by America's Flooring Store. One was made using a carpet I had brought in. Lisa found a remnant that matched and was used as a border around the rug, saving me big bucks. The second custom rug was a runner for my mud room. I asked Lisa to find a replacement for what I previously had. I really like what I had but it needed replacing. Lisa outdid herself. She totally nailed it - the color, thickness and even finished edges. I love it more than the previous one! I highly highly recommend America's Flooring Store - and Lisa Story. After getting pricing from a carpet store in VH and a high end design and remodel company I found AFS through their partnership with a vent manufacturer Perfectvents.co out of Michigan. My plan was to have LVP replace my carpet and new carpet for my stairs. I had everything picked out head of time as Joe was the last to bid. Joe bent over backwards to rush over to my home and measure to provide pricing. Joe is down to earth and extremely responsive. He has an LVP, hardwood and resurfacing installer who is just as responsive and attentive to detail. This is an honest business who works hard to make sure you are getting exactly what you want. Overall we had a positive experience, and our floors look great. I worked with Joe, who was very professional and helpful. This was our first flooring project, so we were taken aback by a few things and recommend asking certain questions going in. For example, I recommend getting on the same page regarding panel alignment direction and work expectations, especially with dust. (We expected dust, but not necessarily in closed cabinets - we would have taken additional precautions if we were prepared for this). Mike the salesman was very friendly and professional and worked with my budget. The man who came to measure gave me a call before he came and was very prompt and through. The installers were amazing.
