This was a very unfortunate situation as we're looking for carpet and floor installation and Floors Network had great reviews. This is not to speak on the quality as we did not do any work together but the customer service was a horrible experience where clients shouldn't be gaslit. Adolfo came to our house on a Saturday to measure and he himself was great and very personable and knowledgeable. He provided pricing for carpet and we were trying to get pricing for laminate installation for the rest of the house for which no specific price was provided but a range of $3-$3.50 per sq ft. I texted the number a few days later on a Wednesday, thinking I was speaking with Adolfo, and asked a few questions along with trying to negotiate pricing for both if cash was paid since in person the previous Saturday, he said cash can be discounted. I offered $6000 for carpet installation (was quoted $2489) and the remaining part is about 1250 sq ft for labor on which material is provided. In trading text messages, his daughter, Karin, called me (she wasn't there and we never met) and started accusing and attacking me saying things such as: "We told you $3.50 per" "This doesn't even cover labor" "You ask for discount after discount" "You should work with someone else" Considering I liked Adolfo and wanted to work with him and get all answers ahead of time so no surprises, I was upset by the way I was spoken. I was about to let this go and just move on except they followed up with me 2 days later on Friday asking if they should stop by to measure. Confused, I called the number and his daughter, Karin, answered and I asked to speak with Adolfo as I didn't appreciate the last encounter we had. She said to text him and he'll call me back so I did and a few hours later received a message that they can't work with us at this time. Again, I cannot speak on their quality and in terms of Adolfo, he seemed great and very knowledgable but his daughter helping him run his business is extremely rude, unprofessional, and short tempered. Would not recommend unless you have the knowledge and patience as questions you may ask may be rudely answered or ignored. read more

I was very happy with "The Floors Network's" service. Adolfo was able to fit us in starting the next day, and they finished our 98 year old house in six days. They installed plywood, tile, baseboard, and thresholds. Our house is no longer square and the floors are not exactly flat or level, but they made it work. Aldolfo came to my house to give me the quote for the work to be done on my hardwood floors. He was very nice and professional. Unfortunately he's a terrible communicator and he sent over 2 guys and neither spoke any English. The lead guy was on his telephone constantly talking to his girlfriend. My friend was over who speaks Spanish.' He had a terrible attitude and was so unprofessional. He would grunt rather than speak words. He was mad about the scope of work to be done and acted angry, resentful and unprofessional the entire time that he was working on my hardwood floors. He wasn't cleaning up after himself and had the nerve to tell my friend that it wasn't his job to clean his mess. He told my friend in Spanish that she needed to clean his mess up. He was lazy and was trying to do the job quickly and poorly! Aldolfo would show up maybe once a day for less than 5 minutes and would talk to his guys and then leave my house without checking in with me. I had to do his job as the boss or foreman. His guys were telling my friend in Spanish that Aldolfo doesn't pay him for all the work that he has to do. He took the grate off that covered the crawl space. I didn't realize that he had removed the grate and I fell about 3-4 I down into the crawl space! I hit my calf, feet back, butt and head. I'm in a lot of pain and I have bruises and cuts all over my body. The guy who removed the grate didn't even care that I fell into the crawl space and told my friend in Spanish that it's not his job to put back the grate that he removed! Aldolfo doesn't tell him what work needs to be done, so he's angry and unprofessional about doing the work.? It was very uncomfortable being a single woman to have an angry workmen in my home who wouldn't speak English. My Spanish speaking friend said that he spoke English. When I told Aldolfo that he wasn't communicating the scope of work to his workmen he just shrugged his should and kept his arms crossed. At one point Aldolfo wanted to talk to me in another room. He was telling me that his guys would want more money and he didn't want to pay them! He wanted me to give them more money when the entire scope of work was discussed and agreed to prior to the start of the project. He didn't give me a written quote, everything was agreed to verbally! His daughter Karen takes the calls and he doesn't tell her about the scope of work! Apparently she has the quote which I still haven't seen and Aldolfo deliberately left out a lot of work in the written quote, per his daughter Karen. I've been in the ER twice now due to the pain from the fall. I texted pictures of the problems and damaged areas to Karen, with no response back! He stained my new concrete and driveway with probably oil from his machines. He didn't cover the AC vents so my AC stopped working during this heatwave! I had to have an AC guy come to my house about the AC stoping. The AC guy showed me the filter to my AC and it was covered in wood dust. It had to be removed for the AC to work. Now I have to buy new filters but I'm in too much pain to drive to buy filters. He damaged my walls upstairs and now I have to have 2 walls repaired. He replaced wood with pieces of wood that don't match the existing wood and it's very noticeable. When I pointed it out to him he just grunted and did nothing! There are 2 pieces of wood in my original peg and groove hardwood floors, that they cracked! Again I notified Karen of all of the issues and she does not respond. I would never recommend this company, they send over unsupervised staff who damage your property and are angry about the scope of work! It was a very disappointing experience and incredibly uncomfortable having angry workmen in my home. Please find another company to do your work! read more

This is my second time in less than 1 year using Carpet Idea. I'm definitely a repeat customer. Last year we had Adolfo work on our condo in Pedro, but this year we wanted to do our townhouse in El Segundo. I knew this job was going to be more challenging (steps and a mezzanine area with rails and lots of angles and trim), and we wanted flush noses on the stair steps (costs more but it's worth it!), white risers, etc. It took the installers exactly the amount of time Adolfo estimated at the beginning of the job - they started on a Friday and finished on Sunday, and it's beautiful.
