We had the recent pleasure of working with George Morris, owner of Morris Cleaning & Restoration who did a splendid job on our limestone floors in the dining and living room areas, the marble in our bathrooms and the slate/limestone outdoor patio/lanai. This was the last of 18 house projects we undertook due to the COVID 19 quarantine and inability to travel to care for our aging Moms in other states. We had had a horrible experience years ago with a company called Sureshine who did more damage than good. So this was an amazing experience with George. He came to our home to take copious notes, listen to our concerns and goals, and submit his proposal. His crew showed up on time each day, cleaning up nicely. We stayed at a local hotel to stay out of their way. The results were superb with crack and chips adequately repaired. Our downstairs master bathroom looked brand new with all the dark incorrect grout removed, and the marble floors restored to their original luster. The fragile limestone was buffed to a nice matte finish and even matched the areas not done under some large area rugs. The lanai also looked restored. He used a high quality sealant which we could its effectiveness immediately. Most of all, George has ownership pride, always being available, polite and professional, and aiming to please. We have 2 limestone bathrooms in our home that have never been professionally sealed and protected in 14 years. Needless to say, the tiles were dull, stained, chipping, and, in one bathroom, had large chips of stone that had fallen out. George was great. The job was completed over 2 days. George came both days, first to introduce himself and second to see how the job was going. There were a couple of areas where the sealant around the glass shower wasn't smooth and was bubbling so it was redone without hesitation and looks great. There was tile that had chipped in a couple of areas that was superficial and not possible to fill. George compensated us and adjusted his estimate accordingly. Then there was another part to the job that was not an emergency. I had to send many texts and phone calls to get something booked. Finally when i heard back it was not for another 3 months out for a 3 hour job. THen i went to book it and he said it was filled up and would not give me a new date. Morris recommended I call his contact Pedro because the small job I wanted done would cost a minimum of 550 if I went through Morris. I called Pedro, sent pictures, and he came back and quoted 550, the exact same price! Lol. I called Antonette De Lorenzo, owner of De Lorenzo Granite and Stone to ask who she recommends for stone cleaning and restoration. Without hesitation she said, "George Morris" is the only person she would recommend. He's the best. George personally comes to look at the job request to make sure he knows the scope of the job. Isreal and Jose' arrived early and went right to work. They wore masks, covered all surfaces that led to the work area. Isreal and Jose' were very friendly and answered all my questions. They were able to remove a scored line from the front of my fireplace, I was really worried this could not be removed, but it's completely gone and looks like new. Both of my bathrooms had areas on the floor from improper cleaning solutions. Those are gone too. Not only did Isreal and Jose' make all stone look like new, they even applied an enhancer to my fireplace, just beautiful. My kitchen granite had a few pits that were able to be filled, I can't find where they used to be. Just perfectionists. George responds quickly to all messages. He is friendly and definitely knows this business, plus he hires great people. I will only use Morris Cleaning and Restoration for any stone care.
